“Madison is an amazing cat sitter! My cat is extremely shy and rarely lets anyone pet her, but Madison was able to earn her trust and even get some pets in. She followed all of my instructions perfectly, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and cleaning up, and she went above and beyond by vacuuming my home. I could not be happier with her care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable sitter.”

“Chris took excellent care of our cats while we were away. His daily updates made us smile and laugh and he took great pictures to let us know our boys were doing well. He was obviously very engaged during his check ins because it took him about a visit and half to have our cat’s personalities figured out. His communication and professionalism were top notch! We’d absolutely book him again.”

About: I’ve been fortunate to have amazing neighbors, friends, and church families give me the chance to love their fur friends. I grew up in a big household with not enough room for one of our own. Being able to connect with their dogs have shown me a different type of love. I work 8am-4pm Monday through Friday and free on weekends! I work in Holladay and I’m willing to take my hour lunch off to go check on them if within a reasonable distance. Super flexible with a notice in advance :) I am very organized and some would say a clean freak in general. I treat others homes twice as good as my own because I respect them that much. Tell me how you like to train and care for your pets I will do the same and more.

“After having trouble deciding what to do, we were blessed to find Sandi. This was our first time leaving our cat and we couldn't have found a better person to watch over her. Our cat tends to be shy and wants to stay away from people, but in the short time Sandi watched over her, our cat quickly got attached to Sandi. We loved all the pictures we got while we were away. Thank you for taking care of our little Sammy.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. This varied over the years, but I have walked dogs, stayed at the owners house, or just letting them out to go to the bathroom. I have trained my current chocolate lab to the lovable dog she is today. I am great with animals and have had very little issues with animals in my past. I’m currently working a full time job that is a hybrid role that has flexibility to be fully remote. I have a very flexible schedule and should be able to make most schedules work. I will keep a dog in a fenced in area or always on a leash while taking them outside. I typical don’t have any issues getting a dog into a crate.

About: I’ve been a pet parent myself for 10 years, caring for my own dog while looking after multiple cats. I’ve looked after friends and families animals so I am very comfortable stepping into new environments. I’ve gained hands on experience with pets that require medication (including pills, liquids, injections, etc). I’ve cared for animals of all ages and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior animals who require a little extra patience. I love meeting each pet where they’re at. Whether it’s a gentle cuddle session or an energetic walk, i’ll match your pets energy making sure they feel loved and happy. I'm a student with a pretty steady routine, so I have reliable blocks of time for pet care. On weekdays, I'm free in the late mornings and early afternoons I have practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays but I'm back home by 9:30 AM. Weekends are more open, I always know my schedule ahead of time and can plan around it. I'm rarely away for more than a few hours at a stretch. I plan my week around confirmed bookings and make sure your pets care never overlaps with something else. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable. I always leave the home clean and like to send updates (whether it’s a text or a photo) after visits so you know how things are going. If anything comes up (a change in behavior, a mess, or something out of the ordinary), I’ll let you know immediately. I treat every pet and home like i’d want mine to be treated.

About: I've taken care of all sorts of pets for friends and family ever since I could drive myself. I've taken care of senior pets, special needs pets, and have had to give medication to pets who need it. Besides taking care of others' pets, I grew up having tons of dogs, and I currently take care of my three cats. I'm currently a college student, so my schedule will revolve around my classes. That being said, I try to allow myself plenty of time beyond classes, especially in mornings and evenings, and I will always have weekends free. Here's my current schedule (when I will not be available): Monday: 11-6 Tuesday: Free! Wednesday: 11-6 Thursday: Free! Friday: 10-2 Weekends: Free! I always go outside with a pet to make sure everything is okay (no gates are open, they don't eat anything bad, etc.). I've had a few walk-aggressive dogs growing up, so I know how to safely handle escalated situations on walks. Overall, I put safety above all else because pets are such big parts of our lives, so their safety is a must.

I feel like our cat is already missing Ashlyn! 😊 We would definitely recommend her and would be happy to have her care for our cat again.”

About: I love every size, shape, and breed of dog. I grew up surrounded by and training them. I currently have 3 dogs under my care at home between my roommates and mine. I wash and dry. I sit for friends regularly and know I'm their first call when looking for a sitter. I have as much energy as the dogs’ do, so it works out. I'm currently working part-time and most of the work is from home so I spend 90% of my time with the dogs already. I'm always attentive to their needs and the last time they were let out. I have a fenced-in yard and a dog door in the house. The dog door has taken some dogs time to get used to but most of them pick it up quickly. When walking the dogs, I pair them based on personality and need. And as far as your place, completely up to you how you’d like me to navigate it. I can commute there and back, stay there, whatever is needed.

About: I have experience with all sorts of pets, ever since I was a kid we watched my relative’s dogs, cats, we even watch a relative’s pet bird! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, I cannot imagine a life without my Lolly who has been by my side since 2019. We do almost everything together. I would love to care for your pet’s the same way I care for all animals. I work full time but am very flexible and can make myself available to meet your needs. Recently I got done watching my friend’s ferrets and made myself available to see them 2-3 times a day for feeding, cleaning, and of course play time In my apartment my dog is safe and comfortable while I am away and when I am home we go for long walks and play in the dog park.

About: As a full-time traveler living the van-life dream, I bring a unique blend of dedication, responsibility, and individualized attention to every pet I care for. My background includes years of hands-on experience looking after family pets—especially cats of all temperaments—and running my own professional cleaning business. This means I deeply understand the level of trust, cleanliness, and respect required when managing someone else's home. I specialize in house sitting, drop-in visits, and active dog walking. To ensure your pet gets premium care while allowing me to manage my business and personal errands, I operate under clear service boundaries: STANDARD CARE: My standard house sitting rate covers normal daytime flexibility alongside dedicated overnight care. I spend the vast majority of my day providing companionship, but I maintain standard daytime flexibility to leave the home as needed, ensuring I am never away for more than 4 hours at a time. CONSTANT CARE: If your pet has severe separation anxiety or medical needs requiring intensive, around-the-clock supervision (3-hour or shorter away windows), a custom daytime premium of $25 per day/night will be added to cover the full 24 hours of dedicated care. I treat every home I enter with the highest level of care. I am exceptionally quiet, tidy, and clean. Please review my detailed breakdown below regarding my seasonal availability and typical daily routines to see how we can set up the perfect care schedule for your pet! Because I live full-time on the road, my primary focus is dedicated to the pets in my care! To keep things completely transparent, here is how I manage my availability: ARIZONA WINTER BOOKINGS: During the winter season, pet care is my 100% full-time focus with wide-open availability. I plan to be available in the Tempe/Phoenix area from December 7th, 2026- February 28th, 2027. UTAH BOOKINGS: During the rest of the year, I operate a part-time house cleaning business. I carefully structure my cleaning days so that I am never away from your pet for more than 4 hours at a time. I will always let you know in advance or during your booking request if your booking dates coincides with one of my scheduled cleanings. I'm happy to make changes if necessary to my cleaning schedule if this poses to be an issue, I just need enough time in advance to communicate and make those accomadations. SERVICE FRAMEWORK: To ensure high-quality care, individual time caps apply to drop-in services (1 to 2 hours max) and dog walks (30 minutes to 1 hour max). House sitting bookings operate within flexible arrival windows to account for traffic or weather. I treat your home and your pets with the absolute highest level of care, cleanliness, and respect. HOME SELF-SUFFICIENCY: Because my home travels with me, I am uniquely self-sufficient. For house sitting, I typically sleep in my fully-equipped van parked outside to give your pets daytime companionship while keeping your home private. If your pet requires overnight company inside, I am happy to accommodate that upon request. RESPECTING YOUR SPACE: For longer stays, I may minimally use the kitchen or bathroom as needed—always providing my own food and keeping your space entirely tidy. I am also happy to help collect mail or water plants upon request! CAT SAFETY: To ensure their absolute safety, I strictly adhere to indoor-only boundaries during my visits and always double-check doors and windows upon entering and leaving.

Chris seemed very attentive and reliable when it came to learning everything I was asking for, and making sure my cats stayed happy & healthy! He made fast friends with two of my cats, and left good reason to believe he was treating my 3rd with the proper care and patience, when I read his updates. He takes great photos and was easy going about an additional request I had for him that made my trip out of town the bee's knees - even though it was outside the scope of normal "cat" needs.

Razan has been amazing with my girl. She helped me out by watching her for a weekend, but has become one of my go-to let out people during my long work days. She’s always sure to send pictures and videos as well as updates on how Cal is doing. In addition, my senior lady has some anxiety (especially after some recent moves) and tends to get into things. After she knocked over my trash can and spread the contents throughout the house, Razan happily cleaned it up for me as I was still stuck at work for the next few hours. Happy to have her helping us out and providing care for my girl while I’m away on trips or long work days.

Kelly was a great caretaker for my precious 18-year-old Kittie. Jasmine was very well-adjusted as I put it after having been gone for a whole two weeks. Very pleased with the care she received. I was very happy returning to everything being in order. Kelly followed the instructions closely and asked questions when she ran into a problem. I most enjoyed the dailey photos she would post on the Rover Report Card. I will be using her service again. Thank you Kelly -M

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Jamestown

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Jamestown is $29 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $21 and $39 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 4,396 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Jamestown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jamestown. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
