“Thanks for walking Robin! Rachel is great at communicating with and took such good care of my pup that he didnt want her to leave!! Will definitely rebook!”

“I am very picky with who I let around my dog, Dexter, but as I soon as I began conversing with Ashlie, I was put at ease. I felt instantly that I could trust her, and my instincts were right! Ashlie exudes positive energy, she is prompt in communicating with me while walking Dexter, and she sends me photos of their adventures together. I came home to a very happy, and well taken care of, fur baby. I will definitely be using Ashlie’s services in the future!”

About: I've taken care of many pets throughout the years. Last year I lost my 14 yo Daizy (Yorkie). She was a senior who was partially blind and required special baths, food and medication. I have a deaf dog who is 15+ and understand the need to make myself known without scaring my sweet boy. Daizy and Dodger (dogs) had/have severe anxiety, I'm familiar with thunder jackets, CBD for calming, and using music/white noise as a distraction during weather events or fireworks. I have a cat named Hank who is about 4.5. He showed up at my husband's shop in downtown Salt Lake. He lived with the feral cat colony the shop cares for. He took a special liking to my husband and was very friendly. We think he may have been dumped by his previous family. Long story short, we built him a cat castle and brought him home. He's such a sweet boy, love him SO MUCH. (And all the pets get along, yay!) Additionally, I've had 4 dogs, raising them all from puppies. My Daizy also gave birth to 3 puppies and I'm familiar with pregnant/nursing dogs. I work part time with a very flexible schedule. I recently lost my 14 yo Daizy (Yorkie). She was an angel on earth. She was so funny, very demanding (she'd tell me when to tuck her in and when she wanted her medicine) and required a lot of special care. I'm quite lost without her and am looking for a way to give away that extra love to other sweet babies. Please note: I have a 6 year old and 9 year old. Depending on the time of day or time of year I may be required to bring them to the visit. I would notify you ahead of time -were that the case. They are very polite young ladies who are very respectful of others' and their property. One of my reviews, is a long time client Wendy (20+ years) and my girls help me on all her visits (per request from her dog 😉). Bailey (lab) loves playing fetch with my girls. I'm quite particular on not disturbing anything, and if there were any messes left by our furry friends I would not leave until it was taken care of. Safety and cleanliness are a priority for me. I actually work in a hospital setting that has trained me to be hyper vigilant on safety and cleanliness.
“Emily was wonderful! I wish we had found her sooner. She was very responsive, communicative and timely. She was excellent with my dogs and made sure she knew all about them before their first walk. One of my dogs is fearful and Emily was very kind to her and went slowly with her. Within several minutes, they were good friends and my dog was seeking belly rubs from Emily. My other dog recently went through a major surgery and I really appreciate that Emily listened to her and turned around to head back home when she had enough. I highly recommend Emily and will be booking with her again. Thank you Emily!!”

About: I am a grandma who loves to walk and loves pets, so win/win for everyone!! Can’t wait to meet your fur babies and start walking! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. Because of my retirement, I am consistent with feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins, and I make sure each pet gets attention throughout the day—not just the basics. I’m available on weekdays and weekends, and I build in flexibility so I can adapt to each pet’s needs, whether that’s extra potty breaks, medication, or just more cuddle time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I’m attentive to details like securing doors, monitoring behavior, and keeping a close eye on anything that could pose a risk. I also provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Hailey is fabulous. She is a great communicator, she is reliable, she provides wonderful updates on the walks, she learned our routine on the first day, and most importantly—she won over my tricky Vizsla. I recommend Hailey!”

About: I have been house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and I love being able to make sure pets and families are both comfortable and taken care of when they can’t be together. I am very active so your pets will be exercised/ lots of play if that’s their vibe! I work a very flexible job that can accommodate trickier schedules, but my shifts can be 6 hours so ideally the pets I watch can be alone for that long during the morning/ early afternoon. My weekends are very free and able to accommodate pets that have smaller time frames of being alone. I was taught by my mom to always leave everything better than I found it, so you can expect to come home to your home as clean or cleaner than you left it and happy pets! I want to create an environment that you know your pets are in good hands. Establishing trust is so important I’ll be available for communication before during and after the stay to ensure that you feel comfortable with my care!
About: For NEW CLIENTS use promo code jainat17846 for a discount with your first booking with me! I joined Rover in August 2022, but l've been caring for friends' and neighbors' pets since I was 10 years old. Over the years, I've looked after dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, reptiles, and more. I have a special soft spot for senior pets, but l love the energy and joy that puppies and kittens bring too. Every animal I meet is treated like my own - with patience, attention, and plenty of love. Rover is my main job, and I plan my other work around it whenever possible, so my schedule is very flexible. I always make sure there's plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. Whether your pet loves outdoor adventures or prefers to follow a calm daily routine, I'll adjust to what makes them happiest. I live in a house with a fenced yard, shared with three friendly dogs who enjoy both playtime and relaxing around the house. I'm comfortable administering ear drops, eye drops, and oral medications. I can also carry dogs up to about 90 pounds if needed - perfect for pets who need a little help getting around. Your pet's comfort and safety always come first.
“Kelly is communicative, accommodating, and our fur babies love her! She always reaches out with questions or concerns if they should ever arise and that puts our mind at ease. We love and would recommend Kelly to anyone!”

“Susan was so patient with our dog Cricket who had not a lot of experience with dog walkers. I love the way that she communicated and was super punctual. Susan is a great fit for us as we are trying to get Cricket a little more socialized.”
“Christian is amazing! He was very reliable and took our dog on great walks. He was communicative and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. Our pup definitely has a new friend!”

About: Hi there! I have a sweet dog named Momo who loves other dogs as well as cats. I’ve dog sat, walked, boarded, etc for the last 15 or so years. I like spending time with animals and giving them lots of attention, respect, care and love. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and runs, as well as throwing tennis balls and playing with their favorite chew toys. I am an easy going, but an active and responsible person. I love to have fun, but I also like to be safe and know when I need to lay down the law. I am easily contacted via my cell for scheduling and general check-ins on how your dog is doing. I would love to make your acquaintance and see how I can help you and your furry friend! I work from home with a 9-5, somewhat flexible schedule so I am available for all your dog needs. I usually walk my dog twice a day and can accommodate similar needs. I have a fenced in yard with a dog door for pups to run around whenever they want. I’m also a short walk to the park for some ball throwing play time! My own dog is crated when no one is home, but if your dog is house trained I do not require crating for them.
About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs since I was 10. I raised my current 8 year old cats from when they were kittens and I know how to work with puppies, elders, and every dog in between. I helped to train my dogs when they were puppies and still teach them new tricks even though they are now adults. I am currently on summer break before school kicks in so I have plenty of time to care for and watch your dogs/ cats. Until school starts in the fall I am free both day and night, most days of the week to take care of your pets. I have a fenced yard, 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, and rabbits. Since I have so many animals I know that each animal is unique in personality and I will be able to give your fur babies the love and attention they require. My animals are well fed, well played with, and well loved and I will do the same for yours in their own environment.
About: I have cared for pets of all breeds and ages belonging to both myself and to others' for 2/3 of my life. I love animals and have always found that I connect with them readily and easily. My job is flexible and done mostly from home, which makes me available almost all of the time for you and your pet's needs and care. I will always communicate with you about how your pet is doing while in my care and be mindful of any needs they have. I will give them lots of love and attention!
Cottonwood Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rachel is very intuitive and worked well with my quirky little dog. She went above and beyond to make it work for her. She even stayed extra to give her time to relax enough to potty on their walk. She communicated well with questions she had or I had. We really appreciate her!
