“We’re so thankful for you, Ashlie! We appreciate you keeping Sasha cared for while we were away. Thank you for updating us daily on how Sasha was doing. Until next time!”

“Zanubia was super communicative and took good care of our 3 cats. She kept us up to date on which ones she saw (we have 2 that regularly hide with new people) and took cute photos of the ones she saw. Would use again and would recommend!”

“Kira is a sweetheart and my dog, Maizy, took to her right away. Kira did drop in visits, took her on walks, and spent extra time with her. Maizy was so happy with the attention and Kira was great company for her. I looked forward to the updates, receiving notes/picture each time. Kira is trustworthy and I really appreciate her tender loving care of my sweet puppy.”

“Spencer did a terrific job making sure my cat was fed and taken care of while I was away. He went above and beyond by giving her some extra food when my flight got delayed a day, so she would survive a day alone. Super Responsive and sent pics every day. Highly recommended!”

About: I love animals. I have been caring for them for years and find joy in making sure they are happy. It is my first priority to care for your pet in the way you prefer. I am punctual and excited to meet new pets that I can care for. I’m an independent contractor which means I get to create my schedule. Luckily for me, this means I can pick up different side hustles at whatever times I want. I already do cardio everyday by walking so this would fit perfectly into my routine. Whatever rules or expectations the owner wants, I will take with great care, caution, and intention. The safety of your pet and the respect of your home is of utmost importance to me.
“Meisha did an amazing job caring for our cat Baxter. She is a reliable, communicative sitter. Meisha sent photos and updates at every drop-in and was easy to get a hold of if we had a question. We definitely plan to hire Meisha when we travel again in the future.”

“Rachel was amazing from the start of our communication thru the end of the visits with Max. She communicated well and worked with me on adding a second visit the same day, I definitely will use Rachel again!!”

“Laynee is a fantastic sitter. She was so kind and communicative while we were away this week. She sent me pictures every day and I know my cat was well taken care of. Will definitely be using her service again!”

About: I’ve cared for neighbor dogs for 3 years, both young and old. I’ve handled normal daily tasks, cleaning, bathing and medication administration. Lots of long walks! I work 3-4 days a week (full-time) at my current job as a physician assistant, so I have 2-3 days off a week to help with fur babies! I’m on an as-needed basis. My job is at a local urgent care in Sandy. We have various locations, but I generally work at the Sandy location. I have a car to drive anywhere to visits pets, ideally within 15 miles of cottonwood heights! I normally cater care as per parent request. Whatever they would like me to do, I do! Walk, bath, clean, brush, play, feed, medications, throw ball, take to park, etc.! With approval, I’ve taken pets to local parks, national parks, walk about 2-3 miles with them and bath them if needed. I generally avoid dog parks unless the parent approves or likes a certain one for their pet!
About: I've spent some time working in grooming, working with trainers, and have spent many years house sitting and pet sitting. I have experience with young, energetic pets as well as old, ill pets and everything in between. I'm comfortable meeting any needs that your pets have and will treat them as though they are my own. I work remote so I am able to be at home with your pets the majority of our time together. I have a very flexible job so I'm able to let them out and give them loves as often as they want. The only thing I need is a place to set up my laptop and phone. I will love your dogs like I do my own and will take great care of them. I am experienced with taking care of sick animals, so if you have any concerns about their health, know they are in good hands!
“Madison picked up our last minute request to watch our cats since we got engaged and extended our trip to the other coast at the last minute. She was super sweet, prompt, and followed instructions perfectly. I will definitely hire Madison again if she is available. Thanks Madison!! :)”

“Afia stepped in when our first sitter went MIA after we had already left for our trip and we were so grateful!! Our pup loved her, she was incredibly communicative, and I had no worries at all. Would definitely book again.”

About: My name’s Chris and I’m a nursing student and animal lover! I’ve had 4 cats over the course of my life with varying medical needs, from prescription diets to daily oral medication. I also love dogs and have spent lots of time around dogs, and I’d love to take care of yours :) I’m currently a student so my schedule is pretty flexible from now until January! My schedule will look different after January, but I should know more as January approaches. I can feed your furry friends, play with them, administer their medications, crate them, take them for walks, comfort them, give them treats, and anything else your friend may need while my services are needed!
About: Cats and dogs love me and I love them! On top of that, I've taken care of a number of family friends' pets (dogs and cats mostly) while they were away for various lengths of time from days to weeks. That care included feeding, walking, bedding down for the night, housesitting, cleaning litter boxes, and so on. I'm working on becoming a published author and I can write anywhere. That gives me a lot of flexibility. Have laptop, will travel. What more can I say? I usually prefer to stay at the client's home so that I can be right there to care for their pets to the best of my ability.
“Angelica was recommended to us by our normal cat sitter when she wasn’t available. She did a great job filling in and took charge of coordinating with our normal cat sitter for details since we were unavailable on travel. Thanks for the help!”

I ensure that all potentially hazardous materials, such as cleaning supplies and medications, are stored securely out of reach. i will maintain their regular routine so they feel comfortable and secure.

“Hayley watched our 18+ year old kitty while we were on vacation. Gave him his meds twice per day, fed him and gave him lots of love. We were very comfortable while on vacation knowing that he was in great hands. We will call upon Hayley again in the near future to take care of our baby (senior :) )”

“Helena was a lifesaver! We were so grateful to book her for our 3 week trip away. She showed up daily for our two cats and sent me pics/vids to keep me in the loop. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for pet care ☺️”

Kelcie did an amazing job taking care of our dog and our home while we were away! She came by each day without fail, kept our pup happy and loved, and even collected our chicken eggs — which was above and beyond! We came home to a happy dog and everything exactly as we left it. She is reliable, caring, and clearly a true animal lover. We would not hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!

I have had the privilege of having Crystal take care of my dog Lily the past couple of years, and she goes absolutely above and beyond in dog care. We have never had someone so attentive, caring, loving, and courteous. My dog can be quite shy and reserved, especially with new people, but in no time at all she was wagging her tail and squealing with excitement when it came time to hang out with Crystal. Soon after, she would perk up and start wagging her tail with a mere mention of Crystal's name! Separation anxiety can go both ways, but with Crystal I always know my dog is incredibly happy and given ample attention, love, care, exercise, and affection. From afternoon walks to week-long trips, she always takes care of my Lily as her own, and I have peace of mind knowing that Lily is in the best of hands. Thank you, Crystal, for all of your help over the years!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
