Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I'm currently returning to school for my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my days around the pets I'm caring for. My own Shih Tzu, Lucy, gets daily walks, playtime, and lots of attention, so caring for dogs is already built into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that's neighborhood walks, hikes, or trips to dog-friendly parks. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'm happy to include them (with your permission). I also make time throughout the day for feeding, enrichment, potty breaks, cuddles, and, of course, plenty of photo updates for owners. I believe pets thrive when they have consistency, attention, and exercise, so I make it a priority to provide all three while they're in my care.

Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible by keeping them on their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any special needs or preferences. I make sure every pet gets plenty of love, attention, playtime, and mental enrichment throughout the day. If your dog enjoys being active, I'm happy to provide neighborhood walks, nature walks, or dog-friendly hikes with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and loves making new friends, but I'm equally happy to provide one-on-one outings if that's a better fit for your dog. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. I'll keep your home clean, provide regular updates with photos and videos, and make sure your pet feels safe and loved until you return. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is receiving the same level of care, affection, and attention they would receive from family.

Information Sofie L. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as I can so I can provide the best possible experience. Some of the most important things I like to know include: * Your pet's daily routine, including feeding schedule, potty breaks, and exercise needs. * Any medications, allergies, or medical conditions. * Their personality—are they shy, energetic, anxious, or a couch potato? * How they interact with other dogs, children, and new people. * Any fears or triggers, such as thunderstorms, fireworks, bicycles, or other animals. * Favorite toys, treats, games, and activities. * Commands they know and any training you're working on. * Whether they're comfortable going on hikes or longer walks, or if they prefer shorter outings. * Emergency contact information and your veterinarian's information. The more I know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can keep them safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. My goal is to care for every pet as if they were my own and make sure you feel confident they're in loving, capable hands.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor activities to their personality, age, and energy level. Some of my favorite activities include neighborhood walks, dog-friendly hikes, trips to local parks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, and plenty of playtime. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, I'm just as happy to spend time cuddling, giving belly rubs, brushing, or relaxing together. My Shih Tzu, Lucy, loves making new friends and often joins us on walks and adventures if it's a good fit for your dog. If your dog prefers one-on-one attention, I'm always happy to accommodate that. I also believe mental enrichment is just as important as physical exercise, so I enjoy incorporating sniff walks, treat-finding games, basic training practice using positive reinforcement, and exploring new sights and smells. My goal is for every pet to have fun, stay engaged, and come home happy and tired after a great day!

Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Sofia, and I'd love to become your dog's new favorite sitter! As a lifelong animal lover, I know that pets are family. When you're away, my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. I'm currently returning to school to earn my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of quality time and attention to the pets in my care. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy because it combines my love of animals with spending time outdoors and helping fellow pet owners. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, as well as small animals like guinea pigs. I take the time to learn each pet's routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and right at home. One of my favorite things to do is explore Utah's beautiful trails. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'd love to take them on dog-friendly hikes or nature walks with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and hikes and loves making new friends. If your dog prefers one-on-one outings or does better without another dog, I'm always happy to accommodate that. Every walk is tailored to your dog's personality, energy level, and your preferences, with safety always coming first. When your pet is with me, you can expect: 🐾 Plenty of love, attention, and playtime 📸 Frequent photo and video updates 🚶 Walks, hikes, and activities tailored to your dog's needs 💊 Medication administration if needed 🍽️ Careful attention to feeding schedules and special instructions ❤️ Patient, positive, and compassionate care My professional background in healthcare administration and education has taught me to be dependable, organized, and an excellent communicator. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your dog loves adventures, belly rubs, or simply having a companion while you're away, I'll treat them like one of my own. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I look forward to getting to know you both.

Sofie was awsome! She went above and beyond to make my fur babies happy. Trips to the park, and long walks. I highly recommend her and will be using her again to sit for my dogs.
Sofie is one of the best dog sitters i have worked with. She loves and cares for my dogs and that is why i keep on coming back anytime i need a sitter.
Anyone who has a dog knows that when faced with the need to entrust another with their care, the process can be incredibly overwhelming and anxiety-inducing. Can you trust this person to ensure your dog will have the care and love they need? My husband and I have been through this same dilemma. Fortunately, Sofie exhibits all of the characteristics of what any loving dog-parent would desire of a caregiver. She's dependable, caring, patient, and smart. I couldn't recommend Sofie enough--she's fabulous.
Sofie has watched our chinese crested multiple times while we go on our vacations. She takes care of his special skin care regime, brushes his tooth regularly and follows his rigorous special diet to a T.
