“Elisabeth is awesome! She has taken my dog Graham out for several walks and somehow manages to get him out and about (even though he is a bit lazy). She takes great care to make him feel comfortable and I feel so at ease knowing he is in good hands. Would recommend!”

“Ella is wonderful and I always feel good when she stops in to see my pup. She came to the house for a meet and greet before we started scheduling regularly. She leaves great notes on the walk, and any key details. I can rest easy knowing our pup is in good hands.”

“Eric is awesome. He admitted that he was newer to Rover but made up for it with extra effort and dedication. I appreciate the time that he took with my doggo and kept me updated on how things went. I highly recommend Eric and will continue to be a repeat customer of his for as long as he is available. Thank you Eric!”

“Emily was very communicative! She came by for a meet and greet before her drop-in visit to get to know us + Indiana. She asked questions and gave helpful feedback after her visit! We would book her again!”

If you’re a multiple-pet home, I’m the perfect person for the job! I love taking time to get you know the pets in my care, so I am happy to accept longer bookings as well. I’m a full-time dog trainer, so pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. I am available most days of the week and can work with almost any routine. About: Im a total dog person and have cared for many kinds and ages, from puppies to seniors, since I was a kid. I know how much it means to know your dog is safe and having fun; I limit the number of dogs we watch to two maximum at a time to make sure each dog gets personalized care & attention. When your dog is staying with me they are part of our family. We have a large fenced in yard perfect for lots of exercise and my neighbors all know me from my long walks. My husband and I work from home so we are at our house all day during the week to take care of any dog in our home. We have a fenced in yard next to my office, so they can play outside as long as they want to while being supervised. Safety is of importance to us, so we only watch 2 dogs from different families max at a time. I supervise meetings and introduce them slowly and carefully.
About: Whether shy or excitable, I'm a calming presence that most pets I've met are drawn to. I have 7+ years dog walking and house sitting experience, with all ages and types ranging from puppies still learning to seniors who need extra care. I have experience with basic training and administering medicine. You can rely on me for consistent walks and drop ins, and for tidy, respectful house sits. This is my full time job, so I'm available often and my schedule is flexible. I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your pup or kitty, the longest I'm away for other appointments is typically up to 4-6 hours. My clients know that they'll come home to a clean and tidy house, with little to no sign of my being there other than happy pets!
“She is absolutely amazing! Very reliable and is super friendly with my pup. He automatically loved her and waits for her when it’s time for her to come. So happy I found Daynara!”

About: Over the past two years, I've cared for cats and dogs in my own home and absolutely love spending time with them. My experience goes beyond the basics, too — I've helped care for my family's pets including snakes, fish, ferrets, and hamsters, so I'm comfortable and confident handling a wide range of animals, not just the usual ones. I believe every pet has its own personality and needs, and I take the time to learn their routines, quirks, and comfort levels so they feel safe with me. Whether it's an energetic pup who needs a good walk, a cat who wants quiet cuddle time, or a more unique pet with specific care requirements, I approach every visit with patience and genuine enthusiasm. Animals bring me so much joy, and I'd love the chance to give your pet the same care and appreciation I give my own Right now, I have full availability for visits and sitting between 7am and 7pm, since I'm currently between jobs and on the lookout for a morning position. This means I can offer flexible, reliable scheduling for your pet's care during this time. Once I land a new job, I'll update my availability here so you always have the most accurate picture of when I can help Before my visit, please let me know a few key details: backyard access, walking needs, feeding schedule/food specifics, and any favorite enrichments or activities your pet loves. This helps me give them the best care possible while you're away!

We are moving and will miss Bridgette so much! Our dog is scared of new people and she worked so hard and was patient enough to to gain his trust - now I can tell he loves when she visits and takes him on walks. I am so thankful for her care for Toby, from last minute schedule changes to checking in on him when he was post op from his TPLO, we always knew we could trust her with his care!

Diane had excellent communication throughout the booking and made sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of my pups. My dogs were very well taken care of and I was completely at ease having Diane over their care! Highly recommended and will be booking again when the needs arise! Thank you!!!

Myla Rose has done many walks as well as house sitting for us and has been an absolute pleasure to work with! Our dog can take awhile to warm up and they have definitely earned his trust. We can tell he enjoys their time together. During the most recent house sitting, our dog had been sick and we had to cancel his daycare stay, but thankfully Myla was available for a last minute dog sitting and despite our dog needing some closer monitoring than usual we felt completely at ease leaving him in their care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
