“Madison picked up our last minute request to watch our cats since we got engaged and extended our trip to the other coast at the last minute. She was super sweet, prompt, and followed instructions perfectly. I will definitely hire Madison again if she is available. Thanks Madison!! :)”

“We had such a great experience with Christina! Throughout the stay, we received regular updates, photos, and little notes that showed just how well our dog was being looked after. It was clear our dog was happy, relaxed, and getting lots of attention, and love. We especially appreciated the reliability and professionalism, everything was handled exactly as discussed, and even a few extra thoughtful touches went a long way. Coming home to a happy, well-cared-for dog made all the difference. We would absolutely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“I was very nervous about leaving my dogs behind during my day trip, but she handled them great even when they parked. When I saw pictures, both dogs looked very relaxed and I was very satisfied with the drop in visit ?”

“Lyndi is an amazing sitter who shows her love for animals through action. She takes the time to form bonds with each pup she cares for and that is truly special. I felt good leaving the dogs in her care, knowing she was going to be there rain or shine. 10/10 recommend”

“Chloe is THE BEST! I had to leave my kitty for months unexpectedly and she was so committed to taking the best care of my Jett. Chloe is flexible, easy to communicate with, and makes me feel so comfortable. She goes above and beyond and I trust her wholeheartedly with my fur baby!”

About: Not accepting dog walking for the next few weeks due to weather/fire conditions. I have asthma and the smoky air isn’t good for me to be in for long. I have a few years experience looking after all kinds of dogs; from the elderly, to injured, to dogs needing specific diets or medication. I have also looked after cats and reptiles before! I teach special education kids Tues-Thurs from 9 AM until 12:00 PM during the summer, so during those times I am not available. In the case of dog sitting, just be aware that I won’t be at the home during those times. I will care for and treat your pets as if they were my own; with all of the love and routine that they need. I will follow any and all instructions you need for your pet; including walk schedules, dietary and medicinal needs, and sleep times.
“Jaina took wonderful care of our three cats while we were away for a little over a week. She did a great job of coaxing our shyer cats out. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her or recommend her again!”

“Genny is the best. Takes great care of our animals and her communication kept everyone happy. We looked forward to her updates and photos. Absolutely love having Genny as our caretaker and highly recommend.”

About: I am a dog owner myself and know the needs of a dog can be similar to my children! I love animals like I love my kids! I appreciate you allowing me to tend your dogs and or cats. I work from my home. I have a 18 year old who helps with potty breaks when I am out running errands or have meetings. My son also house sits and dog sits for close friends of mine so as a family we will take really good care of your pet like they are our own. I do not have a fenced backyard but always go out with my dog to potty and wait till he’s done. I always make sure that when he goes out he comes back in with me.
About: I grew up on a farm caring for animals and being around dogs my whole life, so animals have always had a special place in my heart. It heals my heart a little more everytime I get to spend quality time with a furry freind. I’m happy to help with dog walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping pets company while their owners are away I work in the evenings so I have the perfect opportunity to take your puppers out to get some sunshine, fun, human interaction, food, and a nap. Your pets safety is always my number one priority. My attention to detail is great and my heart is always fully present on the well being of these cherished souls
About: Tried to be a breeder for the Daniff breed. Mixes of Great Danes and Mastiffs. Ours happens to be the Italian mastiff (Cane Corso). We were expecting 6 puppies and had 10. I also have 3 French bulldogs at the house. So know how to care for big or small. Check with my schedule, work isn’t a set one but will try to adjust to make it work. Can’t have kids, so we naturally have 9 dogs. You can imagine it takes up a lot of our day, pretty much all dogs all the time, and one brave cat. I don’t do care at my home. I’ll do drop-ins or stay at your house. I have too many giant dogs, to bring any over.
“Spencer was great with our senior pittie. He worked with her some on her separation anxiety. He arrived on time and left on time. He is a gem of a sitter and we look forward to having him back.”

“Alyssa was great!! Even though my dog is very shy, Alyssa took the time to have come out of her room and had her come outside. She’s very respectful and followed the instructions I left for her in order. She came to my house to check on Canela and made me feel my doggie was not alone. I really appreciate her for that and if I need to go out of town again and I can’t bring my doggie. I’ll call her again. She’s really good with pets 😌”

“Great pet sitter and communicator. Michelle has taken care of our little farm multiple times and we are always impressed and happy with how much care and attention she gives everyone.”

“Ella was great! Appreciated her punctuality, communication, and kindness to our Mosey. I didn’t want him to stay home alone for 7 hrs and she was so quick to reply and follow instructions perfectly. Mosey loved her! Thanks Ella (:”

Myla Rose took such great care of our two cats! This was my first time using Rover and I was feeling a little anxious on how it was going to go. After every visit she would send photos and detailed descriptions of her visits with the kitties which we looked forward to seeing and reading and also helped reassure us that they were in good hands and doing great. We came home to two happy cats and feel more than confident booking with Myla Rose again!
I highly recommend Natalie! We started with a meet and greet to go over the routine for my dogs and cats, and she handled everything perfectly. She was incredibly sweet with my pets, took great care of them, and sent wonderful picture updates while I was away. I will definitely be using her services again!

Sailor has helped my fur family out for the past six months or so. She did walks with my pups multiple times a week for months. We just started booking her for in home sitting after the passing of one of my dogs triggered extreme separation anxiety in my surviving dog. Really grateful to have her help as she is so consistent and timely. She always provides a calm and kind energy that has always been so appreciated.

This was my first time using Rover, so not sure what to expect. Cassie was amazing, she was so responsive to any questions, and my girls were so well taken care of. I came home to happy healthy dogs and would highly reccommend Rover and especially Cassie and will most definatly use them again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Murray. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
