I’ve been caring for pets since 2008, starting with my beloved Pomeranian👼 As a couple, we fostered dogs and cats before beginning our Rover journey in 2019. 🌟 House Rules For Dog Boarding 🌟 MEET & GREET + Free PRE-BOARDING REQUIRED (2 hours) for all new dog boarding clients. Prior to their stay, all dogs must: 🩺 Be in good health 💉 Be up to date on routine vaccinations (proof required) 🏠 Be fully house-trained 📍 Meet & Greet Options I offer FREE Meet & Greets at Harmony Park: 3752 S Main St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115. For drop-in clients, I offer VIRTUAL Meet & Greet. If you’d prefer meet at your home, I charge $10 Meet & Greet fee, which will be applied toward your first booking if we move forward. Rover applies a separate service fee on their end, which is not included in the credited amount. Please send a separate drop-in request for the Meet & Greet appointment. The request may initially show my regular drop-in rate. I’ll review it and adjust the visit rate to $10, then confirm or suggest a time change it needed. We’re a couple with a deep passion for animal care, proudly fostering pets before starting our journey on Rover in 2019. Our experience has given us a strong foundation in understanding animals’ unique needs, whether it’s caring for a playful puppy, providing comfort to senior pets, or helping rescue animals feel at home. don’t know what could have been better
Abby was patient with my nervous/anxious/reactive pup. Her care and consideration made the process of leaving on a trip less stressful. She got out with my dogs to antelope island and I got lots of photos of the dogs having fun! I got lots of photos and updates throughout my trip which I appreciated considering I was 2000 miles away! I would recommend and would be happy to book with her again :)
Abby was great with our dog and cat!
Abby was amazing! She paid attention to details, sent videos, and took great care of both the pets and the house. I could tell that she was attentive because of how calm the dogs were when I got home. :)

Schedule
I live near a park and have a spacious apartment community where I can take dogs for walks, with potty breaks 3–4 times a day to keep them happy and comfortable.

A typical day
I love to keep your pets active and engaged! We’ll spend time exploring the nearby park, taking peaceful walks, and enjoying playtime. I’m happy to tailor activities based on your pet’s needs and energy level. 🐾 Outdoor Adventures & Hikes We’re an active household and love taking dogs along for outdoor adventures whenever their energy level and the weather allow! For hikes and longer outdoor activities, safety always comes first. During warmer weather, I’m especially careful about overheating. I love taking photos and short videos along the way so you can see what your pup has been up to 📸 Not every dog needs a long or challenging hike. Some dogs are happiest exploring a neighborhood trail or relaxing at the park, while others love a bigger adventure. I adjust activities based on your dog’s age, personality, fitness level, behavior, and what you’re comfortable with. My goal isn’t to see how far or fast we can go — it’s to make sure your dog has a fun and safe experience.

- Meet & Greet & Boarding Guidelines ❤️ Big or small, I love them all! My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for every pet in my care. 🤝 1. Meet & Greet: Getting to Know Your Pet During our initial meeting, I’ll introduce myself to your pet in a calm and friendly manner, taking time to understand their personality, behavior, daily routines, and any special needs. We’ll also discuss your expectations, preferred walking routes, commands, feeding schedules, and any special care instructions. This helps me personalize your pet’s care and ensure we’re all on the same page. Please share the following information before booking: - Eating schedule - Any medications - Any health concerns? - Are they good off leash? Are they good on the leash? - How are they around new dogs / people? - Any areas on their body they do not like to be pet? ✨Will you have phone service when you’re away? 🙌 Please be open and honest about your pet’s behavior and needs. Every dog is different, and the more I know, the better I can determine whether my home and routine are a safe and comfortable fit. 🐶 2. Understanding Your Dog’s Personality: Is Boarding the Right Fit for Your Dog? Dogs have different comfort levels with people outside their families. Understanding your dog’s personality helps us determine whether boarding in my home is the right choice. • Outgoing and social: These dogs enjoy meeting new people and are generally comfortable with different caregivers. Having someone around may help them feel more at ease. • Slow to warm up: These dogs prefer familiar people and may be cautious around strangers. They need time to get to know their sitter before boarding. Treats, walks, playtime, and additional visits can help build trust. • Strongly attached to family: Some dogs feel comfortable only with their own family or have a strong preference for certain family members. Staying with an unfamiliar sitter can be especially stressful. They may refuse food, chew or damage belongings, or snap or bite when overwhelmed. Care from someone they already know and trust or house sitting may be a better option. 🏡 3. Separation Anxiety and Practicing Independence Some dogs become distressed when separated from their owners. Others are comfortable with another caregiver but struggle when left alone. Please let me know how your dog responds in both situations. At home, practice simple routines such as settling on their own bed, waiting for an invitation before getting onto furniture, and staying comfortably in one area while you move around the house. Introduce these routines gradually so your dog has time to become comfortable with them. 🗣️ 4. Barking and Social Behavior Understanding why a dog is barking matters. Barking for attention, reacting to unfamiliar dogs, and barking out of fear or distress require different responses. I encourage calm behavior with clear, consistent boundaries. If a dog becomes overwhelmed during an interaction, I give them space and time to settle before trying again. 🐕 5. Getting Comfortable Before Boarding: Required Pre-Boarding Visit For Boarding Clients A pre-boarding visit is a 1–2 hour trial stay before your dog’s overnight boarding reservation. This visit allows your dog to explore my home, become familiar with me, and experience the environment before a longer stay. It also gives me an opportunity to observe their behavior and assess whether my home is a good fit. Some dogs need extra time to adjust to unfamiliar people and environments. Dogs who are cautious around strangers may benefit from multiple visits to build trust. 🚫 6. Boarding Requirements & Safety Policies For everyone’s comfort and safety, I cannot accept dogs with the following behaviors for Boarding Clients: * Escape attempts or a history of escaping. * Destructive behavior. * Aggressive behavior or biting. * Excessive or persistent whining or barking. * Not being potty-trained (young puppies are absolutely welcome! 🤗 I love, love puppies! 💕). * Counter-surfing or eating things left out. Important safety policy Rover does not cover damage to the sitter’s property or the sitter’s medical expenses. If any of the behaviors listed above become a significant safety or care issue during your dog’s stay, I may need to end the booking early and arrange for your dog to be picked up. 🛏️ 7. Sleeping Arrangements & House Rules Boarding at my home: Dogs are not allowed on my bed. They will sleep on a dog bed or on the floor. House sitting at your home: I’m happy to sleep with your dogs or cats if that’s part of their usual routine. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you peace of mind when you’re away.
