“Madison picked up our last minute request to watch our cats since we got engaged and extended our trip to the other coast at the last minute. She was super sweet, prompt, and followed instructions perfectly. I will definitely hire Madison again if she is available. Thanks Madison!! :)”

“Kaitlyn came to our rescue, when we got stuck in Chicago, and has been so flexible and went out of her way to make sure that our cat got her medicine. — it was almost 11 PM, and she made sure to check in on her. She is definitely our go to.”

“Jaina was attentive and thorough when watching our 3 rambunctious dogs while I had to be out of the house working. They were left in capable and responsible hands which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Highly recommend her to watch you fur babies!”

“Heather has been so fantastic and patient with my senior dog Bean. She’s responsive, provides detailed updates, and accommodates all his special needs. He gets tons of affection and a good walk when she is there, making me feel more comfortable while I’m away at work. Thank you for all you’re doing for my Bean boy!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life so i have lots of experience taking care of them! I also have experience cat sitting for neighbors and family members. I volunteer every year at best friends to take care of a variety of cats and dogs and give them the help they need. i am free as a bird! Taking care of your fur baby will be my number one priority. I am available whenever you will need me so just send me a text and i’ll be there! When caring for pets in my home, safety is the top priority. I ensure that all potentially hazardous materials, such as cleaning supplies and medications, are stored securely out of reach. i will maintain their regular routine so they feel comfortable and secure.
About: I pride myself in attention to detail in all I do. I have been around animals my whole life and care deeply. I understand their importance in our lives and our world. They deserve just as much love as we crave! I am currently in a job application phase with a flexible schedule. I can work with you. I have a car and am comfortable staying at your houses with them, especially if I am allowed to bring a friend to feel more safe. I am only offering care in your home or walks. I will work on my computer there and check on the dog as often as needed while I do so. Or I will work at my home or a library near you and stop in for walks and feedings.
“Lyndi is an amazing sitter who shows her love for animals through action. She takes the time to form bonds with each pup she cares for and that is truly special. I felt good leaving the dogs in her care, knowing she was going to be there rain or shine. 10/10 recommend”

“Did wonderful with my animals!! Communication was great and relieved all the stress I felt with leaving them for my wedding. Sent photo and text updates everyday at each visit and respected my anxious kitties boundaries. Will book again when needed and highly recommend Kelly!!”

“Camille took great care of our cat, and came to meet us and him before we left town to be fully prepared. She left everything clean, which we also appreciated!”

“Sariah is amazing! So kind, patient and sweet :) She was so patient with Arthur who is slow to warm up to new people. She had him on a walk within minutes :) I’ll be reaching out to her again for sure!”

About: Not accepting dog walking for the next few weeks due to weather/fire conditions. I have asthma and the smoky air isn’t good for me to be in for long. I have a few years experience looking after all kinds of dogs; from the elderly, to injured, to dogs needing specific diets or medication. I have also looked after cats and reptiles before! I teach special education kids Tues-Thurs from 9 AM until 12:00 PM during the summer, so during those times I am not available. In the case of dog sitting, just be aware that I won’t be at the home during those times. I will care for and treat your pets as if they were my own; with all of the love and routine that they need. I will follow any and all instructions you need for your pet; including walk schedules, dietary and medicinal needs, and sleep times.

“Took amazing care of our cat!! She sent lots of pictures and was really detailed in telling us how our cat was doing each day. Our cat seemed to love her and was doing great when we got home!”

“Alecia was awesome! She came over to meet Leo before taking care of him & we went for a short walk around the block. Leo is typically wary of new people but he accepted her good energy right away. Super communicative & easy going. Will book with her again!”

“Suni is the best! She dealt with two crazy dogs that decided to escape numerous times while she was watching them. She even cleaned up after they chewed some things up. She's a real trooper and very dependable.”
“I was very happy to have Benedicte care for my cat, Maui. She did a wonderful job and was very consistent, leaving no doubt Maui was in good hands. She is now my go-to for cat sitting and I highly recommend her to everyone!”

About: Tried to be a breeder for the Daniff breed. Mixes of Great Danes and Mastiffs. Ours happens to be the Italian mastiff (Cane Corso). We were expecting 6 puppies and had 10. I also have 3 French bulldogs at the house. So know how to care for big or small. Check with my schedule, work isn’t a set one but will try to adjust to make it work. Can’t have kids, so we naturally have 9 dogs. You can imagine it takes up a lot of our day, pretty much all dogs all the time, and one brave cat. I don’t do care at my home. I’ll do drop-ins or stay at your house. I have too many giant dogs, to bring any over.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Holladay
Kelsie has become our go-to sitter anytime we’re out of town. Our cats absolutely adore her, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about them and their routines. She consistently goes above and beyond - not only making sure the cats are happy and well cared for, but also keeping the house in great shape while we’re away. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine trusting anyone else with our cats at this point!

Rachel is the best! She is so attentive to my cats and making sure they have the right food, their meds, and making sure their space is clean and inviting for them. They love when she checks in on them when I’m out of town, and I can rest easy knowing they are being taken care of by a trusted animal lover. My dog loves her walks with Rachel, and is given the love and exercise she needs!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holladay. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
