“Elena is incredibly thoughtful and thorough. My cat has never been so relaxed upon my return. Elena communicated with questions and the cutest pictures of my happy cat. It means more than words can say to know my cat and home are safe with Elena.”

About: My whole life I've grown up with many dogs and I absolutely adore them!! I love walking them, playing with them, taking them out for car rides, etc. For a little over three years now I've been dogsitting and catsitting for my dad's friends. I've cared for cats previously, but I didn't have my very first cat until very recently, and I adore them as well! I'm more than willing to scoop litter, pick up after they potty, walk pets, and have a designated play time with them (: Now that I'm back in school, I won't be as available to be with dogs during the day time. Monday through thursday, I have classes for about 4 hours at a time. I am still more than able to stay overnight with the doggies, as well as walk them in the afternoon or morning. At night, I usually work for about 5/6 hours, and am flexible enough to check on pets after work as well. Since cats don't require to be let outside, I'll be much more flexible with catsitting than dogsitting, but am still willing to do both! I usually work at my job 3-4 nights a week. In client's homes I make sure to spend a good amount of time with pets because I know they're missing their owners. I give them treats, pet them, cuddle with them, and walk them. Before I leave for anywhere I make sure that they have food, water, and they've used the potty, that way clients can be assured there will be no accidents in the home, and their pet is being properly cared for. Some cats prefer to spend time alone, and if that's the case, of course I have no problem leaving them be. As a pet owner myself, I can tell when sometimes the pets don't want to play and just wanna nap, or when they want to be left alone. Additionally, I make sure to take care of their house and clean up after myself! Beforehand, I'd love to meet with the client that way I can get to know everyone, and build some trust between me, the client, and the pet (:
“We had never used Rover before, but were told by others to schedule a meet & greet. From the moment my husband and I met Leigh, we knew she would do a great job taking care of our cat. We came home to a clean home and to a cat that was obviously well taken care of. We received daily updates through Rover as well as photos. Rover should be proud to have Leigh representing its company.”

“Anna did a fantastic job caring for our two cats while we were on a two-week vacation. She was incredibly responsive, kept us updated with pictures after every visit, ensured both cats were eating well, and spent time playing and hanging out with them daily. It was clear that both cats were relaxed and comfortable with her taking care of them. It was very reassuring to know they were in good hands while we were gone, and we would 100% recommend her to care for your cats and would be happy to book her again.”

“Sylvia is fantastic! Very good with pets and completes wonderful drop-in cards. She also was kind enough to water my garden and that was a huge help. HIGHLY recommend her!”

“Most importantly: when Kate came over to meet my pup, he instantly loved her! Her communication is wonderful and she took excellent care of my sweet boy while I was out of the country. I would definitely recommend and plan to book more with her in the future!”

“Jami is amazing and heaven sent. My sassy pups took to her right away. It’s been a huge relief to know I have been able to count on her while I’m away at work. Thanks Jami!!!”

“Bridgette does a fantastic job! She sends lots of pictures and spends time with my kitties when she visits. It’s obvious my kitties respond really well to her which puts my mind at ease when I’m out of town.”

“I HIGHLY recommend David. He is thorough, thoughtful, and follows instructions well. He is clean and respectful and my puppy loves him. We will be using David every day.”

“I love the extra care Myla provided to my timid and lonely kitties, and to find them so well adjusted on my return. Thank you Myla for your timely care of these two!! You are the best!!”

“Madison picked up our last minute request to watch our cats since we got engaged and extended our trip to the other coast at the last minute. She was super sweet, prompt, and followed instructions perfectly. I will definitely hire Madison again if she is available. Thanks Madison!! :)”

Kaitlyn was such a huge help watching our 2 cats while we were away on vacation. She was very easy to communicate with, responded fast, followed all our instructions, and the boys loved her! She even was able to help us administer some last minute medical ear drops that we didn’t initially anticipate. Thank you Kaitlyn!!

Lauren is so friendly and she was wonderful with our cat Pipkin. She was on time each visit and did a great job following our preferred feeding schedule - which is a bit tricky. She provided daily updates and photos and helped us keep on eye on the temperature in our home during a heat wave. She was accommodating to our every wish when it came to the care of our pet. We would definitely use her again for daily drop-in visits when we are out of town. I’ll also add that she took the job booking kind of last minute which was a great relief. If you want the very best care for your pet - Lauren can deliver!

Sarah really helped me out for a last minute long-term booking when my plans fell through right before an international trip. She was great! Frequent pics of the cats helped me feel little stress that they were taken care of while I was away. She also stayed longer one day when the batteries in my CO sensor died and the alarm was going off to make sure she and I talked and things were ok. Would definitely hire again, thanks Sarah!!

Thank you Jillian for the wonderful sitting week with my babies! Jillian is trustworthy and kind, and constantly aware of how my kitties were feeling and behaving, as one of my cats is more shy and gets separation anxiety when I'm gone. Jillian did a great job in keeping contact, and respecting what my kitties needed and felt like for the day, and was able to find my shy cat's hiding spot and get her to come out!! 5 stars for Jillian, and their super sensitive and gentle care, she listened to all my instruction and followed her intuition too. I can't wait to rebook!

Sean had great, prompt communication and was able to help out with my cat Juneau, fish and kept an eye on plants as I rushed out of town before my father passed. I appreciate knowing my cat could stay in my home while I was away. Sean was attentive to how to best be around my space (asking questions early when clarification was needed). He even gave me some recommendations based on things he used for his cat. Thanks Sean.

Evelynn B. Watched my two kitties while I traveled to Spain. She was truly wonderful and easy to talk with and detailed (she took notes during the meet and greet) and I left printed instructions the best I could. I came back and the cat boxes were clean and the kitties we happy! I know cats can be a tad tricky esp with one of my kitties being feral and the other one older with some digestive issues. Having a wonderful professional pet sitted makes a huge difference! Thank you Evelynn for your loving care! I am very grateful for your time/efforts. Happy to be reunited with my kitties again! 😻😻

Madison was everything I could have hoped for watching my babies! She left me feeling confident in her and sent ample check in photos. When I get home from a trip, usually my cats seem more agitated but after Madison watched them, they were quite calm and content when I get home. I would absolutely trust Madison for future trips! Lucky to have found her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zions Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
