“🐾 🐾 So happy with Elizabeth and her wonderful family! They took amazing care of our dog, Banksy, while we were on vacation. From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. Elizabeth kept us updated throughout our trip with sweet messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Banksy looked so happy and relaxed—we could tell he was treated like one of their own. Their home is warm, welcoming, and clearly pet-friendly. We’re incredibly grateful for their kindness and care, and we’d definitely contact them again in the future. Highly recommended! 🐾🐾”

“Tatiana was great! She helped me out last minute after I had a different sitter cancel on me just hours before my booking. They took great care of my dog and sent me pictures and videos along the way. I'd highly recommend and will use again”

“We had a last-minute emergency trip out of town and Mandi stepped in without hesitation. She was quick to confirm our booking, incredibly communicative, and made the whole process seamless during a stressful time. Throughout Ranger’s stay, she sent regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear he was well cared for and comfortable. One of the highlights for Ranger was getting to play with her dog, Hank—such a treat for him since he’s usually an only pup! We would absolutely book with Mandi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and kind sitter.”

“Kristine was absolutely amazing with Jack! He loved her big backyard and playing with the smaller dogs. She was so great with him and we’re SO grateful!! We will definitely be using her again!!!”

“What a blessing it was to find Dominique to take care of Mochi and Zorro. From the first moment you meet Dominique you know your “fur babies” will be safe, happy, and well cared for in Dominique’s home. M&Z had a great week interacting with Dominique na d the other dogs who visited her during the day. Her setup is perfect for dogs and is a wonderful set-up to ensure your dogs have a positive stay. Dominique is very knowledgeable and clearly instinctual about “all thing ladies”. During their stay Dominique even helped Zorro with some medication for Josh”itchy ear”. We recommend her highly has a 5 star Rover crew giver. All the best RDj”

“Kellie did an amazing job caring for my dog, Rue! I really appreciated receiving photos while I was away. It was wonderful to see Rue had such a fun time playing in the backyard and getting along so well with their dog, Noodle. I will definitely be trusting Kellie with dog sitting again in the future!”

“Great overnight boarding, first time for my little girl and it was great! Great conversation, updates, and access. Made the first time a success and I aleady have my second overnight booked !”

“Tami and family were awesome for our Scout. Tami sent photos each day and kept us closely informed with how things were going. Scout came back super happy and relaxed after her four night stay at the cozy family home. Thanks again and would definitely recommend!”

“Katie took care of our golden doodle Lucy with love and care. This was her first time boarded outside our home but their dogs played with Lucy well. Lucy was so happy after loosing her buddy Benz our chocolate lab 8 months ago. She sent us photos of our Lucy and gave us update so we can relax at our vacation out of state. Will definitely recommend her .”

“Evette was so good to our dog, and lives in a doggy dreamland with so many friendly neighbors. This was our first time leaving our dog and we would absolutely leave her with Evette again in the future. She was also super flexible with our short notice travel plans, which was a huge relief.”

“Tim does a great job caring for my pup Milo. He is always attentive to my messages and sends photos throughout the stay. My pup loves seeing Tim each time we visit and I know he is always in good hands!”
“Cassandra did a great job watching our dog Boone while we were out of town. She exercised him daily and was easy to communicate with. She was very patient and flexible with Boone when he was difficult with untypical behavior being away from home.”

“Logan was a great sitter for our boy! He had a comfortable space for the dogs to sleep in their own crates and they had lots of play time. Regular updates daily. Overall a great experience. Thanks Logan!”

“I cannot express enough what a dream Megan is for pet care! I have two pugs and always gravitate toward other pug owners when I see them out and about! I was lucky enough to meet her and her darling pugs in the park and later learned she was a pet sitter! This was the first time since moving to Salt Lake City 2 1/2 years ago that I found someone amazing to trust with Donut and Gumbo!! I was able to go on vacation and relax and not worry. The dogs got a vacation as well with her! She took them to different parks everyday and sent fun pics...she even trimmed their nails (they never let me do a mani!)! Donut and Gumbo may have wanted to stay longer! She is the BEST!!!”

“Having Holly’s care for our dog was exactly the peace of mind we hoped would allow us to enjoy our week away! Thank you for the excellent care, wonderful communication and great images letting us see her adventures and relaxation with you each day.”

“Wendy is the perfect sitter! Great communication, pictures every day, really keeps you informed on how your doggo is doing. Makes it a little easier to be apart. Will definitely use Wendy while I am in Salt Lake.”

“LOVED Tara. Can’t say enough good things about her. She was so flexible and took such good care of our dogs. We will definitely be using her again. We are big Tara fans <3”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Zions Park
Tatiana and her husband are warm, caring, and really love dogs! We have a 3-year old golden, Peach, who gets nervous with change and needs calm indoors and daily exercise outside. Tatiana took care of Peach for over 2-weeks, while we were out of the county. We did a meet and greet, and per her suggestion, another meeting just before the drop off (smart, and really helped). She sent daily photos, some videos, and wrote us notes on how things were going. This is our first time using Tatiana (and her husband) for dog care and we have found our perfect sitters for the future! Peach loved Tatiana's dog Lea, which was a bonus and seemed to make her "away camp" experience fun! Peach came back to us calm, and her behavior was entirely normal, which was not the case on other occasions with pet care (even with house sitters in our own home). While they live in an apartment, it is literally right next door to an open area where the dogs can play and they also took Peach on outings with Leah! We absolutely adore Tatiana and her husband, great people! They have our highest recommendation!

Maritza was wonderful with our dog! She agreed to meet us beforehand since I was a little nervous, as this was our first time using Rover. My dog warmed up to her right away, and when I dropped him off a week later, he ran to her front door. She sent photos and updates every day to let us know how he was doing. It was so nice to know he was being well loved while we were away. I've already booked Maritza for the next time we travel!

Working with Beverly this past week has been one of the best experiences we've had on Rover. She is 100% competent and I didn't worry for a second about our dog, Nora, while we were gone. They were up in the mountains every day and I think Nora was in heaven. She probably didn't want to come home at the end. :) We will certainly be calling Beverly again!

Parker did a great job taking care of our Lany girl! She came home worn out! She seemed to enjoy being there. He sent a few pictures and videos to let us know she was doing well. Parker was very responsive and got back to us quickly. We had a different sitter cancel on us a couple weeks before we were needing them due to a family emergency and Parker was able to get us in. He did a fantastic job taking care of her! Thanks Parker!

I was skeptical about using rover but thank goodness I found Rebecca and Ian! They truly care about dogs. Their house is completely dog proof and they have a great background for the doggies to run and play. They went above and beyond to make sure Willow was comfortable. This was Willows first night away from us and they were so patient and caring. I will definitely use them for future boarding or day care! Thank you!!

Nicole and Joey were great with Noodle. They were great with photos and videos to communicate how things were going. They offered a meet and greet before to help determine if Noodle was a good fit and help us feel comfortable with the house and pets. Joey and Nicole are very nice and easy going and know how to handle and care for dogs! I highly recommend them!

Lauren took care of our good boy over our wedding weekend and it was great! Our dog can be pretty anxious with new situations, but he warmed up quick to Lauren and had a lot of fun. She sent us pictures of him cuddling and videos of him playing, so we know he was having a great time! Definitely would book again.

Erika was fantastic! She watched our dog for several days and nights. She was very intentional about how she spent each day with our dog- long walks, play time, snuggles, and even training sessions! We received plenty of photo and video updates and we could tell her was a happy boy. Erika is communicative, professional, and really cares about dogs. We are excited to book with Erika again!

Kate has always been reliable, consistent, flexible, and open to feedback on how to best care for my dog! My dog runs up to her door with excitement every time and Kate always greets us with a ton of joy and gives the cutest updates throughout the day. She’s the best!

Alexandra was amazing with our pup! This was our first time using a pet sitter & we were very anxious about leaving him, but Alexandra sent us pictures & an update every morning & evening & it helped us to be able to enjoy our trip knowing that he was in good hands. We hope to be able to use her again in the future. Thank you!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Zions Park home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Zions Park.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Zions Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
