“This was our first time using an in home dog sitter and Lauren knocked it out of the park. We have a very hyper basset and a very old coonhound so it’s a lot to handle and she did so amazing. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Emily is fantastic. She made sure all of Kodas needs were met while watching her, including taking her for hikes and trips to the dog park! It’s always reassuring knowing Koda is having fun and getting exercise when I have to travel for work. Emily was easy to communicate with and left the house very tidy. I’ll definitely be utilizing Emily’s services again.”

“Gaby is a gem! She did SO well with our sweet senior pup, going above and beyond to give her lots of snuggles and attention, sending us frequent updates and cute photos, and taking great care of our house too. She cares deeply about animals and we are grateful she cares for ours too! She came for meet and greets, asked great questions, and noted down all the important details about our dog including medications etc.. We would strongly recommend her to anyone and can’t wait to have her back over to care for our dog again!”

“She did an absolutely fantastic job and we’ll definitely be rebooking. She was great with communication both before and during her stay and she took really stunning photos. I think we’ll have to get a few framed!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Diana. I was so nervous even though I was only leaving my dog for 2.5 days. But Diana sent lots of updates and really put me at ease. I highly recommend her!”

“Cindy came a met Storm before her first sitting, was curious and asked lots of questions. Cindy took lots of photos for us which we loved. She followed our instructions and asked questions as needed. Storm was well adjusted when we came home and happy.”

“Xochitl was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful and our boys love her. I would whole heartedly recommend her and I will definitely be asking her back as well.”

“This was our first time using Rover, but Kirsten made us feel great about the whole thing! She was communicative throughout our trip and made sure our two pets were happy & healthy!”

“Mckenzie took great care Housesitting for our energetic retriever. She did a nice job of communicating with us which made being away easy. Definitely will be asking her to sit again.”

“Michelle was the best sitter we could've asked for! We went on vacation to Europe for 2.5 weeks and she stayed in our home to look after our cat and dog. She took amazing care of both our pets and our home. We have a high maintenance (aka neurotic!) border collie and she handled all her quirks perfectly. We left quite detailed instructions and Michelle followed them to a tee. She was a really great communicator and kept us updated with info and pics every day (even taking into consideration the time difference!). We came home to two happy little pets and a spotless house. Can't recommend her enough!!!”

About: My whole life I've grown up with many dogs and I absolutely adore them!! I love walking them, playing with them, taking them out for car rides, etc. For a little over three years now I've been dogsitting and catsitting for my dad's friends. I've cared for cats previously, but I didn't have my very first cat until very recently, and I adore them as well! I'm more than willing to scoop litter, pick up after they potty, walk pets, and have a designated play time with them (: During the summer I work part time in the evenings and am not very busy outside of that, so I'm more than able to be with the pet during the day. At night, I usually work for about 5/6 hours, and am flexible enough to check on pets at night after work as well. In the fall when school starts, I will not be so available for check ins, but am able to spend nights with pets, and am flexible enough to do some dogwalking if necessary. When that time approaches, I will update my availability! Since cats don't usually require to be let outside, I'll be much more flexible with catsitting than dogsitting, but am still willing to do both! I usually work at my job 3-4 nights a week. In client's homes I make sure to spend a good amount of time with pets because I know they're missing their owners. I give them treats, pet them, cuddle with them, and walk them. Before I leave for anywhere I make sure that they have food, water, and they've used the potty, that way clients can be assured there will be no accidents in the home, and their pet is being properly cared for. Some cats prefer to spend time alone, and if that's the case, of course I have no problem leaving them be. As a pet owner myself, I can tell when sometimes the pets don't want to play and just wanna nap, or when they want to be left alone. Additionally, I make sure to take care of their house and clean up after myself! Beforehand, I'd love to meet with the client that way I can get to know everyone, and build some trust between me, the client, and the pet (:
“Zoe was amazing! Our German Shepherd is typically an anxious dog around new people but Zoe made him feel comfortable almost immediately. We felt very secure knowing that he was being well taken care of. Plus we got lots of pics and updates throughout our time away. We will definitely be having Zoe over again to watch Obi!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs since I was 9 years old and have always loved caring for animals. I have experience house sitting for owners with dogs, as well as providing care such as midday walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I’m active, dependable, and passionate about making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I enjoy spending time outdoors and giving dogs the exercise, attention, and affection they need. Caring for pets fits easily into my schedule because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and staying active. I’m happy to make time for walks, playtime, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I know pets are family, and I take that responsibility seriously. I want to provide a safe and caring environment while giving every dog the attention, exercise, and patience they need.
“Emily went over and beyond our expectations with our Remington. Updates and pictures throughout the weekend. Remington bonded with Emily very quickly and even slept with Emily! Would use her again for sure. Emily sent us a bonus surprise. A computation of all the pictures she took of our baby. Brought tears to me eyes as my girl is greying and I now have a beautiful video of her. Thank you Emily!!”

My dog Ellie was not only safe, but she was happy, exercised, and emotionally fulfilled upon my arrival. Diana went above and beyond as she cared for my home and our baby. She sent regular updates which I was absolutely obsessed with. It is not easy leaving behind my home and fur baby, but I felt completely at ease during Diana’s entire stay in my home.

Naomi took excellent care of both our dog—a senior pup who needs daily medications—and our house. She kept Atticus happy and safe, and she kept us updated on how he was doing. Naomi was a pleasure to work with throughout the booking and sitting process, and she's top of our list next time we need help with Atticus.

Micheline did a wonderful job with our dog. She kept in touch, sent photos and took such good care of our Abby! Abby gets very nervous when we leave on a trip and sometimes has tummy issues as a result. But Micheline took such good care of her and by the time we got home she was just fine. Thank you so much! Highly recommend Micheline!

Kamryn took care of our babies without much guidance. We left her a few sticky notes with instructions and she handled the rest! Made our vacation stress-free. Our dog can be testy with strangers, but Kamryn did not need a meet and greet to be instant friends with Nakita. Thank you!

Emily is the BEST!! Our three dogs absolutely love her! She is very attentive, caring, and our pups always have the best time. I would recommend Emily for any dog care services. We have used her multiple times and every experience has been extremely positive.

Gaby is a gem! We would strongly recommend her to anyone and can’t wait to have her back over to care for our dog again!

Hans is a fantastic sitter. He is highly responsive, flexible, and very attentive. He sent photos and an update on our Tonka, who struggles with separation anxiety. Hans treated him with the utmost care, played with him, fed him, waited for his dinner to settle, and took him on a nice long walk. I am impressed by his attention to detail, knowledge of best practices with dogs, communication, and we’re so glad to have found him. Thanks, Hans!

Christian did a wonderful job taking care of our dog Ollie. He sent pictures daily which was so nice to receive. Ollie is an active dog and he kept him entertained with walks and playing in the backyard. He gave us an update on being cautious about walking him in the middle of the day due to the heat. We came home to a happy dog and a clean home. We will book with him again.
As always, Landon did an exceptional job caring for both our home and our dog. We returned to a spotless house, and most importantly, a safe and happy pup. His communication is outstanding—he kept us updated throughout our time away, giving us complete peace of mind. We never have to worry about anything while we’re gone. We’ll continue booking with Landon again and again, and I can’t say enough about his professionalism and the genuine care he shows for our pet.

This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit concerned with what to expect and how it would go, but Bonnie eased all our concerns and made the whole process very easy ! She sat for two of our dogs and one of our cats over the weekend. One of our dogs has high anxiety and can sometimes be leery meeting new people, but he loved Bonnie from the first meet and greet. She handled him perfectly and I think he may have found a new bestie! She sent pictures and updates regularly. We have already booked another weekend with her later this summer. Thanks for your professionalism and care, Bonnie! You made our experience so wonderful!

Emma was a wonderful house and pet sitter for us for an 8 day trip out of the country. She had just the right spirit to care for our 2 energetic and sometimes demanding border collie/ Aussie mixes. The 7 month old can be a real handful. She sent us pictures of 2 happy dogs every day and the house was well cared for. We heartily recommend Emma for house and pet sitting. Oh - she also managed our small flock of chickens. 🤠
Wally had another great stay with Madison! I came home to a tired dog and clean house, which is always a great feeling after a long vacation. She sent daily updates and pictures, and took him for daily trail hikes or runs. Highly recommend, especially if you have a dog that needs quality exercise!

FAQs for House Sitting - Zions Park
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Zions Park on Rover is $41.73 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,892 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Zions Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zions Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zions Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zions Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
