Caroline was amazing with my 3 dogs! I have a beagle, husky, and a pit/husky mix and I’m always a little nervous with leaving them with someone but Caroline went above and beyond to manage their craziness and give them love!! My dogs loved her and Caroline’s dog Lady! I really appreciate receiving frequent updates about them when I’m away and she was great with sending me pictures regularly and keeping me in the loop. She even took them out to the parks a bunch of times. They looked like they were having a blast! And knowing that means so much while you’re away from your pet! She also treated my house very well while we were away and kept it nice and clean. Definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a house sitter or pet sitter!

It’s always reassuring knowing Koda is having fun and getting exercise when I have to travel for work. Emily was easy to communicate with and left the house very tidy. I’ll definitely be utilizing Emily’s services again.

Betty was amazing. She stayed at my home 9 days with my two dogs. One of my dogs is very old and has accidents. Betty was very good with her and made sure she went out regularly, so she didn't have those accidents. She kept in touch sending me updates daily. Which I really appreciated. I will use Betty whenever I go out of town and I highly recommend her.

She cares deeply about animals and we are grateful she cares for ours too! About: Hi! I'm Sofia, and I'd love to become your dog's new favorite sitter! As a lifelong animal lover, I know that pets are family. When you're away, my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. I'm currently returning to school to earn my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of quality time and attention to the pets in my care. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy because it combines my love of animals with spending time outdoors and helping fellow pet owners. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, as well as small animals like guinea pigs. I take the time to learn each pet's routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and right at home. One of my favorite things to do is explore Utah's beautiful trails. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'd love to take them on dog-friendly hikes or nature walks with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and hikes and loves making new friends. If your dog prefers one-on-one outings or does better without another dog, I'm always happy to accommodate that. Every walk is tailored to your dog's personality, energy level, and your preferences, with safety always coming first. When your pet is with me, you can expect: 🐾 Plenty of love, attention, and playtime 📸 Frequent photo and video updates 🚶 Walks, hikes, and activities tailored to your dog's needs 💊 Medication administration if needed 🍽️ Careful attention to feeding schedules and special instructions ❤️ Patient, positive, and compassionate care My professional background in healthcare administration and education has taught me to be dependable, organized, and an excellent communicator. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your dog loves adventures, belly rubs, or simply having a companion while you're away, I'll treat them like one of my own. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I look forward to getting to know you both. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I'm currently returning to school for my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my days around the pets I'm caring for. My own Shih Tzu, Lucy, gets daily walks, playtime, and lots of attention, so caring for dogs is already built into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that's neighborhood walks, hikes, or trips to dog-friendly parks. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'm happy to include them (with your permission). I also make time throughout the day for feeding, enrichment, potty breaks, cuddles, and, of course, plenty of photo updates for owners. I believe pets thrive when they have consistency, attention, and exercise, so I make it a priority to provide all three while they're in my care. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible by keeping them on their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any special needs or preferences. I make sure every pet gets plenty of love, attention, playtime, and mental enrichment throughout the day. If your dog enjoys being active, I'm happy to provide neighborhood walks, nature walks, or dog-friendly hikes with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and loves making new friends, but I'm equally happy to provide one-on-one outings if that's a better fit for your dog. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. I'll keep your home clean, provide regular updates with photos and videos, and make sure your pet feels safe and loved until you return. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is receiving the same level of care, affection, and attention they would receive from family.

About: I just finished my freshman year of college. I love all animals and grew up around dogs. I have plenty of experience sitting and walking small and big dogs. I’m currently a student at the University of Utah but I have plenty of availability to stop by during the day and check on the pets. I only care for pets in the owners home. But I’ll do whatever is needed and I make sure the pet is well loved and happy.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs, from small chihuahuas to large Great Danes! I love hanging out with dogs and keeping them active! I am a teacher that will have the summer off, so I’m super flexible! I can meet the needs of most clients fairly easily! I have a fenced in yard and one senior dog at my house (17 year old rat terrier!) I typically walk dogs twice a day and do a trip to the park once a day.

About: I had a yellow lab growing up and took main care of him from age 10-16. My roomate also has a rescue that I have been helping to train and take on walks and feed! Love cats and have cat sat for my friends multiple times! I work a communications job that has random and flexible hours that allow me to be home earlier in the afternoon and gives me time to play with pets and take them on nice long walks or hikes if needed! I care for pets by making sure they get enough food and water as well as play with them and give them love so they get the stimulation needed when their families are gone. I also work out 5-6 times a week so will love going on walks or runs with pets!

Casey was truly an outstanding dog sitter!! She stayed at my house and watched my sweet old girl. Casey sent me daily pictures of Remie and her adorable dog, Moose sun bathing outside or taking naps. She was so sweet to even wash the bed sheets for me as I was returning home pretty late in the evening. Remie looked like she had a really fun time with Casey & Moose. Would HIGHLY recommend & book again with Casey. Thank you so much!!

This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit concerned with what to expect and how it would go, but Bonnie eased all our concerns and made the whole process very easy ! She sat for two of our dogs and one of our cats over the weekend. One of our dogs has high anxiety and can sometimes be leery meeting new people, but he loved Bonnie from the first meet and greet. She handled him perfectly and I think he may have found a new bestie! She sent pictures and updates regularly. We have already booked another weekend with her later this summer. FAQs for House Sitting - Millcreek

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Millcreek on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,878 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Millcreek. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Millcreek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Millcreek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Millcreek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Millcreek. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
