“This was my first time using a service for dog sitting. I have a somewhat nervous Nelly of a dog when it comes to strangers. We booked Abigail for 5 nights in our home. Our dog is happy and healthy. I could not have asked for more.”

“Aria was an awesome house and pet sitter for us! She was super responsive, prompt, and took such great care of everything while we were away. She gave us peace of mind! Thank you so much, hope to see you again soon!”

“Stephanie did a fantastic job dogsitting at our home. She was able to take over from another dogsitter at very short notice, for which we were extremely grateful, being out of the country at the time. Stephanie was very communicative and responsive, which helped in a challenging situation of communicating across time zones. She took excellent care of our dogs and home and sent regular updates, ensuring me everything was in good hands. Overal a fantastic experience, thank you Stephanie.”

“Olivia was a great pet sitter! We knew Ghost was in good hands and we were able to relax throughout our vacation knowing he was well taken care of. Would definitely book again and recommend her!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! So grateful to have her watch Aspen and Ivy. They got to enjoy the park and many walks and snuggles. She sent pictures of their adventures and was a great communicator. Highly recommend!”

“We absolutely love Alyssa. She took care of our spoiled pup and did an amazing job. Our house spotless our pup was happy and we will definitely be booking with her again. ?”

About: I have taken care of plenty of animals from a very young age. I’ve trained before and enjoyed seeing the progress that comes with. I am great with any age of dog and understand the difference in temperament! I am currently working a job as a barista and am a student at SLCC. My job is fairly flexible and doesn’t demand my full days. I do schooling online so it is easy for me to do homework anywhere. I am happy to take your dog on walks, play with them in the backyard, do trainings etc. Whatever your pet may need! I am familiar with crate training and am comfortable with it. I like to watch dogs in your home, because it gives them a sense of safety and comfort.
“Kirk took great care of our dogs and house while we were out of town. They seemed content upon our return and everything was in order. He communicated well and sent some pics during our trip. Would absolutely hire again!”
“Annie is the best! She communicates with us constantly and always sends us photos. Our girls seem to enjoy their time with her more than with us. Always top of our list when we need a sitter!”

“Overall Madison did well and my dogs loved her. She was responsive and left my house super clean. We did have some hurdles but I appreciate Madison being communicative so we could troubleshoot as best we can. To be fair I do have three dogs, including one very young timid one, one that is chill but sometimes escapes, and one that is chill but currently has an ear infection and needed medication administered daily.”

“Brad has watched my pups a few different times and he’s great. He’s incredibly detailed and took great care of my pups and home. If you’re looking for an excellent dog sitter, look no further.”

“Macy stayed with my fur babies and took the absolute best care of them!! My little place was cleaned and the kitties were so well loved and taken care of!! I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to stay with my little puff balls while I was away!! :)”

“Mckenzie was an awesome sitter! Even with short notice, she was able to come meet my animals and see my place before staying the weekend with them. She immediately made me feel comfortable leaving my animals and house in her care and that comfort continued throughout the 4 nights she was with them. I would definitely recommend Mckenzie to anybody looking for a sitter in the Ogden area!”

About: I’ve had a dog and cat my whole life (amongst other pets) so have always had a deep care and appreciation for them. Now that I’m older, I am the go to dog/house sitter for all of my siblings’ pets and I also did a lot of dog/house sitting in New Zealand. I lived there for three years and did pet/house sitting on and off as a way to fill up my love for animals and explore the beautiful country with a dog by my side! I am very responsible, caring and want to make sure I take care of these animals that give us sooo much just from their company alone. I am used to pet sitting multiple pets and am comfortable with any age or size. Please feel free to reach out if I sound like a good fit! Looking forward to meeting your fur family :) I’m currently studying remotely so have plenty of time to care for the pets and be flexible with how I plan out my days! At the moment, I am only able to care for pets in client’s homes so if that suits you I am more than happy to take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home! I am very respectful, clean and use the space thoughtfully.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Olympus
Ciarra was fantastic with my two very needy pups! (plus this helicopter dog mom) The dogs were super happy and well cared for with walks and snuggles. The house was clean and she even helped with outside clean up after a storm. I would 100% reccommend her and will absolutely be calling her again.
Catherine was an excellent cat/house sitter during our 2 week vacation this summer! She kept in touch with updates on our kitties and gave me great peace of mind while we were away that everything was safe and sound at home. We hope she will stay again next time we go away.
Sydney was easy to communicate with and took great care of Koda while I was out of town. Left the house tidy and even came back to check in on her and play some fetch on the last day since I didn’t return until the evening. Would recommend and use Sydney again!

Wally had another great stay with Madison! I came home to a tired dog and clean house, which is always a great feeling after a long vacation. She sent daily updates and pictures, and took him for daily trail hikes or runs. Highly recommend, especially if you have a dog that needs quality exercise!

Abaigeal watched our puppy, senior dog, and cat for five days over a weekend holiday. She took our puppy on many walks and hikes, and sent really good photos of these excursions. Our puppy has trouble trusting new people, but she seemed to warm up to Abaigeal quickly for her! Our home was left in a great state and she made it easy for us to come home from traveling and relax.

Alexis was wonderful to work with! One of our dogs was a little hesitant around a stranger at first, but our other dog climbed right into her arms. 😂 She was quick to respond to messages, and genuinely seems like a very kind and caring person. We’d definitely recommend her!

Zoe is literally the best sitter we’ve had. We have an old dog with a lot of medical needs and she took SUCH good care of him. I almost don’t want to leave an honest review of how great she is because I don’t want her to get so booked up she doesn’t have time for us lol but she is truly amazing. I’m a cliche millennial dog mom with no kids who’s obsessed with her dog and Zoe is the only sitter I’ve met here who I trust will take care of my dog as much as I would.

We love Anna & Stephen so much! So glad we found them! They are so good to our animals. Most importantly all our animals love them too! They are very communicative everyday. When Anna & Stephen stay with our pups, we know they are safe and happy and in good hands.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Olympus walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Olympus maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Olympus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
