“Kaitlyn watched Coco and Charlie and I’m honestly someone who doesn’t trust people easily, especially when it comes to my dogs. Both of them need meds and have their own quirks, so it’s not simple. She handled everything so well. I didn’t have to worry or check in constantly, which says a lot for me. They were calm, cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. You can tell she actually pays attention and cares, not just going through the motions. I’d have her watch them again without hesitation!”

“Makenzie is amazing! I booked her on short notice, and she went out of her way to make sure we met and felt comfortable. We have three dogs—two Boston Terriers and a French Bulldog puppy—and she handled everything beautifully. I really appreciate her being upfront, and her rates are very reasonable. She followed the walking, medication, and feeding schedule perfectly. Makenzie is kind, responsible, and clearly loves animals. When we came home, the house was clean, she had even washed her own sheets, and most importantly—the dogs were well taken care of. I will definitely reach out to her again!”

About: Hi, I’m Natasha! I’m new to this app, but have lots of experience walking dogs, daily check-ins, and house sitting. I have 2 Pomeranians, Hazel & Jasmine and a cat, Maple, who live with my mom currently and I visit frequently. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to check in with, feed, play, and stay over night with their pets. I have experience with watching puppies, 3+ dogs together, as well as cats and dogs living in the same home. I work in a pediatric dental office 3 days a week, and work at my local yoga studio so I can spend time with your fur babies on my days off. I’m available for walks or check-ins on Wednesdays, and Fridays, and house sitting on the weekends from Thursday night to Sunday. My availability currently is: •Wednesday mornings before 11am. Afternoons between 12:30-6pm. •Thursday evenings after 6pm. •Friday mornings before 1:30pm. Late afternoon/evenings after 3:30pm. •Saturdays and Sundays any time! I’m happy to work with pets of all shapes, sizes and demeanors. I appreciate any information about your pet’s special needs and behaviors ahead of time. I will make sure your pet’s schedule is followed closely while you’re away. My priority is that they feel safe and at ease with me.

“Cameron is truly the best! She took care of my baby Draco for over a week. My cat is usually shy and afraid of new people but he loved Cameron instantly!! She was very caring, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for my boy especially since he requires special care and attention. Its the first time I’m leaving Draco for a long trip and Cameron always updated me and sent me photos of how Draco is doing so I felt super relieved being out of the country and having Cameron look after Draco. Cameron is the best!! Shes so polite, very communicative and even cleaned after the apartment even though she didn’t have to! She is the best, I am lucky to have found her!! Will definitely recommend her for your fur babies <3”

About: I worked with doggies day care for about 2 years in college. Staying at clients houses watching their pets. It was awesome I learned great training skills and was able to walk tons of dogs! I was also a preschool teacher at this time as well and cpr certified. I’m an early riser I’m up around 6:30-7:00 and I take my border collie on her 2 mile walk. Every morning. I’m a master esthetician starting a business right now so any free time I’m at the spa with my own clients. I like late nights as well, but I’m very active so if you need a dog walker or someone to wear your high energy pup out I’m your girl! At my house I have a full fenced yard. However there is 4 large dogs here. A full house no doubt. I’d love to do at home visits or boarding at clients house not my own.

About: I grew up with dogs (and cats!) but have been officially dogsitting for eight years. My specialities include: booty scratchies, ear rubs, kissies, and taking long walks. It’s important to start the day with walks (time outside for stimulation) and breakfast! I work in an office during the day, and the evenings are meant for additional walks as needed, dinner, and snuggle/down time. My favorite personal activity is reading, so the snuggles and book time tend to go hand in hand. I offer lots of love through gentle petting and snuggles. I also talk to the fur babies, however, am very aware of tone, as pets often don’t know what you’re saying, but they understand more how you’re saying it.

About: I’ve taken care of my own and others pet companions for years, I know just how much care and attention matters, big and small alike! Animals are very important to me, I’ve volunteered at the humane society helping take care of basic needs such as food and water, grooming, social connection, and cleanly living! I’m excited to connect with your loved companions. Currently I am in school at Salt Lake Community College, this being said Monday mornings and Wednesday morning I am not available. Other than that a schedule and plan can be discussed. Every pet is different! Having clear instruction on how to care for your pet specifically is always helpful. What they like, don’t like and everything in between!

About: Hello! My name is Kenzie. I'm 29 years old. My friends have asked me to take care of their animals when they aren't home because they know I am reliable, clean, respectful, and I love all animals! I have also been on Rover in the past caring for both dogs and cats. I am pretty open with my hours and working around your schedule. I can walk, feed, groom, give lots of love, and whatever else is needed for your animals! I'm also open for the holidays if you plan on traveling! I’m working part time and looking for something with more flexibility that I genuinely enjoy doing! I have always loved animals and am flexible to meet your schedule as well! I am good at following any instructions that are provided and know that communication is important. I like to have a descriptive outline of any care that is needed and be familiar with the environment. Keeping the animals in a similar routine and providing them with comfort is essential.

About: Dogs have always been a part of me growing up. I've always had at least two dogs from small dogs to big dogs. Now, I just have Klaus, my 8yo Schnauzer. He enjoys company from small ones to doberman sized dogs. I do have work Mondays to Fridays but am able to go home at lunch if needed. I also get every other Fridays off. I always walk Klaus regardless of the weather and will treat your dogs like they are mine - always with love and special care. I can also administer medicine if needed. When my pets get sick, I care for them and give them more than the vet's recommendation. Your pet will be safe and will have a great time with my household.

Jay is THE best. He took such great care of our three cats while we were traveling for two weeks. He even got our shy cat to warm up to him (so rare!). Jay was stellar at communicating with us and helping care for our medically complex cat. He administered medicine each day, fed all three cats, maintained their litter box & water fountains, played with them, and also helped manage things that came up around the house (bringing in packages, garbage cans, etc). I highly recommend having Jay help with your pets! We’ll be booking him again soon.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! He took care of our 4-month-old puppy for two weeks, and anyone who has had a puppy that age knows they can be A LOT of work! 😅 He was incredibly attentive, patient, and caring with her, and went above and beyond just watching her. He actually helped reinforce training and worked with her on good behaviors, which we really appreciated. It was so reassuring knowing she was in such capable hands while we were away. He kept us updated, took great care of her, and clearly put a lot of time and effort into making sure she was happy, safe, and well cared for. We came home to a happy puppy who had clearly been loved and well looked after. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely great with dogs. FAQs for House Sitting - Kellgreen Acres

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kellgreen Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kellgreen Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kellgreen Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
