Kaitlyn watched Coco and Charlie and I’m honestly someone who doesn’t trust people easily, especially when it comes to my dogs. Both of them need meds and have their own quirks, so it’s not simple. She handled everything so well. I didn’t have to worry or check in constantly, which says a lot for me. They were calm, cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. You can tell she actually pays attention and cares, not just going through the motions. I’d have her watch them again without hesitation!

Megan was a fabulous pet sitter! She house sat and watched our cats for an extended period, and we were so grateful to have her. She was communicative and gave regular updates on our cats. We could tell from the pictures that they were happy and that they liked her, which made us feel relieved knowing our pets were in good hands. We came home to a clean house and two happy and healthy cats. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!

Our cat Leo loved Shannon! We felt so fortunate that she was willing to hang out with him during the days while we were gone on vacation. We loved the photos we got each day and came home to a happy cat, our Christmas packages safely brought inside, and she even kept my basil plant alive! We will definitely work with her again. Happily recommend to anyone with a fur baby.

About: I worked with doggies day care for about 2 years in college. Staying at clients houses watching their pets. It was awesome I learned great training skills and was able to walk tons of dogs! I was also a preschool teacher at this time as well and cpr certified. I’m an early riser I’m up around 6:30-7:00 and I take my border collie on her 2 mile walk. Every morning. I’m a master esthetician starting a business right now so any free time I’m at the spa with my own clients. I like late nights as well, but I’m very active so if you need a dog walker or someone to wear your high energy pup out I’m your girl! At my house I have a full fenced yard. However there is 4 large dogs here. A full house no doubt. I’d love to do at home visits or boarding at clients house not my own.

About: I’ve loved dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have had pets for most of my life. I have experience caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as pets belonging to family members. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I will always care for them with patience, kindness, and attention. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility to care for pets. I’m available for house sitting on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I’m also available during the daytime on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. My availability varies on weekends, but I always keep my Rover calendar updated so you can see when I’m available. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and loving care. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions and routine. I make sure pets have fresh water, meals on time, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep doors and gates secure, maintain a clean and safe environment, and send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

Ashlie is the absolute best! Our dog Brewer is normally hesitant meeting new people but he warmed up to Ashlie almost immediately thanks to her positive energy (and lots of treats!). She’s extremely trustworthy and attentive and took excellent care of Brewer while we were away on vacation. She truly went above and beyond by bringing him for long walks, playing with him in the yard, and left the house spotless! Her daily check ins and photos of all the fun they were having put us at ease that he was in good hands. If you’re in need of a top-notch sitter or walker look no further, Ashlie is sure to be your pet’s best friend!

About: I have taken care of plenty of animals from a very young age. I’ve trained before and enjoyed seeing the progress that comes with. I am great with any age of dog and understand the difference in temperament! I am currently working a job as a barista and am a student at SLCC. My job is fairly flexible and doesn’t demand my full days. I do schooling online so it is easy for me to do homework anywhere. I am happy to take your dog on walks, play with them in the backyard, do trainings etc. Whatever your pet may need! I am familiar with crate training and am comfortable with it. I like to watch dogs in your home, because it gives them a sense of safety and comfort.

Dylan is fantastic! Daisy normally takes several days to warm up to a new sitter — she'll hide out in our room and barely eat or drink during that adjustment period. That wasn't the case at all with Dylan. She was completely at home with him from day one, and it was so nice getting pictures of her being her normal, happy self so early on. While we were away, Daisy wasn't stressed, and there wasn't a single accident in the house. Since we've been back, she's been totally herself — no clinginess, no signs of anxiety, nothing to work through. On top of all that, the house looked great when we got home, and Dylan was communicative and easy to work with the whole time. We'd recommend him without hesitation and will definitely be booking him again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Little Cottonwood Creek Valley on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,752 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Little Cottonwood Creek Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Little Cottonwood Creek Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Little Cottonwood Creek Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Little Cottonwood Creek Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Little Cottonwood Creek Valley. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
