About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old and trained my dog by myself. My dog, Coco is at home in Salt Lake City, and is still alive (13 years old!) and happy and healthy. I will spoil your pets and love them like you love them I’m a student, and I love pets and walking, so I can do walks once or multiple times per day! I would be more than happy to do so I will follow the instructions you give me for the care of your pets in your own home whilst being respectful and responsible of the house and your little family member :) Your pet will receive much love from me!
About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends for the past five years, and fostering for 2, and have loved building our little “drop in pet” family along the way. We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and we’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. Whether your pet enjoys walks, needs medication, extra cuddles, or just a calm and comfortable place to stay. We’re happy to accommodate their needs. 💜 I work a flexible, fully remote schedule so I have plenty of time in the day to care for your fur baby. I can offer plenty of bathroom breaks, walks or ball throwing, or a cozy dog bed next to me and my computer for them to rest. I have a fenced backyard, safe neighborhood to take them on walks in, and two teenage kids that also love to Help and play with pups.
About: I have loved dogs and puppies since before I could walk. I was the main caretaker of a 4 year old dog since he was a puppy before I moved to college, and now that I’ve graduated I want to be able to care for dogs again! I absolutely love the outdoors, including going on walks or hikes and parks. I'm very energetic, hard working, and punctual! I'll try to get back as soon as I can on any sitter requests. Feel free to let me know any special requests with your dog, I'm pretty flexible.
“Kelly is communicative, accommodating, and our fur babies love her! She always reaches out with questions or concerns if they should ever arise and that puts our mind at ease. We love and would recommend Kelly to anyone!”

About: I have over 15 years of hands‑on experience caring for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, goats, donkeys, and other farm companions. My equine background is especially strong: I’ve been certified (through United States Pony Club) in lameness evaluation, illness recognition, safety and first aid, and proper handling and riding techniques. I am comfortable administering oral medications and following special diets. Whether your animals need daily care, specialized attention, or confident handling, they’ll be in capable, knowledgeable hands. I work from home full time doing project management for clinical trials. My schedule is very flexible so I can take many play, potty, and walk breaks. Your pet won't be waiting around for the love and attention they deserve! I care for your pets with the same attention, patience, and consistency that I would give my own. I make sure their routines stay familiar, such as feeding, playtime, medications, and comfort rituals, so they feel relaxed while you’re away. I also respect your home as part of their environment, keeping everything clean, organized, and exactly as you left it. My goal is for you to return to happy pets and a space that feels untouched.
“Emily was very communicative! She came by for a meet and greet before her drop-in visit to get to know us + Indiana. She asked questions and gave helpful feedback after her visit! We would book her again!”

About: I am a junior at Utah State University majoring in Veterinary Science, and am living at home for the summer while doing an Animal Care Internship at the Humane Society of Utah. Growing up, I had my own pet care business where I would walk neighbors dogs and watch them while their owners were away. In addition, I also have a lot of experience volunteering at the Humane Society, and was even given the award for “Most Valuable Volunteer” in 2023. I’m currently doing a part time internship on weekdays from 7am to noon, but I have flexible hours on Saturdays and weekday afternoons. I live close to SugarHouse in Salt Lake City. Happy to travel, have a clean and reliable car. I am a very responsible and detailed oriented person and have been told I easily connect with people’s pets. I also had my own lawn care business growing up and am happy to help with watering plants or bringing in packages if I am caring for your pet while you are away.

About: I have grown up with big and small dogs and have always loved them. I make sure to be very attentive to any dog I am with, bringing them on lots of walks, and hanging with them. I am an online student with a flexible schedule. This allows me to be very attentive to your dog, lots of walks, lots of hanging nearby. I take great care of pets. I make sure they get the exercise they need, and the time spent just hanging out close by. I think most dogs love to be around people as much as they can, and I make that happen!

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, exercising, administering basic medications, and providing companionship while owners were away. As an avid skier, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy staying active and love giving dogs the exercise, attention, and enrichment they need. My professional background in customer service has also taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and treating every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply relaxing at home, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My days revolve around pet care! I have my own dog, his name is Trout and we live with my brother and his dog Eddy. I don’t work much in the summer so I am fully available for all things dogs. Happy to go on day hikes and swims or whatever your dog is used too. Trout and I have a balance of high activity days and rest days in between. Trout can always stay with Eddy if I am out too. As smart and incredible as our dogs are, I keep them safe by anticipating, seeing and thinking before they can. Caring for and keeping my dogs safe and healthy is all about risk awareness and management to me. I am no stranger to poop, nail clipping, wound care, diet specifications. I can also manage dogs that are used to social environments like dog parks but also comfortable with dogs who just need their personal space.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for the last 10 years before getting my own pup! I love all animals, and after using Rover myself, I know how important it is to find a great caretaker who will set your mind at ease and take great care of your fur baby. I am very responsive and flexible with my schedule, and will always keep you informed. I have experience with reactive dogs, administering medication, and handling multiple animals at once. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds and will give them the love and care they deserve as if they were my own. I have my own dog, so I am fully aware of how much time needs to be committed to their care, and will be very detail oriented with your pet! I will gladly accommodate specific walking routes, favorite toys or play times, or any special foods to treat or avoid. I have a fenced yard and am very conscious of dog interactions since my dog has some reactivity. I am always mindful of other dogs or animals on walks to make sure my dog is safe and I can redirect his attention or avoid confrontation with off leash dogs, and will show the same attentiveness with yours! For any boarding/doggy day care requests, I require that your pup be crate trained for at least 1 hour at a time comfortably.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Olympus
Rachel was incredible! Our dog loved her, and it was obvious when we got home that she was thoroughly worn out from her morning walk. She was punctual, sent us a photo during the walk, and we felt completely comfortable giving her access to our home while we were away. We’ll definitely be booking with her again whenever we need a dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
