About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old and trained my dog by myself. My dog, Coco is at home in Salt Lake City, and is still alive (13 years old!) and happy and healthy. I will spoil your pets and love them like you love them I’m a student, and I love pets and walking, so I can do walks once or multiple times per day! I would be more than happy to do so I will follow the instructions you give me for the care of your pets in your own home whilst being respectful and responsible of the house and your little family member :) Your pet will receive much love from me!

About: I've been around animals and caring for pets for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a family dog and have experience caring for both dogs and cats through pet ownership, pet sitting, and volunteer work. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've dog sat for coworkers, friends, and family over the years. More recently, I've been participating in Best Friends Animal Society's dog adventure program, where I take shelter dogs out for walks, hikes, and outings to give them exercise, enrichment, and a break from the shelter environment. Through these experiences, I've become comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, personalities, energy levels, and training backgrounds. I'm patient, reliable, and attentive to each animal's unique needs. Whether a pet enjoys outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I already spend much of my free time around animals. I regularly volunteer with shelter dogs, enjoy being outdoors, and have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate focused time to walks, visits, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention and exercise while maintaining any routines they are used to at home. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Having grown up with a reactive dog, I understand that every dog has different needs, triggers, and comfort levels. I pay close attention to body language, respect boundaries, and strive to create positive experiences that help dogs feel safe and secure. Through my experience taking shelter dogs on outings and adventures, I've worked with dogs of many different sizes, personalities, energy levels, and backgrounds. Some dogs have needed lots of exercise and enrichment, while others have benefited from a slower pace, extra patience, or a quieter environment. These experiences have taught me the importance of adapting my approach to each individual dog rather than expecting every dog to respond the same way. When caring for pets, I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special considerations so I can provide personalized care. During walks and outings, I use secure leashing practices, stay aware of my surroundings, and prioritize safety at all times. I also follow owner instructions closely and am happy to provide updates and photos while you're away.

About: I love the dogs more then anything!! Taking my dog for a walk is one of my favorite things to do and I’m hoping to assist others that aren’t able to walk their dogs as much as they would like. I am super active and I love to go to the park. I live right across the street from sugarhouse park which is the perfect place to take dogs! I often watch my in-laws dogs and they get the royal treatment and don’t want to leave here! I can’t wait to meet some new pups! I currently only work three days a week so I have a lot of extra time on my hands and I also love to stay active. I’m always at the park with my dog or taking it on walks or playing with him. I am available to walk dogs Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday all day or Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in the mornings! I also have a dog stroller for older dogs that still want to have some fun and get out but can’t quite keep up! I am super cautious with dogs and keeping them safe and on leash at all times. I’ve learned some great training techniques as well with dogs. I always like to make them feel comfortable. I have a yorkie which is a high anxiety dog so I know how to deal with that very well. He also has pancreatitis so I know how important staying on a healthy diet is for all dogs! We also live right next to a park which is amazing for morning walks and a dog park that is great for those social dogs!

About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends for the past five years, and fostering for 2, and have loved building our little “drop in pet” family along the way. We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and we’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. Whether your pet enjoys walks, needs medication, extra cuddles, or just a calm and comfortable place to stay. We’re happy to accommodate their needs. 💜 I work a flexible, fully remote schedule so I have plenty of time in the day to care for your fur baby. I can offer plenty of bathroom breaks, walks or ball throwing, or a cozy dog bed next to me and my computer for them to rest. I have a fenced backyard, safe neighborhood to take them on walks in, and two teenage kids that also love to Help and play with pups.

I walk my moms dogs daily and try to visit the pet shelter to keep the dogs and cats company I have always wanted my own dogs for when I’m older and look forward to it. I care for pets anyway and every way possible if the owner has special requests that is a no problem and I do basic things like walks, playing, tracing…

About: I’ve always loved animals! I’m not allowed to have my own while I’m renting but I enjoy playing and getting to know all that I get to meet! I am currently a pilot working on my hours! I get to make my own schedule doing that so I have plenty of time to add taking care of animals into the mix. Keeping the animals schedule consistent is how I like to keep them safe and also keeping a good eye on them since they are unfamiliar with me.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, exercising, administering basic medications, and providing companionship while owners were away. As an avid skier, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy staying active and love giving dogs the exercise, attention, and enrichment they need. My professional background in customer service has also taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and treating every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply relaxing at home, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My days revolve around pet care! I have my own dog, his name is Trout and we live with my brother and his dog Eddy. I don’t work much in the summer so I am fully available for all things dogs. Happy to go on day hikes and swims or whatever your dog is used too. Trout and I have a balance of high activity days and rest days in between. Trout can always stay with Eddy if I am out too. As smart and incredible as our dogs are, I keep them safe by anticipating, seeing and thinking before they can. Caring for and keeping my dogs safe and healthy is all about risk awareness and management to me. I am no stranger to poop, nail clipping, wound care, diet specifications. I can also manage dogs that are used to social environments like dog parks but also comfortable with dogs who just need their personal space.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
