About: I have had pets in my home for my entire life. I have volunteered in animal shelters since 2019 and currently do regular shifts at a local shelter, where I walk dogs (I am trained to the most advanced level, meaning I can interact with and walk dogs who are still working on their social skills and interactions), take dogs and cats on local news shows to encourage adoption, foster dogs in my own home, and take part in educational opportunities to continually advance my animal care and advocacy abilities. My full-time job is remote and has a flexible schedule, so I can hang out with pets for much of the day and take breaks for outside time, playtime, appointments, and so on. I also teach a handful of yoga classes every week, usually in the late mornings, but the times vary from week to week. I am happy to give your pet what they need, whether that's scritichies, playtime, walks, gentle time sitting around, medicine, and so on. Whatever it is, I will be patient with them and their needs.

About: I have grown up and raised numerous dogs at a time. I have experience with cats, birds, rodents and fish. My current pet is a husky named Lacey who loves and gets along with everyone including other pets. I have raised yorkies, pit bulls, huskies, and dalmatians just to name a few. i love to make new animal friends and cant wait to meet your best friend =) I work seasonal jobs and have long breaks in between jobs where I enjoy spending my time outside meeting new dogs and playing with my dog. I have a small but useful fenced in backyard as well as a large dog park around the corner where we can play and run our little hearts out. I enjoy long walks and throwing the ball for your pet to fetch. A tired pet is a happy pet.

About: Hi, neighbors and friends! I’m a millennial pug mom who loves dogs. I have raised pugs since I was 3 years old. I come from a family of dog breeders, adopters, fosters, and truly love pets as family. I am offering to love on your dog as much as I love my two pug four year old babies. I can take them for daily walks or the dog park while you are at work or vacation. I’m happy to help with puppies and senior dogs who may need to go out more often, or those with separation anxiety to feel safe with someone with them at home. Now booking for Summer 2026 book for your next vacation to care for your dog. I'm currently available to walk your dog in the mornings and evenings, as well as take them to the dog park for a play date. My dogs keep a routine so let us know if your dog also has a special routine so we can accommodate! I'm also happy to sit with them so they don't feel alone if you are out of town. I can visit your pet and make sure they are fed and have water, play with them, let them out and take them for a walk to the dog park if you like.

About: I have been around animals my whole life and have been in the veterinary field for 2 years. I'm looking to do some dog walking for the summer, and am a regular cat sitter! I'm available Mon-Wed at any time in the day! I can make Sundays work after 12pm. I'm currently working full time Thurs-Sat 1p-1a so I will be unavailable those days and Sunday mornings. I am happy to petsit at your home, or I can stop by to give your fuzzy creature a potty break! Unfortunately I live in a small apartment and am unable to petsit within my home.

About: Hi there! I’m a vet tech with 6 years of experience. I am no longer in the field but am comfortable giving medications to cats and dogs. I’m also comfortable with all dispositions of cat and dog! Willing to work with foster animals as well. I work full time down town with a flexible schedule. I am able to do 3 short visits a day at this time and hopefully longer stays in the future! I have 3 dogs of my own, including 2 senior animals with health issues. I have done lots of house and pet sitting in the past and my #1 goal is to help pets feel less alone while their parents aren’t there. I do my best to make pets I am watching feel loved and cared for.

She sent me so many pictures and went above and beyond - walking him multiple miles, hanging out with him while I was out of town, and playing violin with him :) he’s the most relaxed I’ve seen him post-trip and definitely had a good time.

Abby came to check on my cat every other day while I was on a trip. She gave thorough and consistent updates, sent pictures, and gave me such peace of mind while I was so far away. She also watered my indoor plants and my small sapling and everything was alive and well when I got home. Would definitely go through her again.

About: From Pugs to Pit Bulls and kittens to Maine Coons, I'll spoil your fur baby like it's my own! Special diets? Meds? Anxiety? With over 30 years of pet care experience, I've handled it all, and there's no ask too big or too small when it comes to keeping your cat or dog comfortable. I own a pet-friendly home (yes, they're allowed on the furniture!) near the U of U where I live with my husband and two Pugs, Biscuit and LouLou. I work from home, so they'll have near-constant supervision, plus access to a doggy door and fully-fenced backyard. If your pet prefers their own abode, I'm happy to house-sit and stay the night. I take my dogs to the park or on neighborhood walks daily, and your dog is welcome to join. If a solo stroll is more their style, I have plenty of free time to accommodate their exercise needs. Whether you're looking for a little help while your at work or a longer stay, your pet will be well taken care of with Aunt Megan! I currently work from home doing freelance marketing, content strategy and copywriting. My days are super flexible and I'm happy to work around your pet's routine. I have a small, fully-fenced yard accessible by medium-sized dog door. The side yard is grass and a great potty spot. The main portion of the yard is covered with a shady pergola and a daybed your dog can lounge on. It also features a small rock waterfall that doubles as a doggy splash pad and drinking fountain. Inside, I have 2 pet-friendly sofas on the main floor, one in the family room and one in the living room. My home spans 3 levels, each able to be closed off from the rest of the house, so if your pet likes a bit more privacy, they can have ample space of their own. Upstairs has its own AC unit and 3 rooms to spread out. I can also close off the sunny main floor laundry room that leads to the basement—the laundry room has 3 big windows with wide window sills and is a great hang-out spot for cats who want to spend the day watching birds and squirrels!

About: I have had a dog growing up for about 12 years and I am currently a cat owner. I have experience with both dogs and cats of all sizes. My friends whenever they go on trips always count on me to watch their cat or dog! I work as full time job currently but I am available every day after 4pm so I can absolutely help any animals then. I am completely free on Saturday and sundays I make sure my cat is given a lot of love and attention. I am checking on her water a lot and keep blinds open as she loves looking out the windows. For dogs I always ensure routine walks and potty breaks ensuring the dog takes atleast 3-4 potty breaks a day

We’ve trusted Zahir with our pets four different times now, including a 10+ day trip to Europe and a couple of last-minute bookings that truly saved us. We have a 105-pound Bernedoodle and an indoor/outdoor cat, and knowing they’re in his care gives us complete peace of mind. Our dog is incredibly loving but also anxious, stubborn, strong-willed, and very strong. Zahir has never once made us feel like Lloyd was too much to handle. He is confident, capable, and clearly experienced with large dogs and all the surprises that can come with them. He always sends thoughtful updates and great photos, genuinely cares about our pets’ well-being, and is proactive about emergency contacts and preparation. The one time he wasn’t available, he even connected us with someone he personally recommended. That level of care says a lot. We would give him five-plus stars and will continue to use him anytime we travel. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Salt Lake City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Salt Lake City with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
