About: I’ve been caring for pets for years and truly love getting to know each animal’s unique personality. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member because I have four pets myself. I’ll provide dependable care, lots of attention, and regular updates with photos for your peace of mind. I treat every pet as if they were my own and can’t wait to meet yours! I work from home full-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, medication, or simply companionship, I’ll be there to make sure they feel safe and loved. As a lifelong dog owner with over 15 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines. I’m committed to treating every animal as if they were my own, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I have a fenced yard and four dogs for your pets to play with. All dogs are good with other dogs, and I am available to pick up pets free of charge. I also take my dogs out daily to a dog park or on a hike, sometimes twice a day. This option is available to any dogs I pet sit within the owners comfortability. I ensure each pet gets one on one attention throughout the day. Care and love is the focus of my pet sitting style.

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life and have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I’m also a very involved pet parent to my Golden Retriever, Biscuit, who has taught me so much about training, patience, routines, and understanding a dog’s individual needs. I’ve worked alongside professional trainers with him and have experience reinforcing training, providing enrichment, going on walks, and helping him build confidence through anxiety and new situations. I also have experience administering oral medication to dogs, as Biscuit takes medication himself, so I understand the importance of following medication instructions and keeping a consistent schedule. I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I want every pet in my care to feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’ll care for yours just like I’d want someone to care for Biscuit. I’m currently a college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care throughout the week. I already structure my days around caring for my own pets, including walks, feeding, playtime, and enrichment, so adding another furry friend into my routine comes naturally. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual schedule and routine whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs, and I’ll follow any care instructions you provide closely. As a pet parent myself, I have experience with walks, feeding schedules, enrichment, training reinforcement, and administering oral medication. I’m also mindful of things like anxiety, triggers, and behavioral cues, and I believe in being patient and allowing pets to get comfortable with me at their own pace. I’ll always care for your pet the way I’d want someone to care for my own.

About: I am new here and in search of delightful snuggles and quality play time with adorable dogs and cats. I have pet care insurance and Red Cross pet first aid certification. I've cared for and loved animals my entire life, and have also had several careers involving animal care. Over the decades I've welcomed into my home cats, dogs, ferrets, snakes, and more. As a science teacher I've had classroom pets including gerbils, rats, fish, snakes, and even Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches. I have Red Cross certification in cat and dog first aid, which I myself take comfort in having, and private pet care insurance. Professional experience includes: *I worked for the Tracy Aviary decades ago as their Outreach Education Specialist, taking native hawks, falcons, and owls to classrooms across the state. **In my early 20's, I cared for animals at the largest kennel in Central Kentucky, Shaebell Kennels. ***I have a Master's Degree in Education, Ecology/Biology, with 2 summers of Eastern Bluebird field research ****I have taught science for over 22 years at middle and high school levels. Scientifically, yes, they are animals too *****I've done bird surveys for the USFS and amphibian surveys for Frog Loggers of Kentucky, and many other volunteer ecology activities. I love working with animals of all kinds: domestic, wild, and middle-schoolers. :) Now I'm looking to relax and enjoy a quieter retirement and lots of outdoor time. Walking dogs and caring for animals sounds like an ideal hobby. I'd love to meet your sweet pets and possibly care for them. I'm brand new here, and am excited about making my first new animal friends! Now that I'm retired, my schedule is quite flexible. I'm available nearly any day and time requested. Weekdays and weekends are very similar, and I like that! Please check my calendar for availability block-outs. Safety and enjoyment are my top priorities...I want your pet to be delighted with our time together, but first we must all be safe! Thus, I'm certified by the American Red Cross in Dog and Cat first aid, and I have Pet Sitter Insurance. My goal is to not need to use that training or insurance! While teaching, I've walked hoards of middle schoolers around the city for 20 years (our school makes great use of public resources). Makes herding cats seem easy. :) Anyway, I have a full understanding of and appreciation for the risks of walking an urban environment, and will be alert and aware of our surroundings always. I will do my best to avoid possible threats and keep us all safe. If you have route suggestions, I'm all ears! Speaking of which: I look forward to meet-and-greets as an enjoyable opportunity to learn about each other and hopefully create great bonds. Beyond that, I'll learn so much about your pet, including any behaviors or medical conditions I should be aware of, or any special requests you may have. I will walk a maximum of 2 dogs together, from the same household. Since I'm new here, I want to be able to give my undivided attention and affection while I, too, am learning the ropes. For drop-in sitting, I can care for up to 5 animals in one home. If your dog pulls frequently, I may ask you if I may try some training tactics. If your dog is a strong puller, I might suggest that I am not the best fit. I think I'm in pretty good physical shape for my age, but a stronger walker might be a safer alternative for all. With drop-in sitting, I can provide nearly any pet service needed in your home, including feeding, watering, play time, and most of the extra care that senior animals or those with health issues might need. I am responsible, reliable, and respectful of your wishes for your pet's best care. Most of all, I'm excited to make some new fur baby friends!

About: I adore dogs! Tilly (my dog) and I would love to give your pup one-on-one attention while you're away. For as long as I can remember, animals have been part of my life — my childhood dogs were a Great Dane and a Mastiff, so I'm just as comfortable with larger breeds as I am with smaller ones. I've had dogs my whole life and have been babysitting dogs for 15 years. I know how important it is to dogs and their owners to have attentive and consistent companionship, not just a quick check-in. I can provide the calm, steady environment that suits easygoing dogs best — plenty of cuddles, a relaxed pace, and someone paying attention to their needs all day long. We'll also get out for regular walks to keep them happy and active. I'm a neuroscience researcher and work from home most days. I'll be home all day during your booking, so your pup is never left alone or wondering when you're coming back. If your dog would thrive with a in a calm environment with a devoted human and amiable doggy companion, Tilly and I would love to host your pup! I work full-time, but will be working from home all day when I am babysitting your pup! My dog and I go for frequent little walks throughout the day to enjoy the adorable neighborhood! My apartment is a good size for all breeds, but is most comfortable for less energetic pups. I have an unfenced yard, so no time off-leash during bathroom breaks, unfortunately. My neighborhood is extremely dog friendly, so walks to stretch our legs throughout the day!

About: I grew up with dogs and currently have a rescue husky who I am training to pass the CGC test (she is doing well!). Our family is very much a “pack,” meaining our husky is not just a pet but a companion. We all (including our husky) love visitors, humans and dogs! I currently work part-time and a knitting store and part-time online. I hike or run most days. Pet care fits easily into this routine, especially alongside care for my husky! This includes walks, sitting, and overnight care. I will keep your dog within eyesight during care. I will happily stay with them at home, or take them on walks, depending on what you prefer.

About: I've been caring for pets for over 15 years, both as an owner and a trusted sitter. I currently have a Lab/Collie mix named Coleslaw, so I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your dog like they're family. Whether it's long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or sticking to your dog's routine, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away. You'll also get plenty of photo updates, so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. Pet care is already a part of my everyday routine, so fitting in walks, playtime, feedings, and plenty of attention comes naturally. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate your pet's needs, whether that's sticking to a specific routine, providing frequent potty breaks, or simply spending quality time with them to keep them happy and comfortable. Every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether I'm caring for them in my home or yours, I'll make sure they have plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, fresh water, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality, respect any feeding or medication instructions, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they're doing.

I can walk your dog, play with your dog, bring them to dog park, etc… anything to fulfill your request! I work from home full time, which gives me flexible schedule and allows me accommodate pet care throughout the day. Weather it’s a morning dog walk, a midday drop in visit, or an evening check in. I am able to provide reliable and on time care while working around your pet’s rountine. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. About: I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for family and friends for about seven years. During that time, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, giving me experience adapting to each pet’s unique needs. Some of the dogs that I’ve regularly cared for include my Mom’s 2- year old Yorkshire Terrier, Monroe, who I watch monthly for around a week at a time, I take to vet appointments, groomer appointments, and walk almost hourly; my family friend’s 15- year old Pit Bull, Poke; another friend’s 18-year old Chihuahua, Seabastian; and my family’s 5 year old dog, Miniboss. I’ve also looked after several other dogs over the years, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, potty training and breaks, and providing companionship while their owners were away. What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. Caring for senior dogs like Poke and Seabastian has taught me to pay close attention to their comfort, routines, and changing needs, while spending time with younger dogs like Monroe and Mini Boss has helped me keep up with energetic play, exercise, and maintaining consistent routines. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I always communicate clearly with owners and am happy to provide regular updates and photos. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience and attention, I’ll care for them as if they were a part of my own family. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet have a positive, stress-free experience. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate times to walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I enjoy being active, so taking dogs on walks and spending quality time with them is something I genuinely look forward to. When caring for a pet, I make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also make sure to provide plenty of attention, affection, and regular updates with photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, including their feeding schedules, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any special instructions, so I can keep their day as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I treat both their pet and their home with respect. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, freshwater, and lots of affection while maintaining the routine they’re used to. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can see how well your pet is doing while you’re away. Safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention during walks, make sure doors and gates are secure, and keep a close eye on each pet to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and comfortable. I care for every pet as if they were my own and strive to make every visit a positive experience.

About: From Pugs to Pit Bulls and kittens to Maine Coons, I'll spoil your fur baby like it's my own! Special diets? Meds? Anxiety? With over 30 years of pet care experience, I've handled it all, and there's no ask too big or too small when it comes to keeping your cat or dog comfortable. I own a pet-friendly home (yes, they're allowed on the furniture!) near the U of U where I live with my husband and two Pugs, Biscuit and LouLou. I work from home, so they'll have near-constant supervision, plus access to a doggy door and fully-fenced backyard. If your pet prefers their own abode, I'm happy to house-sit and stay the night. I take my dogs to the park or on neighborhood walks daily, and your dog is welcome to join. If a solo stroll is more their style, I have plenty of free time to accommodate their exercise needs. Whether you're looking for a little help while your at work or a longer stay, your pet will be well taken care of with Aunt Megan! I currently work from home doing freelance marketing, content strategy and copywriting. My days are super flexible and I'm happy to work around your pet's routine. I have a small, fully-fenced yard accessible by medium-sized dog door. The side yard is grass and a great potty spot. The main portion of the yard is covered with a shady pergola and a daybed your dog can lounge on. It also features a small rock waterfall that doubles as a doggy splash pad and drinking fountain. Inside, I have 2 pet-friendly sofas on the main floor, one in the family room and one in the living room. My home spans 3 levels, each able to be closed off from the rest of the house, so if your pet likes a bit more privacy, they can have ample space of their own. Upstairs has its own AC unit and 3 rooms to spread out. I can also close off the sunny main floor laundry room that leads to the basement—the laundry room has 3 big windows with wide window sills and is a great hang-out spot for cats who want to spend the day watching birds and squirrels!

About: I have had a dog growing up for about 12 years and I am currently a cat owner. I have experience with both dogs and cats of all sizes. My friends whenever they go on trips always count on me to watch their cat or dog! I work as full time job currently but I am available every day after 4pm so I can absolutely help any animals then. I am completely free on Saturday and sundays I make sure my cat is given a lot of love and attention. I am checking on her water a lot and keep blinds open as she loves looking out the windows. For dogs I always ensure routine walks and potty breaks ensuring the dog takes atleast 3-4 potty breaks a day

She was interactive with Rusty and took pictures of him throughout their time together. I also appreciated that she reported about his BMs so I knew he was well digestively too. We’ve trusted Zahir with our pets four different times now, including a 10+ day trip to Europe and a couple of last-minute bookings that truly saved us. We have a 105-pound Bernedoodle and an indoor/outdoor cat, and knowing they’re in his care gives us complete peace of mind. Our dog is incredibly loving but also anxious, stubborn, strong-willed, and very strong. Zahir has never once made us feel like Lloyd was too much to handle. He is confident, capable, and clearly experienced with large dogs and all the surprises that can come with them. He always sends thoughtful updates and great photos, genuinely cares about our pets’ well-being, and is proactive about emergency contacts and preparation. The one time he wasn’t available, he even connected us with someone he personally recommended. That level of care says a lot. We would give him five-plus stars and will continue to use him anytime we travel. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Salt Lake City with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
