Stress-Free Pet Care for Busy Owner

It’s nice to meet you! I’m Alex. As a fellow dog owner and Rover-user, I get how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your fur baby in the hands of a stranger. You want to make sure you leave them with someone who can make them happy and relaxed, while at the same time ensuring that they’re safe and properly cared for. They need to be someone you trust, who not only has an undying love for animals, but the experience and know-how to provide a professional service. I’m here to help! Whether it’s taking your pup on a walk, providing quality pet care while you’re away, or just being a friend your pet can chill with, I’m here to make your life easier and turn this stressful process into a worry-free experience. WHY CHOOSE ME? Experienced Sitter and Walker. With 18+ years of experience pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors on the east coast and 10+ years of experience walking dogs (my goldendoodle alone gets 2-3 miles a day, rain or shine), you can relax knowing that your pet is safe and in good hands. Flexible Scheduling. I work from home, so it doesn’t matter if you're looking for a daily walk, going on an overnight trip, or just held up at work, I’m ready to offer quality care at any time. Ultimate Convenience. Worried about your house? No worries, I can help with basic tasks such as turning the lights on at night, collecting any mail or packages, and caring for your plants. Consistent, Reliable Care. Not only do I have my own transportation, but I also have a back-up emergency sitter in case something happens to me, ensuring that your pet is always cared for. Peace of Mind. Seeing is believing. After each visit, I send daily updates with a brief summary and multiple photos so you can be certain that your pet is having just as much fun as you. Fast Support. I do my best to respond to text messages within an hour of when it is received. If it’s sent after 8PM MDT, I’ll respond first thing in the morning. WHAT SERVICES DO I CURRENTLY OFFER? 1. Dog Walks. The BEST way to keep your pup active, engaged, and out of trouble all day long. Each walk includes either taking your dog(s) on a leashed stroll around the area or actively playing with them in the backyard. Have bad weather? I limit outdoor activity to 10 minutes and spend the rest of the time playing indoors. Have an older dog? I’ll gladly adjust their physical activity to meet their specific needs. I recommend this option if you want me to visit up to 30 or 60 minutes at a time and focus on exercise and active play. 2. Drop-Ins. The GO-TO option for quality pet care. Each visit includes giving your pet fresh food and water, taking them out to go to the bathroom, providing medical care, and spending time with them. I recommend this option if you want me to visit up to 30 or 60 minutes at a time and focus on giving your pet tender loving care. 3. House Sitting. The ULTIMATE way to receive extended pet and house care. Want me to stay more than 60 minutes at a time or keep an eye on the house? House sitting might be the best option for you. Please reach out so we can discuss what you’re looking for and if this or drop-ins are a better fit. If you are looking for someone to watch over the house 24/7 without leaving (e.g., to get chores done), we are not a good fit. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Think I might be a great fit? Here is a step-by-step look at what you can expect if you choose to work with me: 1. Contact Me Through Rover. Send me a message so we can discuss the service you’re interested in, your pet’s care needs and history, and the estimated price. 2. Do a Complimentary Meet & Greet. Schedule a time to meet to determine if I’m a great match for you and your pet. We will also discuss care details, answer any questions, and finalize a price. 3. Approve the Booking. If we agree to being a great fit, I will send a message through Rover to approve the booking. You have 72 hours to confirm. 4. Provide Detailed Instructions. Be as specific as possible about what I need to do (preferably printed instructions). My service is only as good as the instructions given to me so please provide the following: Departure and arrival time, pet personality, general temperament, pet likes and dislike, training & experience, list of commands, past experience with sitters & strangers, aggression level, daily routine, potty break schedule, food & water schedule, treats, medication & medical care, allergies, emergency info, vet info, and emergency contact(s). 5. Relax & Receive Daily Updates. Sit back and relax as you receive daily updates on how your pet is doing. Each update comes with a brief summary and multiple photos. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. What animals do you care for? Dogs of any size. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to cats. 2. What animals do you work best with? I work best with calm, low-energy animals, but I also work well with animals who are energetic and playful. I’m not a good fit, however, if your pet is reactive, temperamental, or has a history of aggressive behavior (e.g., biting, snapping, snarling, nipping, lunging). If this is our first time working together, I will schedule a meet and greet to see if your pet and I are compatible with each other. My top priority is your pet’s safety and happiness. If I’m not 150% confident that I can give your pet the best care possible, I have no problem saying no. 3. What type of medical care do you provide? I can provide basic medical care such as giving pills and heartworm medication or applying flea and tick medication. For animals that require more extensive care, I strongly suggest going to someone who has certified training. 4. Who is your emergency back-up sitter? My fiancé, Kenny (a picture of him is available in the photos section). He’s amazing with pets and works incredibly well with high-energy ones. So much so, that we always joke that our dog Kuma doesn't see him as a person, but as a personal squeak toy. With that being said, he only gets involved when 2 conditions are met: 1) something happens to me that significantly delays or prevents your pet from receiving care; and 2) we notify you of the situation and receive written permission from you to step in (through Rover). That sums it up. If you think I might be a great fit, take the next step by hitting the Contact button. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! Otherwise, it's been a pleasure having you here. I truly appreciate your time and consideration. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Have a great rest of your week! Alex

This was my first time using Rover and we were very happy. Alexandra was so awesome. From the meet and greet to the day we returned from vacation we could not have been more pleased how she took care of our boys. We loved getting the photos and updates after each visit. I am sure these guys are missing her drop in visits. Without a doubt, we will reach out to her the next time we leave town. We thoroughly read her reviews before we asked if she was available and she exceeded our expectations! The boys and the house were perfect when we returned. Thanks again Alexandra (and Rover).

Alex did such an amazing job with my Lucy. It was her first time being left home alone with someone who wasn’t family . She let Lucy warm up to her at her own pace and helped her feel safe and comfortable . She took her for lots of walks , played with her, and gave her all of the loves . She also captured the most amazing and silly photos of Lucy .

Alex understands dogs and I never have to worry when my puppy is with her. She is the perfect blend of professionalism and warmth. We have been getting regular walks from her for some time and she has been so consistent, dependable and communicative. I cannot recommend her enough (also my puppy adores her).
