“Libby took a good care of my cats Anakin and Frida. She slept two nights at my place. She was very proactive sending pictures and videos and she also answered quickly to my texts. She was the first person boarding in my place and I'm very happy with the experience.”

“No problem at all leaving my dogs in Ellie’s care. She came round in advance of my time away to meet them and I was confident they would be fine. Ellie kept in touch whilst I was away and sent little photos which was nice and I came home to two very happy and settled doggies! First time for me to use this service, but would definitely use again and highly recommend 😊”

About: I'm experienced in caring for both cats and dogs, and especially passionate about giving excellent care to older and/or medically complex pets. I love the wide variety in cat behaviour, whether they are happiest just existing in the same room, or sitting on my lap, I am always happy to take care of them. While I love all types of dogs, I'm best suited to dogs with less intensive exercise needs, such as smaller breeds or elder dogs. To give more information about my experience taking care of animals, I began with taking care of my neighbour's cat when they went on holiday. Even once her owners were back from holiday, we got into a routine where the cat would wait on the front doorstep every day for me to give her chin scritches. My interest in taking care of medically complex pets comes from personal experience, as my family dog suffered a spinal cord injury a few years ago. Luckily, after excellent vet care, he has an excellent quality of life and is very happy, just with shorter walks than before and regular pain-management medication. I'm very happy to take care of pets that need a little extra attention and support, whether that is with medication, toileting, pain management, and anything else your pet needs support with. I'm most comfortable house-sitting, as this guarantees your pet will receive love and care whenever they need it. I can also travel for drop-in visits and walks. I'll probably ask a lot of questions just to make sure their is minimal disruption to your pets regular lifestyle, and will of course send plenty of updates and photos while taking care of them. I work remotely and flexibly, so can build my routine around your pets' needs. I'd appreciate if you can tell me of their usual routine in advance. I will care for your pets as you do! It depends upon the individual pet and their usual routine - whether it's a cat that roams as they wish, a dog that has specific walk times, or anything in between. I trust that you know what is best for your pet, and will always to my best to minimise any disruption to their usual routine and lifestyle. I understand that some pets can find it stressful to be taken care of by a new person, and am always happy to do home visits ahead of your trip so that we can make sure that I am the right person to take care of your pet.
“Thanks so much for a positive first experience of leaving our pup with a sitter. Sarah kindly popped round a few days before hand to meet both us and our dog so we knew she’d be left in good hands. This put my mind at ease and meant we could leave the house knowing our pup was looked after and happy. As an experienced dog owner we knew Sarah would look after our pup as if she were her own and be able to handle any moments of puppy madness! Thanks again.”

“This was my first time leaving my two dogs and my home in the care of someone I didn’t know, and I was very anxious about it, especially with being away for 10 days. I’m so glad I found Reece and his girlfriend Lucy through this website. Reece took the time to visit me and meet my dogs at my home before I made the booking, which really helped put me at ease. He was polite, friendly, and reassuring, and my dogs took to him right away. While I was on holiday, Reece kept me updated with photos of my dogs, which was such a comfort. When I returned, my home was tidy and my dogs were happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Thanks to Reece and Lucy, I was able to truly relax on my holiday knowing my dogs were in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking them again!”

“We could not of been any luckier with coming across Barbara, our dog Kasper took to her straight away and settled really easily. She did everything and more that we'd of hoped for, to which saw Kasper cuddle up to her... Something he doesn't do often!! We will definitely be using their expertise again”

About: I can offer care for all animals at your house. I have had 3 dogs in the past at home to look after alongside a cat. The age and size of dog doesn't bother me as long as if I am to walk them they won't pull me over as I am small. I am 26 and love animals, but working at the station means owning one is difficult. I can groom, walk, play and cuddle. I have a car so can take the dogs to parks or other places further out the way for walks as well as being able to provide my own transport. I can give regular updates on the animals during the day if wished. I work a shift pattern so can help with different days, different times to suit as needed. I walk plenty and own a house with a garden so happy to have your dog for as long as needed across the day I have a 6ft walled garden and plenty of knowledge of where to walk dogs in the local area to suit whatever needs are required
“Oskar greets Max like he's an old friend and seems to love seeing him. Max is really good with him and trying to keep him calm as I leave the house. He also picked up and told me about any problems with Oskar”

“Elaine has captured Darcy’s heart. A new BFF! Elaine took wonderful care of the dog and went the extra mile with the house! Thank you! A real treasure and pleasure to know. We will definitely book again.”

“After initially being concerned about leaving a cat and kitten, who are a bit high maintenance, I returned home to two relaxed pets in a clean & tidy house. Susannah sent pictures and updates - and took the kitten out into the garden on its lead. I very much hope she will be a available next time I go away.”

“Elora looked after Max in our home on Saturday. She arrived very promptly and gave regular updates - Max was clearly having a fantastic time! Elora is such a lovely person - kind, gentle and devoted to animals. I won't hesitate to book her again!”
About: I grew up with a dog for 15 and a half years, which had a profound impact on me. I decided to pursue dog training after adopting a Boxer, a decision I've never regretted. I've learned a great deal about myself, including my insecurities, strengths, and how dogs and horses perceive me. It's been an invaluable experience that I've refined more and more throughout my life. I can care for dogs of any size and age, though they should be at least one year old. If needed, I can train young dogs and also care for older ones. I can also administer oral medications and give your Sweetie a soft & calming massage. In 2018 and 2021, I adopted two rescued Greyhounds whose calm and balanced nature has helped many other dogs. Even though they sometimes get excited at dog meetups, they always manage to build a stable relationship. This invaluable talent has brought us many friends on our daily walks. My two sweeties have become important members of various dog groups / packs and are, of course, always welcome among people. I am also available to help with nearly any behavioural issues you may encounter with your dog. How to read a dog's body language? How do I train my dog not to pull on the leash all the time? Why does my dog bark even when there's (obviously) no reason to? Would you like to change this unwanted behaviour in your beloved pet? Talk to me. I work from my home office in the mornings. At midday, I take my two Greyhounds for a walk, and they always enjoy sharing this time with new friends. They are both extremely friendly and outgoing, even with small dogs. Then it's garden time, perhaps some training, or playtime with friends like a Giant Schnauzer or a Whippet at my house. So there's always something going on, and after all that romping around, a cool bed on the lawn is just what's needed. I have a fenced garden, live in a quiet area with very friendly neighbours, I offer lounging areas, cooling mats in the summer, and a separate feeding area.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, I currently have a 45kg Labrador cross so very experienced with all large dogs. I’ve done a variety of training and will always help you with your dogs if you need any guidance. I work this round my university studies, I’m usually available every weekend & evenings but I can accommodate last minute requests, Just give me a message! I have a large fenced garden and a large Labrador playmate for your pets! We go on long walks, often to the beach or the woods.
About: I may only be 19 but I've lived with dogs my whole life, having 2 at home. I often take care of them myself when my parents are on holiday for a week at a time so I'm more than familiar with feeding, playing and walking. I love dogs and though I'll always love my own dogs most of all, I can't wait for yours to find their way into my heart. :) I am currently studying at university so my main availability is weekdays and evenings however I am fully flexible especially on days when I only have one lecture. I am more than happy to walk dogs in mornings or evenings or stay over in a home they feel comfortable in. If I am caring for your dog at your house, I may as well be at my own house as I and the dog will be more than comfortable and relaxed. Even if we've played for an hour straight, im always happy to play more!

Lancaster pet owners share their Rover experiences
Baloo had another great afternoon with Sarah. He really enjoyed his walk and cuddles and Sarah sent super updates and photos to reassure that he was doing well and having a ball without us! Sarah really 'gets' Baloo and his puppy quirks. She cares for him so well and it's very reassuring to know he's in capable hands.

Elle was an absolute godsend. After being cancelled on and declined by several sitters at short notice, she stepped in and made everything easy from the start. She even suggested popping over beforehand to meet us and the dogs, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout our time away, she was really responsive on messages and sent regular photos and updates, which we really appreciated. It was clear our boys loved her, they were completely comfortable around her from the outset, which says everything about her energy and the way she is with dogs. She took great care of them, including their walks, and we came home to two very happy pups. To top it off, she went above and beyond by stripping the bedding, washing it, and giving the place a hoover — something we absolutely didn’t expect, but massively appreciated (especially after a slightly worse-for-wear return home!). We felt completely comfortable leaving both our home and our dogs in Elle’s care. She’s a genuinely lovely person, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Nikky has a very calm and confident energy that made me feel comfortable as soon as I met her. My boy is very anxious when I leave him, so to know he has a friend who chats away and reassures him when I’m gone. She gave me updates and was super chill about the quirks of both my wonky house and my particular pup.

Niamh did a really good job looking after our dogs Rover and Pippa while we were away. She was happy to have a meet and greet before the sit, was friendly, considerate and proactive and send us regular updates during the stay. Both dogs were happy and content upon our return. We were glad to know Pippa and Rover were well cared for and would definitely book her services again

Libby has looked after Maisie for the past 2 weekends and has been has been an absolute dream and so easy to keep in touch with. Had daily photos sent which put my mind at ease. Maisie is usually quite cautious of strangers but seemed to settle very quickly with Libby around - thank you so much!!
