“Elizabeth was great at looking after Tamu - thank you so much! She was very communicative with me sending messages and pictures regularly, which was very reassuring. She also left the house looking great too. Would happily recommend Elizabeth others.”

About: I have had over forty years of caring for my own cats and dogs and small pets. My last dog was a big rescue lurcher from Teckell's in Whitminster, where I used to volunteer. But now I just have two bantams and lots of fish and so I have lots of free time to give to your much loved cat or dog. I am licenced with Stroud District Council for home boarding: licence number 21/00809/AWACT Whatever service you book, your dog, cat or small family pet will be well loved and get lots of cuddles and attention. Dogs will always have lots of fun on great walks with me as there are exciting walks in the local area, plus I have a large and secure garden for your dog to play in. I will send you daily updates, including videos, to let you know that your dog or cat is having a great time with me. I have plenty of time to devote to your fur baby. I am licenced with Stroud District Council for home boarding two dogs at a time. Living in a rural location, there are great walks right on the doorstep for your dog to enjoy. Your much loved pet will be cared for within my own home, where they will receive lots of fuss and attention and be treated as if they were my own. I love all dogs and cats and so this is the very easy part! My licence from SDC allows me to have two dogs staying at any one time, so it is essential that your dog is well socialized. A condition of my licence states that two dogs who are due to board together must have an opportunity to meet beforehand, to ensure they get along, and so this has to be factored in to any booking. Maybe your pet will need some extra special attention in some way? Please, just talk to me and let me know exactly what you need.
“Jane has been absolutely amazing whilst we have been away. Lots of daily updates and pictures, both dogs looked relaxed and happy. Definitely will be getting her to dog sit them again”

“We had a wonderful experience with our cat‑sitter Rowan over a long weekend. They took excellent care of our 12‑year‑old cat, giving her plenty of playtime, affection, and calm company. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which kept us reassured while we were away. The house was left tidy and just as we’d left it. Highly recommended”

“We could not of been any luckier with coming across Barbara, our dog Kasper took to her straight away and settled really easily. She did everything and more that we'd of hoped for, to which saw Kasper cuddle up to her... Something he doesn't do often!! We will definitely be using their expertise again”

“Helen was fantastic, we would highly recommend her as a house/pet sitter and we will be using her again. Our dog Shelby had a lovely time whilst we were away for 2 weeks, and the house was immaculate when we returned! We received regular updates from Helen, she was friendly, professional and very attentive when caring for Shelby. Thank you Helen! X”

About: I grew up with German shepherds, New Foundlands, Burmese mountain dogs, Cocker Spaniels and also cats, however my main bulk of experience comes from managing a wildlife rescue centre in Norfolk, working with lots of birds ranging from pigeons, Corvids (including ravens) chickens, (lots of) ducks, gulls, parrots, owls, buzzards and kestrels. We also worked alot with exotics; corn snakes, royal pythons, carpet pythons, boa constrictors, Burmese python, ackie and savannah (bosc) monitors and also mammals such as foxes, deer, squirrel, rats, mice and a Japanese racoon dog. As well as caring and providing basic aid a large part of my role included training our ambassador animals, facilitating encounters and educational experiences and also hand rearing alot of animals I work as a bank supporter worker so my shifts are flexible, typically I work 12 hour shifts a few times a week, however with enough notice I would be able to take shorter shifts instead I would like to visit your home before the booking starts so that you animals can meet me, try to minimalise surprises for them, given instructions I would try to keep to their usual routine as much as possible while also trying to make some extra fuss to alleviate any anxiety.

About: I have had family dogs since I was 4 years old. I was brought up in a house of animal lovers, and have always loved dogs especially. I have looked after and cared for lots of friends dogs in the past, and now would like to make a bit of additional income out of doing it, whilst also spending time with the best animals on the planet! I love walking and I am very active, so walking dogs isn't a problem. The family dog (Basil) has gone blind sadly so I have been helping look after him, so I have experience with this. I have also looked after different breeds of dogs, so I am prepared to look after a variety of different breeds. I have also dealt with dogs with anxiety, and ADHD, so feel I have experience supporting and caring for dogs in that area. I am a very kind, gentle person, who loves giving dogs attention and tummy rubs! My spirit animal is also a golden retriever if that helps! I work full time Monday-Friday, although finish at midday on Fridays. So I will be available most evenings to help walk or look after the dog, or during lunches also as I WFH a lot of the week so can pop out and walk the dogs no bother! I also have plenty of time and capacity free on the weekends for house sittings and to walk and look after your dogs whilst you are away. Always keep an eye out on my pets, make sure they are happy and relaxed. Give them plenty of fuss. I like to play with them as I know it is good for them. It is good to stimulate them so hiding treats around the room and getting them to find them and sniff them out is good for them. Plenty of cuddles. Giving them space and leaving them to relax if they are tired and resting. Watching out for any warning signs of stress or anxiety. Also reading the signs of when they need to go out to the toilet! Making them feel safe, secure, relaxed by acting calm around them. Not raising my voice or shouting, speaking to them in a positive tone and tell them they are a good boy/girl is my fave thing!
