About: I have had over forty years of caring for my own cats and dogs and small pets. My last dog was a big rescue lurcher from Teckell's in Whitminster, where I used to volunteer. But now I just have two bantams and lots of fish and so I have lots of free time to give to your much loved cat or dog. I am licenced with Stroud District Council for home boarding: licence number 21/00809/AWACT Whatever service you book, your dog, cat or small family pet will be well loved and get lots of cuddles and attention. Dogs will always have lots of fun on great walks with me as there are exciting walks in the local area, plus I have a large and secure garden for your dog to play in. I will send you daily updates, including videos, to let you know that your dog or cat is having a great time with me. I have plenty of time to devote to your fur baby. I am licenced with Stroud District Council for home boarding two dogs at a time. Living in a rural location, there are great walks right on the doorstep for your dog to enjoy. Your much loved pet will be cared for within my own home, where they will receive lots of fuss and attention and be treated as if they were my own. I love all dogs and cats and so this is the very easy part! My licence from SDC allows me to have two dogs staying at any one time, so it is essential that your dog is well socialized. A condition of my licence states that two dogs who are due to board together must have an opportunity to meet beforehand, to ensure they get along, and so this has to be factored in to any booking. Maybe your pet will need some extra special attention in some way? Please, just talk to me and let me know exactly what you need.

First time using the service and finding day care without a personal recommendation. Steven was very responsive with our questions and clearly great with dogs - the hound came back suitably exhausted.

Jenny came to sit for me this week for my dog and cat. She was really lovely, keen to understand all about their routines, likes and dislikes, Jenny sent me pictures and it looked as if my dog was really enjoying her company. He bonded really well with her. Would definitely recommend.

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8, looking after our family dog daily. For the past two years, I’ve regularly cared for my boyfriend’s puppy, including solo walks, holidays together, and plenty daily walks, even on the beach! I truly love dogs and, after losing my own, I want to share that love by helping others care for theirs. I’m careful, attentive, and very aware of my surroundings on walks. I live close to many beautiful short and long walking routes in the lakes and have both a large, secure garden and a safely fenced courtyard for dogs. I have a flexible part-time job and work self-employed two days a week, so my availability can often be adjusted. I’m available most weekday evenings and usually every other weekend and I’m always happy to work out what’s best for you and your dog. I love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always prioritise trust, attention, and enjoyable walks! I will make sure things are easy and stress-free for both dogs and their owners :)

We can highly recommend Ieva as a housesitter for your pets. Ieva looked after our two dogs Lulu and Holly whilst we were away on holiday for a week in April 2026. Ieva arranged a pre-visit to meet us and our dogs before the house sitting which reassured us that they would be looked after well. Whilst on holiday we received regular updates with photos and when we returned home everything was left clean and tidy and the dogs were relaxed and happy. We hope to be able to use Ieva's housesitting services again the next time we go on holiday.

Rowan was brilliant with our two cats, who instantly took to them and clearly felt safe with them. Rowan stayed overnight in our home with the cats, and left it clean, without any concerns. Rowan sent regular updates for how the cats were getting on, including photos. Rowan followed everything we asked of them, which we're very grateful for! We'll be booking Rowan again - thoroughly recommend!

We could not of been any luckier with coming across Barbara, our dog Kasper took to her straight away and settled really easily. She did everything and more that we'd of hoped for, to which saw Kasper cuddle up to her... Something he doesn't do often!! We will definitely be using their expertise again

About: I have had family dogs since I was 4 years old. I was brought up in a house of animal lovers, and have always loved dogs especially. I have looked after and cared for lots of friends dogs in the past, and now would like to make a bit of additional income out of doing it, whilst also spending time with the best animals on the planet! I love walking and I am very active, so walking dogs isn't a problem. The family dog (Basil) has gone blind sadly so I have been helping look after him, so I have experience with this. I have also looked after different breeds of dogs, so I am prepared to look after a variety of different breeds. I have also dealt with dogs with anxiety, and ADHD, so feel I have experience supporting and caring for dogs in that area. I am a very kind, gentle person, who loves giving dogs attention and tummy rubs! My spirit animal is also a golden retriever if that helps! I work full time Monday-Friday, although finish at midday on Fridays. So I will be available most evenings to help walk or look after the dog, or during lunches also as I WFH a lot of the week so can pop out and walk the dogs no bother! I also have plenty of time and capacity free on the weekends for house sittings and to walk and look after your dogs whilst you are away. Always keep an eye out on my pets, make sure they are happy and relaxed. Give them plenty of fuss. I like to play with them as I know it is good for them. It is good to stimulate them so hiding treats around the room and getting them to find them and sniff them out is good for them. Plenty of cuddles. Giving them space and leaving them to relax if they are tired and resting. Watching out for any warning signs of stress or anxiety. Also reading the signs of when they need to go out to the toilet! Making them feel safe, secure, relaxed by acting calm around them. Not raising my voice or shouting, speaking to them in a positive tone and tell them they are a good boy/girl is my fave thing!

Elaine was an excellent sitter and bonded immediately with our 2 Border Collies Jess and Isla. They were looked after for 3 nights in our own home and Elaine gave us reports of their progress. We would highly recommend Elaine as she is the perfect sitter for us. Thanks Elaine, we will see you again.

Don’t let Sophie’s lack of reviews deter you from booking her. This was my first time leaving my puppy (as well as my mums elderly chocolate Labrador), so I was very nervous to be out all day! Sophie was lovely at the meet and greet, you could tell immediately that she loves dogs (and they love her back) - the updates throughout the booking were very reassuring, and all of the instructions we left for curtains being shut, key being posted and the kitchen light being left on were bang on! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
