About: Dog owner from childhood that has extended into adulthood. Currently have a 11yr old Staffy x Lab which I have had since she was 8 weeks old. Passionate about animals, also a horse owner and I love the outdoors and long walks. Pet care fits into my daily life well. I live a 5 minute walk from Morecambe promenade. Plenty of walking available in the surrounding villages and towns. I am a nurse who is lucky enough to have a flexible rotation. So have plenty of opportunities to work both as a nurse and a dog sitter. Pets that come to stay follow the same routine as they would in their normal environment. Home from home experience. About: I’ve grown up with dogs since being tiny always having a family dogs. I’ve had a range of breeds and currently have my own puppy Labrador and my family have 4 dachshunds which I lived with and looked after before I moved into my own home. I currently work full time as a A&E nurse. I work 13 hour shifts and usually have 4 days off a week I can come and visit your dog. I get my rota 2 months in advance so can give plenty of notice on my free days. I live in a fully fenced off garden which I let my puppy play in. I will never take your dog off the lead unless instructed to.

I have a fenced, 7 acre fellside garden (I live on an old farm), so in addition to twice daily walks there is also plenty of space for walking and running about throughout the day. My own dog is very chilled and has no problems with other dogs. My house is very dog friendly, lying on the furniture is fine, I also have a large crate I no longer use which can be used for dogs who need it.

“Don and Jen have provided the best possible care for our dog Rupert whilst we were on holiday. It’s the first time we’ve left him with someone other that family, so we were apprehensive but we wouldn’t hesitate to use Don again. Don ensured Rupert was comfortable, happy and well looked after, giving him plenty of walks, playtime and attention. We felt at ease leaving Rupert with them, having regular updates and seeing him settled was very reassuring, the photos of Rupert on the beach with the Morecambe Bay sunset behind are keepers. When Rupert developed a sore patch, we were updated daily with photos about how he was doing, they applied creams, administered tablets and kept the area clean. Thank you for going above and beyond. We have no doubt that this option was the right one for us and Rupert, compared to kennels and dog hotels and we would recommend Don to others who are looking for a lovely place for their dog to have a holiday of their own! “I am always a little concerned leaving Lola with anyone. As she didn't have a good start in life. I had a very good feeling on our first meeting with Ian and Tracy. I immediately felt at ease as they clearly experienced and comfortable with dogs. They have two dogs of their own and Lola was happy to be with them. I always feel a little nervous and guilty when we go away. So to have someone like Ian and Tracy who reassures you, that she will be well looked after, gives you peace of mind. Excellent communication received, with regular updates and photos, this all helped us. Lola had lots of walks and play time, she was very happy and relaxed when we picked her up. ` I will definitely be using Ian and Tracy again. I highly recommend them for dog boarding.
