Absolute star. My Cat can be a bit standoffish but from the regular upgrades I received, it sounded like they got on well. Id definitely book again with Libby, and recommend her to others.

About: I'm experienced in caring for both cats and dogs, and especially passionate about giving excellent care to older and/or medically complex pets. I love the wide variety in cat behaviour, whether they are happiest just existing in the same room, or sitting on my lap, I am always happy to take care of them. While I love all types of dogs, I'm best suited to dogs with less intensive exercise needs, such as smaller breeds or elder dogs. To give more information about my experience taking care of animals, I began with taking care of my neighbour's cat when they went on holiday. Even once her owners were back from holiday, we got into a routine where the cat would wait on the front doorstep every day for me to give her chin scritches. My interest in taking care of medically complex pets comes from personal experience, as my family dog suffered a spinal cord injury a few years ago. Luckily, after excellent vet care, he has an excellent quality of life and is very happy, just with shorter walks than before and regular pain-management medication. I'm very happy to take care of pets that need a little extra attention and support, whether that is with medication, toileting, pain management, and anything else your pet needs support with. I'm most comfortable house-sitting, as this guarantees your pet will receive love and care whenever they need it. I can also travel for drop-in visits and walks. I'll probably ask a lot of questions just to make sure their is minimal disruption to your pets regular lifestyle, and will of course send plenty of updates and photos while taking care of them. I'm currently focusing on petsitting, alongside occasional crochet commissions. This gives me full flexibility to work within your pets' usual routine, and dedicate as much time as they need to be happy, healthy and comfortable. I will care for your pets as you do! It depends upon the individual pet and their usual routine - whether it's a cat that roams as they wish, a dog that has specific walk times, or anything in between. I trust that you know what is best for your pet, and will always to my best to minimise any disruption to their usual routine and lifestyle. I understand that some pets can find it stressful to be taken care of by a new person, and am always happy to do home visits ahead of your trip so that we can make sure that I am the right person to take care of your pet. I am also insured as a petsitter and dog walker, should any incidents occur. For safety reasons, I prefer to provide my own lead for walks - I will bring this along to a meet and greet so that we can check it's comfortable for your dog.

On my walks, all the dogs are treated like my own. They are all spoilt with treats (if allowed) and lots of attention. My walks are a perfect way for your dogs to socialise with other dogs which is very important. You can find from my walks that some range from quiet strolls to adventurous walks/runs, depending on your dogs capability. All dogs are paired carefully 😊

About: I have taken care of both my own dogs and other peoples for 10 years, I also have experience in cat sitting and have previously owned Guinea pigs. Throughout my time looking after dogs I have dealt with both senior and puppies making me well suited to accommodate the specific needs of individual dogs. I am currently studying at university and have plenty of time both to walk dogs and make home visits, as well as overnight stays so am very flexible in terms of how many hours I can work as well as when those hours are. Both at home and in another pet owners home I make sure that Gates leading out of the property are properly shut so that all pets remain safe. I also make sure that the needs of all pets including food, water and attention are met so that the pets in question are not only well looked after but are also happy.

About: Although I don’t currently have any pets (I blame my landlord); growing up, I shared my house with two big dogs and three cats - With a busy family, I was relied on to walk, feed, bathe and cuddle them all ☺️ I work full time as a community support worker in York. I can usually be available any time throughout the week after 5pm. I have every evening free as well as weekends. Any time I’m not in work, I’m more than happy to help out. Due to my landlord, he won’t let animals into my own apartment 🙄 I would be more than willing to sneak them in however I fear the worst so it’s maybe best that I come to you instead!

Jason is a lovely guy, very friendly and looking after people's fur babies are obviously a passion for him. He did an absolutely fantastic job looking after my cat Charlie. He spent time with Charlie to play with him and give him attention which was really appreciated. The photos and videos at each visit were great and the messages for each visit letting me know exactly how Charlie was doing. It was very reassuring knowing that Charlie was being looked after so well whilst we were away. I'll most certainly be booking Jason when we have our next trip away. Definitely a 5 star review!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs all my life which has made me become very fin of all animals and created a passion for animals and I’d love if I could always be around animals and take care of the and give the the love the deserve. Currently I have two big dogs who I love and adore and I can’t wait to meet many other different kinds of dogs and cats. I’m currently studying at Lancaster University, however my schedule is not very busy at the moment so I would love to use my spare time to help others and care for their animals. I’m very experienced with dogs of all breeds and could manage any issues I may or may not encounter. I love playing with dogs so I would be very content looking after playful dogs who need a lot of attention. I also enjoy going on walks by myself but having a dog there would make it even better! I’m confident that I can manage and be attentive to any breed and any personality a dog may have. I’m good at reading animals body language to understand if they’re nervous, uncomfortable or unsure and would do my best to take them out the situation that was maybe causing them to feel such a way.

About: Growing up with dogs, and helping out friends and family with walking theirs, I've spent a lot of time learning how to look after different dogs - of different breeds, and very different personalities. I've loved dogs since I was a child, (my first word was dog! 😂) and love spending time with them - so would love to help you and your pet out! I have quite a flexible schedule as a student - only having a few hours a week where I have to be on campus, so anytime around my lectures works perfectly! And I'm always happy to figure out what times are best for you and your pets The safety of a pet is always my top priority. I will never let your dog off leash unless they are in an enclosed area, or I am certain that they will listen to me recalling them. Anytime I am with your pet, they will have my complete, undivided attention, to ensure I am looking after them to the best of my ability. I'll send you update photos/videos as frequently as you request, and consistently let you know how you pet is doing, and where we're walking. I'll ask quite a few questions before meeting your pet, to ensure I care for them to the best of my ability, and follow and instructions or boundaries you give without fail.

About: I’ve had pets since I was 8. As soon as I had the chance to walk my neighbour dog I realised is a nice way to fill my spare time. I only work a couple of hours a day so I’ve got plenty of time to do some walks, housesitting or even go to the vet if necessary. I can teach your pet easy and basic commands, I can play with them in the park and also I do like to do long-walks with them

I can’t recommend Sarah enough! She looked after my two cats while I was away, and came back to some very happy cats. She kept me updated with how each visit went and included pictures which I very much appreciated. She even went above and beyond and brought in a package of cat litter that got left infront of the house. Thank you very much Sarah, I will absolutely be using your services again and recommending you to my friends with pets,

Linda has been absolutely amazing. She gave so much care and attention to all of our elderly cat’s needs and eccentricities, ensuring he got all of his meds and plenty of time for strokes. We were a bit worried about leaving our cat in the hands of a stranger, especially as he has additional health needs, but Linda treated him like he was one of our own and we were able to see him contentedly purring in the videos she sent during her visits, leaving us free to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing he was in safe hands. I highly recommend Linda, and would definitely use her services again.

It was in the initial meeting that i knew Beatrice was the perfect person to look after a rather nervous cat who would be feeling lonely when i went on holiday. She was great in learning what was needed and i know that in her 30 minute visits, my cat would have got a huge amount of 'tlc'. It was great to receive a video during my time away. The end of my holiday was thrown into total chaos due to severe weather in Europe, airport closures and flight cancellations. However, Beatrice willingly stepped in with anything extra which was needed until i could return home. The wonderful thing is that when i go away again, i will be asking Beatrice to look after my cat in full knowledge of the superb care and attention my 'fluffy friend' will get!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 208 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Lancaster. About 92% of Lancaster sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
