I'm an academic that has just graduated with a PhD from Lancaster Uni. I do teaching here and there throughout the week, and in between I'm writing academic journal articles for publication. This means that I am free most of the week, and when not teaching at the uni I can work wherever I need to be!

Information Matthew H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special needs ahead of time, and any careful instructions about administering medication. Also, please let me know any behavioral issues that your pet might have in advance, just so I can prepare accordingly.
A typical day
I love a long walk, so if there's time and they are up to it I'll be exploring all the local natural areas and spaces with your favourite pooch. I'll take with us their favourite toys and all the water and snacks they need to make their walks as enjoyable for them as it is for me. I also love to engage with the animals as much as they will allow me, playing with toys, learning new tricks, and if they're a regular with me I can even engage in some behavioral training (or not if they'd rather be left alone!).

Pet care experience
I grew up with 2 wonderful dogs, who I still miss to this day (they never really leave you, do they?). I am extremely dog-centric; I say hello to all the dogs, I'm the first people friends call when they need a dog-sitter. I am an ace walker - your dog will get ALL the walks (if they need them!). I'm happy to care for all ages, breeds and sizes of hounds - not just happy, but honoured to!

Matt and Zoe are the tag team of dreams. They had our show cocker Cassie for the first time this week and she just loved it there. She got some amazing walks, treats and lots of attention and by the time her daycare had come to an end, she sulked because she didn't want to leave! All the signs of a good experience. Zoe and Matt are really lovely, accommodating and were kind enough to let us visit them beforehand so we could see where she would be etc. communication was also top tier. Couldn't recommend them enough! ✨🥰
Very happy little dog, lovely videos of him on the beach
Matt and Zoe took great care of Molli and sent regular updates, so we knew she was OK and having a good time while we were away. Matt and Zoe were very attentive and spent a lot of time with Molli, taking her with them to various places so she wasn't lonely or bored. We'll definitely be using them again whenever we need a dog sitter, would highly recommend!
Matt was awesome with Bruce, he sent me video clips and pictures during the day. Bruce seemed to absolutely love it, came home in a really great mood. Matt seems to be really good with dogs, he clearly loves them. Bruce had a ball, and I can’t thank or recommend Matt enough.
