About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life—from Cavapoos to Corgis to Wheaten Terriors to Doodles, to Boxers! I’ve also had the pleasure of having a Goldendoodle of my own as well! My sweet pup was in an accident and required lots of specific care such as wound care and medication administration for many months. I am a very patient and dedicated pet sitter and will treat your pet like my own. I’ll keep them safe, make sure they get the attention they need, and assure that you get the updates you crave while away from your bestie. I absolutely love animals and I also know how challenging it can be to have peace of mind while maintaining your life responsibilities outside of your furry friends—I hope to have the opportunity to take that stress off of your plate! I’m currently in grad school for Speech Language Pathology (classes are online until January 2027) and work per diem at the hospital. I have two shifts per week serving at a restaurant in Portland as well, they are typically 6-8 hour shifts so if booked for an overnight, there may be a day or two that I am away for that amount of time! Otherwise, my schedule is super flexible and perfect for that mid day potty and play break! Safety is first! You tell me how you like things to go in your home and what makes your pet the most comfortable and I’ll make sure it happens! Let me know if your pet has any anxieties in public and I’ll keep in mind ways to keep them happy and calm on walkies!

About: I’ve been dog-walking and pet sitting for several years now! I love spending time with dogs and am having to go for runs or the beach with them, or just relax at home! I’m a second year medical student, so happy to sit for pets in the evenings, as well as provide breaks during the day! I’m typically most open on the weekends but am open to weekdays as well. I will follow directions closely and respect your home like it is my home! I like to do frequent check-ins and am happy to do a meet and greet beforehand.

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, and especially love taking dogs on walks where they get to lead with their noses. I wish I could get a pet right now but since I can’t, I love helping out other pet owners to get my dog and cat fix! I just moved to Portland and am applying for work in conservation and/or education, so have a very open schedule as I continue my job search. I am usually gone on weekends out in the woods somewhere, but am around the city on weekdays! I cannot host pets in my home, but will happily visit your home and make sure to follow all pet care instructions you leave for me!

Annie recently started taking my dog for regular walks. My dog is very shy around new people, and at first she was wary, but Annie has gained her trust. Annie is sweet, patient, and a responsible dog sitter. She has my recommendation for sure!

About: I am an animal lover who has a flexible schedule! In my free time I would love to hang with your pets while you are at work, running errands or are away. I am currently in grad student so my schedule is flexible! Whether that be walking your dog in between or after class and/or checking in on your kitty I am flexible. About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have had three dogs and two cats over the years. I’m currently raising a golden retriever puppy with my family and absolutely love spending time with dogs. Friends have always trusted me to watch their pets while they’re out of town because they know I treat every animal like family. I’m the kind of person who stops people on the street just to ask if I can pet their dog. Caring for animals genuinely makes me happy, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability to give your pets the attention, care, walks, and love they deserve. I care for every pet like my own, always putting their safety, comfort, and happiness first. I stay alert on walks, careful around other dogs, people, traffic, and our surroundings to make sure pets feel safe and secure at all times. I also have a fenced yard for safe play and experience caring for and crate training puppies since I currently have 2 dogs.

About: John and I are responsible, attentive dog lovers. We both grew up with dogs (medium/large and small breed) and have not had a work travel schedule that is conducive for having one of our own, yet! We've collectively dog sat many different breeds over the past few years including coonhounds, heelers, pitbulls, retrievers, and shepherd mixes. We are comfortable with all sizes of dogs and love to go on long walks or short runs to tucker them out! We are comfortable giving medicine on a schedule if needed and accommodating specific needs around meal time, reactive dogs on walks, etc. We both work remotely full time (~9-5). We are both home all day and can easily accommodate varying meal times/routines. Morning walks, mid day walks, after work walks are all possible with our schedules. We have a dog safe home with a fenced-in backyard . We dogsit so often for friends that we have puppy proofed everything, just like we had to with our dogs growing up!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have always considered pets part of the family. I grew up with dogs and currently spend lots of time with our family’s high-energy Blue Heeler mix, who keeps me active and reminds me how much enrichment, exercise, and attention dogs need to thrive. I’m also a lifelong cat lover. My 19-year-old cat recently passed away after many years together, and during his final years I provided extensive care, including managing daily medications and supporting him through several medical needs. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need a little extra patience and attention. I currently volunteer walking dogs at the Animal Welfare Society, where I love getting to know dogs with all different personalities and energy levels. I especially enjoy working with active breeds who need extra exercise, mental stimulation, and adventure. If you have a high-energy dog who loves walks, exploring, or getting outside, I’d love to help! I’m happy to provide everything from neighborhood walks and drop-in visits to longer adventures like day hikes for dogs who are ready for a little more activity. I work full-time, so my availability is focused around evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled visits. I am available for overnight stays in your home, and I’m happy to provide cat sitting, drop-in visits, and care for pets who benefit from a little extra attention while you’re away. For dogs, I offer walks and visits during my available times, with a special love for active dogs who need exercise and enrichment. Weekends and holidays are great opportunities for longer walks, outdoor adventures, and extra quality time. I’m committed to providing dependable, thoughtful care that fits your pet’s routine and helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re away from their family. I will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and their preferred ways of receiving attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I understand that maintaining their familiar environment and routine is often the most comforting option. I will treat your home with respect and provide updates so you know how your pet is doing. For pets staying in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment and tailor their experience to their individual personality. Cats will have a quiet space to settle in and, depending on their comfort level and my availability, can have supervised access to explore and interact. When I’m away, I prioritize safety by providing a secure, comfortable area where they can relax.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies who need structure and playtime to senior pups who require patience and gentle care. What sets me apart is my focus on making each dog feel safe, loved, and at home, whether that means long walks, belly rubs, or sticking to their exact routine. I’m reliable, attentive, and quick to notice changes in behavior or needs, which gives pet parents peace of mind. If your dog needs medication, extra exercise, or just a little extra snuggle time, I’m happy to provide it. Every dog has their own personality, and I love tailoring my care to make sure they’re comfortable and happy. I am currently in medical school so my schedule is busy but with plenty of time free on the weekends! I have full days (8am-6pm) Monday and Friday, but only brief afternoon classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and would love to spend my non-class time with a pup! I am additionally free any time on weekends as my weekends mainly entail staying at home to study. I am currently unable to offer pet care in my apartment. I live in an apartment building that is not pet friendly. I am able to travel wherever is needed!

About: I have worked in a high end Inn doing dog massage and dog sitting. I have worked privately dog and cat sitting over the years. I enjoy the various individual personalities of peoples pets. I also know what a great relief it is to know a pet is in good hands as my own pets are my family members. Speaking of good hands I also do reiki and can help calm your pet. I am a lover of all animals. I have an intuition of what animals need and want. I am knowledgeable in feeding your pet a healthy diet as I have read a lot of information on feeding your pet holistically. I am a compassionate, gentle kind pet owner. I believe in treating all animals with that kindness and dignity. I’m currently working part time so there’s plenty of time in my day to care for your four legged family member. I sincerely enjoy having time for fresh air walks and pet sitting aka getting to know your pet and having some fun together. attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I usually care for pets in their own homes as I have my own cat at my home. I am a hands on person who believes animals deserve the utmost best treatment as they provide so much to us as humans.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
