“Claudia and Jason were wonderful with Lawson! They kept me updated throughout the day with plenty of pictures and details about their activities. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and they made sure Lawson was comfortable the entire time. I would absolutely recommend them to friends!”

“I’m so happy we found Sergey at the last minute. My two dogs stayed with Sergey’s for six nights. They came home tired, happy, and clean. Sergey was extremely flexible with our timing when our travel was delayed. I would not hesitate to recommend Sergey as a pet sitter.”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. Spending time with animals truly makes me happy, and I would love to give your dog the same love, attention, and care that I would give my own. I’ve looked after dogs in my home and understand that every pet is unique. Some dogs love long walks and playtime, while others just want a quiet companion nearby. I’ll happily follow your dog’s routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. What really sets me apart is how much I genuinely care. I pay close attention to the little details, carefully follow your instructions, and treat every pet like family. I’ll also send regular photos and updates, so you’ll always know your furry friend is happy and well cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pet. I’m available for afternoon walks during the week, as well as boarding. Your dog will have regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. I always do my best to follow your pet’s usual schedule, so they feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. My home is a safe, pet-friendly environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. They will have plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. . My children are older. They’re gentle and respectful, and they’ll happily play with your dog if that’s something your dog enjoys. I’ll also send regular photo updates, so you’ll always know your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Justin was fantastic! He was able to take my pup on short notice and did an amazing job. My dog had 5 different daily medications and Justin handled it with amazing care and communication. Highly recommend Justin for your next Rover!”

“Stout enjoyed his visit with Simon. He was flexible about us changing our plans too. He was able to add extra dates which helped us enormously. Thank you!!”

“Emily and Kieran were so great with Chewy! I met with them and Leon leading up to the booking which was great so that our dogs met ahead of time. They sent periodic updates which was awesome and put me at ease. It was a wonderful first experience using Rover.”

“Christine was a lovely host for Bode’s week of summer camp. She was quick to reply, lovely to speak with, but most importantly seemed to really care about Bode’s wellbeing and happiness. She has a huge fenced in yard that he had free reign to, and a lovely in ground pool. We will absolutely book with her again!”

“Marna did a fantastic job with our two senior chihuahuas. It was evident that they were happy and well cared for while they stayed with her. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and would most definitely rebook in the future!”

“Our dog, Maggie was happy with Abigail and Neil. They sent a few photos. She has a lot of energy and I'm sure she kept their dog, Molly busy. I appreciate them allowing Maggie to roam free in their home and on furniture.”

“Katherine did an amazing job with Boone. He was well rested and not anxious at all when I picked him up. She was very flexible and communicative during his stay. I was very happy!”

“John is amazing. Our little Arlo is afraid of everyone (except John) He almost didn’t want to come home with us. He took such good care of him. He will always be my go-to. One thing, your pup may be lackluster the next day from the exercise he got and missing John.”

“Kelly was a great sitter for my dog, was very caring and patient and made him feel at home. He likes a lot of attention and she was great with him and sent daily updates. I highly recommend Kelly!”

“Sri could not have cared for Murphy better! She sent us daily updates with photos and videos. They went on walks and played daily and it was evident that Sri loved Murphy as her own. We feel so lucky and greatly appreciate Sri!”

“Brittany agreed to watch my dog super last minute and was SO sweet with him! She house sat for me and left it spotless. I wish she’d sent more photo updates, but overall a great experience! :)”

“Hank and his mom Rachel were such a blast for our dog Bode to stay with. He had a great week of playtime, couch time, and what looked like hours of dog parkour. We will absolutely be sending Bode back.”

“After our meet & greet, Shorty was so happy to go back to Vicky & Bobby's, he couldn't wait to get out of the car. They have a great house & awesome back yard perfect for dogs. Their dogs Magic & Brooklyn were great with Shorty, & he sometimes has problems with new dogs. Vicky sent me great pics every & really put my mind at ease, seeing Shorty livin the doggy life. Vicky even brought Shorty to work with her at the pet hospital where she works & I know he loved that. Travis, Bobby's brother was also really great & Shorty warmed up to him right away. Shorty is used to sleeping on the bed & they allowed that, and also figured out something yummy for him to eat when he wouldn't. I highly endorse Vicky & Bobby, & Shorty's looking forward to his next vacay!”

“Molly took incredible care of our senior dog for 6 nights and 7 days. She communicated thoroughly, sent pictures, and loved on our dog like she was one of her own. Thanks so much Molly!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Portland
Gracie had a wonderful time with Emily and Kieran. They kept us informed twice a day on how she was doing, sending updates and photos. They have a small fenced in yard and many areas nearby to walk. Their dog, Leon, is very friendly, and loved to share his toys with Gracie. Highly recommended!
Avital was an amazing sitter for our 11yo dog. They checked in with us regularly and sent photos everyday. Our dog required daily medications from a recent surgery and Avital was super comfortable with this. This was our first time using Rover and we were nervous going into it, but Avital quickly made us feel comfortable leaving our girl with them. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Brittany took care of Miki in my home for 2 nights. She left the house clean and tidy and Miki was her cheerful, happy self when I came home. It would be good to double check Brittany's schedule with her in advance. It turned out that she was not able to be there at the appointed time when I left, nor at the time when I came home. She said that Miki was only left alone for an hour each time. There was good communication.

Claudia and Jason (Ilan) were amazing with our pup! He has some anxiety about new people and places and they moved at his pace. It’s obvious that they have a lot of experience working with dogs and genuinely care about them! They always made sure he was comfortable, happy, and had enough exercise. They sent lots of adorable photos and updates and quickly assured us that he was in the best hands while we were away. We will definitely reach out to them for future dog sitting!!

Josh was an incredible dog watcher for Whistler. He went above and beyond, including taking her to our wedding so that she could be our ring bearer. He also took her to the lake and she had an absolute blast with his other two dogs. He was attentive, loving, and sent us pictures all the time of her adventure with Josh!

Jill was so good with my dog Louie. She kept me up to date on how he was doing, with photos and some funny videos. She was flexible as best she could be about drop off and pick up. She was very conscious of Louie’s safety and health, taking excellent care of him. Louie loved her and felt right at home. I will definitely leave my dog with her again. Thank you, Jill
