About: Caring, energetic, dog lover available for walks, general care and companionship either at owners home or at my place with a fenced-in yard. The dog pictured is my son’s who I take care of from time to time but is not in the house when I dog sit. I use Rover when I need support for him. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. I cannot speak highly enough of Viva and the exceptional care she provides for my dog Rosie. Rosie spends a few days per week with Viva and I am continually grateful for the knowledge that she will be safe, active, and loved when I can’t be with her myself. In the many photos Viva sends every day I can see Rosie living her best life, loving the friends she gets to play with and the adventures they take around the area. In addition to all the pictures, I appreciate Viva’s flexibility and stellar communication. Michelle did a great job making sure my cavalier, Joy, was cared for and content. Joy spent her time having fun in the backyard, then coming in for a rest, then back out again, all in the company of Michelle's sweet dog.
