Doggy Day Care in South Portland

“We used David when traveling to Portland so we could spend the days doing activities that wouldn't allow dogs. We have only used a sitter once in the past so I was a bit nervous, but had nothing to worry about. David's home was super easy to get to from downtown and he kept us updated with photos throughout the day and very responsive. This was my first time using rover and I love the "Report card" at the end of the day regarding potty breaks and walk details. I wouldn't hesitate to leave our pup with David in the future should we ever return to Portland!”

“We had a wonderful experience leaving our dog Willow with Alma! She was very communicative before and during the booking which always makes the Rover process feel easier and more reassuring. Alma’s dog, Birdy, is super sweet as well. Willow seemed comfortable right away and according to Alma settled in more as the day went on. Great yard, deck for doggie lounging and overall set up from the house (super easy to see the yard from most parts of the downstairs). We will definitely book again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes since I was a teenager. I love getting outside with them and know that a well walked and properly stimulated dog is also a happy and well behaved dog. I also love taking pictures of them so you can be sure to receive regular updates on your pal. Depending on your dogs diet, I love to get creative with things like meal toppers and stimulating treats (shaved carrots, peanut butter, unsalted bone broth etc.)! I work from home so pet sitting allows me to have a buddy for my walks and be attentive to the dog in my care :) For boarding, your dog will have a designated open area for their bed/crate where they can hang. Pets are welcome on furniture, but I’m happy to abide by whatever rules you have at home for consistency.

“Teddy had a blast at Janet's! Janet has a large fenced-in back yard, which was great for Teddy, as we were visiting from out of state and Teddy doesn't get to run freely staying at a hotel. Janet was so kind to wipe Teddy down after getting a bit muddy in the backyard. Ollie is very sweet and got along great with Teddy. We'd love for Teddy to get some playtime with Ollie again in the near future!! Thank you Janet!”

Many times he watched , walked and took care of my many beloved dogs over the years whenever I went away for a night or a weekend and couldn’t take them with me . About: I have been around dogs for my whole life and am comfortable with all aspects of caring for pets. I enjoy walking but I will do whatever I can to make your pet happy. I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I work full time but I am free on the weekends and during the week after 5pm. There are no pets in my home so all pets are welcome, but I prefer to stay where the pet is most comfortable. Wherever works for me!
