“Alma is amazing with my (initially) timid pup, Gambler! He warmed up to her quickly, and he had a great time playing with her dog and going for pack walks in the neighborhood. I got pictures and updates throughout the day, which made me feel comfortable and reassured that he was adjusting to the new environment. He always comes home happy and tired, which is perfect!”

“Marna is just wonderful with our little dog. Marna is conscientious and kind . She is great at keeping us updated with posts and pictures. We highly recommend her.”

“Emily and Kieran took a very good care of our dog! They were very accomodating even on the last minute notice, and were very flexible on the timing, which we really appreciate :) They took Ohsam out for a walk several times, gave lots of loves and cuddles. I can see Ohsam had a great time with the family! Would recommend them during our next visit in Portland. Thank you!!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of every kind for over 15 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed, and play with their pets while they're away — and I've also hosted dogs in my own home for extended stays. I've cared for dogs with special dietary needs, including meal prepping and cooking homemade meals. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, so I have a deep understanding of animal behavior, routines, and what makes them feel safe and happy. I currently own a pet pig, so I'm very familiar with the unique needs of different animals. Whether your pet needs extra attention, a specific feeding schedule, or just lots of love and play, I'm your person. I'm a full-time online student with a very flexible schedule, so I'm home most of the day and available to give your pet plenty of attention. I'm available for boarding, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the week, including weekends. I can easily work around your pet's routine and accommodate last-minute requests. I live in a cozy home in Portland's West End at the end of a quiet, private dead-end road with a semi-fenced grassy yard. On nice days, I spend a lot of time outside with my pet pig, Notta, who is gentle and loves dogs and cats — she has many furry friends already! There's also a leash hookup with range of the whole yard for added safety. Your pet will get plenty of one-on-one attention and supervised care. I'm happy to follow any specific routines, dietary needs, or medication schedules your pet requires, and I'll send regular photo and video updates so you always know your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Lindsay is fantastic. She has been a lifesaver with our new pup. He always comes home happy and tired, and Lindsay always gives great updates so I know exactly how our pup has been throughout the day. I couldn’t recommend her more.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for my whole life! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds, cats, cows, and chickens. Walking dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I have worked for a dog walking company for the past 3 years. Also, I have worked on multiple farms where I’ve cared for farm animals and dogs/cats. I will care for your pet as if they were my own! I’m working a remote part-time job which leaves me with plenty of time to walk dogs throughout the day and in the evening. Additionally, I have a very flexible schedule on the weekends. If I am caring for your pet in your home I will make sure to follow whatever schedule you have for them. I will take them out to play often and give them lots of love.

About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.
“Our pup was very happy at Kylie’s house. It was totally puppy-proof, she was attentive to our dog’s needs and she was easy to communicate with. Kylie and John seem like great people and we would be happy to use them again sometime.”

About: Hello! My name is Julianne. I first joined Rover in 2018 but am only just starting to actively use it now (2026). I do not have any pets myself yet, but I love animals and a lot of my close friends and family have dogs. I have ~5 years of experience with pet sitting, house sitting, and walking dogs. I work full time from home, so I am able to hang out with your pup all day. My job is very flexible with me taking breaks when needed, so I will have plenty of opportunities to take your pup out for walks or bathroom breaks. My space is quiet, clean, and safe. I work from home and would love the extra company. I do not have any pets myself. I live with a close friend and she also does not have any pets, but she is very dog friendly.
“I was nervous a little at first, having a dog is new to me. Coco immediately took to Jules, so much so that she didn’t even care that we were leaving. Jules had her own dog and Coco and her immediately clicked too. Coco was very well taken care of. If I’m ever in the area I would not hesitate to reach out. My puppy was safe and happy, I’m so glad I tried this service!”
“Andrew is a true gem! We flew in for a weekend of family events and Andrew picked up our standard poodle and took great care of him! I felt very secure that Jasper was in good hands!”
