About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine it any other way. I’ve had pets since I was born and grew up with dogs, always taking an active role in their care—feeding, bathing, walking, running with them, and, most importantly, loving them. Over the years, I’ve also cared for pets belonging to neighbors, friends, and siblings while they were out of town, giving me experience with a wide range of routines and personalities. Although I couldn’t have cats growing up due to allergies in my household, I’ve always loved them and spent lots of time with friends’ and neighbors’ cats, frequently cat‑sitting whenever I had the chance. These experiences helped me learn to respect and understand cats’ boundaries and individual comfort levels. During undergrad, I adopted my first cat, and after moving to Portland, Maine, I welcomed a second so my older cat could have a companion. Living with cats has given me a deep appreciation for their unique personalities and needs. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including pets with special diets, medications, medical needs, or shy personalities. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress‑free as possible. While you’re away, you can also expect plenty of photo updates, because I know how reassuring it is to see how your furry family member is doing. I work completely remotely as a Communications Specialist for The American Chestnut Foundation, which gives me a great deal of flexibility in my day‑to‑day schedule. Because of this, I’m able to plan my work around pet care needs and be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m comfortable working alongside pets and spending extended time with them, whether that means keeping a cat company, being around for a dog who doesn’t like being alone, or making sure medications, walks, and meals happen right on schedule. I’m happy to accommodate whatever routine your pet is used to. You can expect consistent care, plenty of attention, and lots of updates while you’re away. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routines. I find this helps reduce stress and allows me to give more personalized, attentive care. While in your home, I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and quiet companionship. I’m comfortable spending extended time with pets, including working remotely while keeping them company if that’s helpful for your pet. I also make sure your home is treated with respect and left just as I found it. For dogs, I’m happy to take them on walks in your neighborhood or nearby outdoor areas, following any preferences you have for routes, pacing, or training needs. My goal is to provide safe, consistent, and loving care that fits seamlessly into your pet’s daily life.

About: Middle-school teacher with extra time (and love) over the summer. New to Rover, but not to pet sitting! My primary experience is with my two cats, Norman (8yo) and Bucky (2yo), but I have been helping watch pets for family, friends, and neighbors in southern Maine for the past 8 years. I'm a middle-school teacher on summer break with plenty of extra time/love. I can be flexible with times/specific preferences and am open to all days of the week. I am caring, knowledgeable, and tidy and will treat your pets + space with the utmost respect and care. Drop-ins will be for 30 minutes unless longer is requested and agreed upon. “I definitely recommend Catey, particularly if your quadrupedal babes tend toward anxiety or need confident medication administration. This is the first sitter I've ever hired who wasn't already familiar with my cats and our home. I was nervous because of my boys needs medicated eye drops every 12 hours, which isn't his favorite thing by far, and he also generally takes a while to get comfortable with new people. Catey's super calm and solid demeanor was evident from the get-go, and this helped my boy a lot. Meds went off without a problem. Everything that needed doing for both cats was done, and my boys were chill as can be when I returned home. Catey was also super communicative and seemed like a solid, kind person in general. About: i have taken care of a lab and a sweet tortie cat throughout my life! i have also walked/fed/sat for several pets in the past for neighbors, including single dogs and cats, and multiple cats. I am recently graduated from college and am looking to fill my free time! About: I've grown up with cats and dogs, and love spending time with them. I like to go for long walks, play with pets, or just hangout and keep them company. Also love art, and can paint a watercolor or acrylic portrait of your pet, if you like! I'm currently working full time from 8-4:30, but have plenty of time in the evenings! Also, most Wednesdays and Fridays I work from home, so I can help out during the day if I'm in your area. I will care for your pet in your home in accordance with whatever rules you follow, whether that's keeping them in certain areas and off furniture, or giving them plenty of freedom to run around and cuddle.

About: Animal lover with flexible schedule, calm and patient energy. I'm very active so available for long walks or runs! Always attentive to details and specifics for each pet in my care. I'm a full-time creative (painter and graphic designer), so I enjoy setting my own schedule and can easily accommodate to your pet's needs during various times of day. I can work remotely and this allows me to be available more often. I am comfortable learning each pet's needs in their home environments, and adjusting to what makes them feel most comfortable. About: I’ve dogsat for family friends and grown up with animals. At home in Florida I have 3 Great Danes (one that I show professionally) so I am very familiar with animal behavior. Currently I live in an apartment by myself! I’m currently working full time, but my schedule is the same every week and I am able to work around my schedule to dogsit. I usually have nights off and am available to stay anywhere overnight and have reliable transportation. I feel as though caring for animals when they are without their parents is very important. Making sure they are fed, let out, properly exercised and played with and loved.

Meagan showed up for the meet and greet and I could just tell my Ammadeus would be in good hands. She was so sweet and spent a good amount of time at each visit making sure she gave my 13 yo Shih tzu extra cuddles and Loved on him not just a quick in and out. About: I have been caring for my cat Minou for about 3 years now. Outside of my experience with her, I help to take care of my parent's dogs back in upstate NY! We have always had dogs, and I will help to feed them, take them on walks, take them to vet appointments, and take them outside. We recently adopted a rescue named Luna, and I have been helping to care for her which has been an absolute blast! For the remainder of May and the month of June, I am free every day! Come July, I will be a 3rd year medical student, so my availability is primarily limited to weekends. We could always discuss a check in, or short walk for your animals on weekdays, but my schedule is a bit unpredictable in terms of when I am let out. Ensuring the safety of your loved ones is my utmost priority, and I would always be sure to follow instructions on how you would like for me to care for them so that all parties can feel safe and supported.

About: In the past, I had a Rottweiler German Shepherd mix who was 100lbs. His name was Huckleberry. I loved taking him on walks, grooming/brushing him, and giving him lots of pets. My friends also hired me to take care of their dogs who ranged in different breeds and sizes. I also love taking pictures of all animals. You're sure to get some pretty pictures of your pooch! I am currently working part-time at The Maine Mall and have some free time to help out as much of the Portland dog loving community as possible. Dogs make me happy and feel good about what I do! I make sure your pet(s) are cared for by giving them plenty of water on walks, making sure they are not acting out of the norm (panting heavily/having heat exhaustion). I was working at a veterinary hospital in Chicagoland, so I feel confident at making sure your dog is well taken care of, kept hydrated, fed well, and that all the normal everyday tasks (peeing, pooping, breathing) are being well monitored. I will also send pictures/videos if I suspect something is not right/concerning. I hope to take care of your cute pooch soon!

About: I have cared for dogs and cats for most of my life. I have experience walking multiple dogs around my neighborhood, and staying overnight with dogs to provide 24 hour care. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and love getting to know each unique personality. I have cared for households of up to 6 cats and am well versed in tending to all their needs, including administering medications. I think the best way to succeed as a sitter is to take time to understand the animal and establish trust! I have complete availability this summer and can care for animals days and nights, seven days a week! I am open to working with multiple pets each day depending on their needs. I have two cats at home which are primarily indoor. I have experience walking dogs on and off leash. While I don’t have a fenced in yard at home, I would love to bring your pups to a dog park or play with them in your backyard. Keeping my eye on pets while outside, to ensure safety is my biggest priority. I am comfortable crating your dog at the end of our play date!

About: I have always loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid! I have been around dogs since I was little and I live with a cat now! I would adore taking your furry friend for a walk or checking up on your cat when you are away. I am currently trying to fit dog walking into my schedule in the mornings before my job starts (STARTING IN MAY). I can also check up on your furry friend in the evening. I am also building my online business so days I am not at my other job are more flexible! I am very good at directions and pay attention to details. I will follow the directions left by the owners when doing a check in! I listen to the pet, and if they are not so sure of me, I let them come to me (especially with cats!) And of course there will be lots of pets!

About: I have a dog of my own and have been dog sitting for friends for years. I’m not afraid to give meds and clean up messes. More than happy to help :) Unfortunately , I’m currently working part time Door Dashing and as a traveling hairstylist and need to make more money. I’ve definitely got time to help :) My dog gets a daily allergy pill in the morning before his 10min walk. I clean his ears once a week … unfortunately, he’s prone to ear infections so I have to keep a close eye on them.
