“I definitely recommend Catey, particularly if your quadrupedal babes tend toward anxiety or need confident medication administration. This is the first sitter I've ever hired who wasn't already familiar with my cats and our home. I was nervous because of my boys needs medicated eye drops every 12 hours, which isn't his favorite thing by far, and he also generally takes a while to get comfortable with new people. Catey's super calm and solid demeanor was evident from the get-go, and this helped my boy a lot. Meds went off without a problem. Everything that needed doing for both cats was done, and my boys were chill as can be when I returned home. Catey was also super communicative and seemed like a solid, kind person in general. I couldn't ask for more from a sitter!”
About: In the past, I had a Rottweiler German Shepherd mix who was 100lbs. His name was Huckleberry. I loved taking him on walks, grooming/brushing him, and giving him lots of pets. My friends also hired me to take care of their dogs who ranged in different breeds and sizes. I also love taking pictures of all animals. You're sure to get some pretty pictures of your pooch! I am currently working part-time at The Maine Mall and have some free time to help out as much of the Portland dog loving community as possible. Dogs make me happy and feel good about what I do! I make sure your pet(s) are cared for by giving them plenty of water on walks, making sure they are not acting out of the norm (panting heavily/having heat exhaustion). I was working at a veterinary hospital in Chicagoland, so I feel confident at making sure your dog is well taken care of, kept hydrated, fed well, and that all the normal everyday tasks (peeing, pooping, breathing) are being well monitored. I will also send pictures/videos if I suspect something is not right/concerning. I hope to take care of your cute pooch soon!
About: I have a cat, but love both dogs and cats. We recently moved to Portland and would love to spend my free time with your pet! “I swear Emmy was Misty's mom in her past life - that is how much she loves her and is comfortable around her- which as an owner, is the best feeling. Emmy has watched Misty for 3 long trips (7+days) and a few other nights and we are always at ease during our time away because of her. She sends pictures, gives us updates if we ask, is comfortable taking her both on and off leash, has given her medications when required, and has had play dates with other friends & dogs, too. Our dog is so comfortable with her that she's always snuggled up to her and even perks up when we say Emmy is coming. Emmy is always our go-to when she is available !”
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was in high school. I currently have an elderly cat who receives medication by hand twice a day, so I have experience working with senior animals that need more advanced care. I would love to work with your pet!! About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have had three dogs and two cats over the years. I’m currently raising a golden retriever puppy with my family and absolutely love spending time with dogs. Muriel was very sweet with the pets and communicated really well. When a storm threatened our flight, she stayed in touch and worked around her schedule to be able to bridge the gap so that care continued until we got home. I would definitely recommend her anytime.
Annie has a detailed introduction and clear information she left with me from the free intro/meet and greet. She was on schedule for all the days my dog needed a walk and very prompt with replies by text/rover message. I am rarely sure about giving people access to my house when I'm not there but I was totally comfortable with Annie doing so. Thank you for keeping Finn exercised, his paws clean, and making sure he was cozy in his coat when it was snowy!
