About: I have grown up with animals and took on an active responsibility for them by age 10. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds and horses even the occasional snake and love them all equally. My dog experience if everything from a Chihuahua to a Great Pyrenees (though if you were to ask me my German Shepard’s always held a special place in me heart). Currently I have a rescue from the shelter and spend a lot of my time with her for training and building her confidence. I currently work and attend graduate school. I am available all day on weekends and after 5pm all week days except for Wednesdays as I will be attending classes. I always strive to meet the needs of the area I have experience with many diets and also enjoy taking my pups and any other pup in my care for long walks or for a good romp in the dog park to burn all their energy.

About: I have a cat, but love both dogs and cats. We recently moved to Portland and would love to spend my free time with your pet! In general, I am the most available on weekends and at nighttime. I have a busy schedule, but love to incorporate hanging with pets to help you and help me with stress relief! I only am offering services outside of my home—my cat is not friendly with other cats and would likely be eaten by a dog. My upstairs neighbor also has four cats that roam so it makes it difficult to sit for animals at my home.

About: In the past, I had a Rottweiler German Shepherd mix who was 100lbs. His name was Huckleberry. I loved taking him on walks, grooming/brushing him, and giving him lots of pets. My friends also hired me to take care of their dogs who ranged in different breeds and sizes. I also love taking pictures of all animals. You're sure to get some pretty pictures of your pooch! I am currently working part-time at The Maine Mall and have some free time to help out as much of the Portland dog loving community as possible. Dogs make me happy and feel good about what I do! I make sure your pet(s) are cared for by giving them plenty of water on walks, making sure they are not acting out of the norm (panting heavily/having heat exhaustion). I was working at a veterinary hospital in Chicagoland, so I feel confident at making sure your dog is well taken care of, kept hydrated, fed well, and that all the normal everyday tasks (peeing, pooping, breathing) are being well monitored. I will also send pictures/videos if I suspect something is not right/concerning. I hope to take care of your cute pooch soon!

About: I have always loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid! I have been around dogs since I was little and I live with a cat now! I would adore taking your furry friend for a walk or checking up on your cat when you are away. I am currently trying to fit dog walking into my schedule in the mornings before my job starts (STARTING IN MAY). I can also check up on your furry friend in the evening. I am also building my online business so days I am not at my other job are more flexible! I am very good at directions and pay attention to details. I will follow the directions left by the owners when doing a check in! I listen to the pet, and if they are not so sure of me, I let them come to me (especially with cats!) And of course there will be lots of pets!

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs my whole life. Currently a dog mom to a rescue pup. Love dogs and would treat yours like my own! Work as a nurse at a local hospital so I am available for dog walking and drop ins on the weekends and certain week days. As a dog owner myself I dedicate a lot of time to caring for my dog Rosie by walking her, taking her for runs, playing fetch and trips to the beach and dog park!

I am available Friday - Saturday when you need me and can make myself available in the late afternoons and evenings Monday - Thursday as needed for repeat pet sitting! I am a calm, patient individual and want to get to know your pet at their speed. I am great spending time with your pet in your home where they are the most comfortable or taking dogs out for walks as needed!

About: Willing to walk most nights a week Worked with large dogs (mainly Great Danes) Have worked with a reactive dog (Family Pet) Dog was reactive on lease with other dogs. When walking I had to be very aware of other dogs that were around and had to be able to move quick when I did see a dog also had treats to distract him from the other dogs. Any time after 4:00 on weekdays due to other job Saturdays: 7 AM - 10 AM and 6:30 PM - 9 PM Sundays: All Day I care for my parents dog and love him very much, when I watch him we usually will hang out in the house or go to the dog park because that is where my parents take him. When I watch someone else dog I like to follow their rules and listen to what they are asking of me. I have watched my sister's dog who is reactive and when watching him I have made sure that I am aware of what he is doing, what I am doing and what is around me. Personally I don't think that the way I care for my parents and families pets would be different from a clients because all pets should be loved!

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have had three dogs and two cats over the years. I’m currently raising a golden retriever puppy with my family and absolutely love spending time with dogs. Friends have always trusted me to watch their pets while they’re out of town because they know I treat every animal like family. I stay alert on walks, careful around other dogs, people, traffic, and our surroundings to make sure pets feel safe and secure at all times. I also have a fenced yard for safe play and experience caring for and crate training puppies since I currently have 2 dogs.
