I am spending one month in Portland while I am on break from medical school and hoping to find some work pet sitting! About: I have been caring for my cat Minou for about 3 years now. Outside of my experience with her, I help to take care of my parent's dogs back in upstate NY! We have always had dogs, and I will help to feed them, take them on walks, take them to vet appointments, and take them outside. We recently adopted a rescue named Luna, and I have been helping to care for her which has been an absolute blast! For the remainder of May and the month of June, I am free every day! Come July, I will be a 3rd year medical student, so my availability is primarily limited to weekends. We could always discuss a check in, or short walk for your animals on weekdays, but my schedule is a bit unpredictable in terms of when I am let out. Ensuring the safety of your loved ones is my utmost priority, and I would always be sure to follow instructions on how you would like for me to care for them so that all parties can feel safe and supported.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes from 10lbs to 100+ lbs, ages puppy to senior, all with various temperaments, energy levels and medical needs. I’ve also cared for many cats ranging from 2 years old to 13 years old I’m a middle school teacher on summer break with A LOT of availability. I regularly free weekdays during the day through the evening and even available at night and through the night most days of the week. I have a large fenced in yard with that’s mostly shaded by surrounding trees. With easy access from a back deck. We also have a screened in porch for good airflow on hotter days. I live in a nice and walkable neighborhood and I regularly visit local walking/hiking trails in the area.

About: I have been around all kinds of dogs for as long as I can remember. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to keep their dogs healthy, happy, and well loved for over 15 years! I am a first grade teacher so I have all summer off. I am hoping to swap kiddos for dogs this summer so I can be around 24/7 for your pup! About: I’ve taken care of small, medium, and large dogs including low and high energy breeds. I grew up with labs and border collies, and have an understanding for providing love and care for dogs along with exercise and discipline. I will take care of your pet as if it were my own, and am adaptable to any specific needs your dog may have. I am a fire door inspector and repairman which takes up my week days, but guarantees my availability every Saturday and Sunday to provide fulltime care for pets. I live in an 800 sq/ft apartment with my cat Max that has a back porch and yard. It is able to accommodate 2 medium/small dogs or 1 large dog. My cat has lived with a large variety of dogs throughout her life and is calm and friendly towards them. Each dog under my care is treated with love and my absolute attention. Their Saftey and discipline will be ensured with positive reinforcement only. I am also willing and ready to travel to any clients home to care for your pets where they will be most comfortable.

About: We are an experienced foster family with many years of experience. Claudia is an animal welfare professional who has been working in animal shelters for many years. Jason (Ilan) is permanently work from home, so there is always someone home with your baby! We have had 13 foster dogs ranging from small puppies to super seniors. We are a positive reinforcement family with experience in reactivity, separation anxiety, stranger danger, resource guarding, and arousal/high energy behaviors! We are able to provide medical care including medications, injections, and breathing treatments! Our home is empty without our own doggies, we so are so excited to give yours all the love! While Claudia works full time out of the house, Jason (Ilan) works from home full time! Your baby will rarely be home alone, if at all! We can easily crate your dog if you would like and have cameras with motion detection in each room so we can ensure your pup is safe. We provide daily updates on your dog so you can know they are doing well. We are experienced handlers who are fear free certified. We are prepared for anything that might happen!

About: In the past, I had a Rottweiler German Shepherd mix who was 100lbs. His name was Huckleberry. I loved taking him on walks, grooming/brushing him, and giving him lots of pets. My friends also hired me to take care of their dogs who ranged in different breeds and sizes. I also love taking pictures of all animals. You're sure to get some pretty pictures of your pooch! I am currently working part-time at The Maine Mall and have some free time to help out as much of the Portland dog loving community as possible. Dogs make me happy and feel good about what I do! I make sure your pet(s) are cared for by giving them plenty of water on walks, making sure they are not acting out of the norm (panting heavily/having heat exhaustion). I was working at a veterinary hospital in Chicagoland, so I feel confident at making sure your dog is well taken care of, kept hydrated, fed well, and that all the normal everyday tasks (peeing, pooping, breathing) are being well monitored. I will also send pictures/videos if I suspect something is not right/concerning. I hope to take care of your cute pooch soon!

About: I am an animal lover, especially with dogs. I grew up with them and I have owned two beautiful dogs myself. I like to keep them active but also let them know when it’s time to just cool off and hang out but still get the attention that they need. I am a very active person myself so I think that this is a perfect opportunity. I also have a lot of patience so if a dog needs more attention to training, or walking, or whatever it may be, I am up for the challenge. I currently work remotely, so I am very flexible when it comes to routine and schedule! I am available Monday- Saturday mornings, evenings, and afternoons. I have a fenced in backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood that I walk daily. I give pets lots of love and attention by playing and petting and exercising as often as each puppy needs.

About: I have, of course experience as a pet lover as a young child, merely watching and walking the dogs, feeding and changing litter/ picking up after the dogs. I never fully had responsibility and experience until I adopted my pal Leo. He is a high energy lab retriever and puts me through every step of patience! All in all, it has taught me to be stern and serious when needed, but flip it around to fun and playful as well. My boy knows to respect me and listen when i give a command. I know with my body language and direct nature will ensure your pups and kitties are loved and watched over. I will give your pets the time and attention you allow and ensure that while you are away there is plenty of fun to be had, and plenty of adventure as well :) I will be enrolling in school online at SNHU and will be taking courses at home. I will have afternoons and evenings off, So, plenty of free time for your beloved furry companions. I have experience with all types of dogs, not so much cats, but i am a day by day learner! I take everything into opportunity to gain a new skill. I will ensure your pet feels safe and secure with me, all of their needs will be met so long as they are in my care! :)
