About: I have provided pet car for family, friends, neighbors and more since I was a teen. I love spending time with pets of all shapes and sizes and helping their owners too! I am spending one month in Portland while I am on break from medical school and hoping to find some work pet sitting! My schedule is open and flexible to work with all pets at a time that works for their owners :) I will strictly follow instructions for the care of your pets ensuring that they are both safe and happy upon the return of their owners.

About: I’ve been dog-walking and pet sitting for several years now! I love spending time with dogs and am having to go for runs or the beach with them, or just relax at home! I’m a second year medical student, so happy to sit for pets in the evenings, as well as provide breaks during the day! I’m typically most open on the weekends but am open to weekdays as well. I will follow directions closely and respect your home like it is my home! I like to do frequent check-ins and am happy to do a meet and greet beforehand.

About: I have always loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid! I have been around dogs since I was little and I live with a cat now! I would adore taking your furry friend for a walk or checking up on your cat when you are away. I am currently trying to fit dog walking into my schedule in the mornings before my job starts (STARTING IN MAY). I can also check up on your furry friend in the evening. I am also building my online business so days I am not at my other job are more flexible! I am very good at directions and pay attention to details. I will follow the directions left by the owners when doing a check in! I listen to the pet, and if they are not so sure of me, I let them come to me (especially with cats!) And of course there will be lots of pets!

About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. We love active days just as much as laid-back ones, and we’re happy to match whatever energy your pup brings. We both grew up in homes with animals- at one point, Amanda had five dogs and a cat! We have cared for dogs of all breeds and energy levels, from teacup-size rescues to large-breed couch potatoes, plus plenty of other animals over the years (including Sparkles the Bearded Dragon, Amanda’s current classroom pet). We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced-in backyard that dogs love to explore. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. Whether it’s a weekend adventure, daily daycare, or a cozy overnight stay, we’re here to make your dog feel happy, safe, and loved. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. Our day care rate is based on an 8 hour day. We're happy to have your dog with us for longer, but we may ask for an additional fee based on the number of hours. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

About: We are an experienced foster family with many years of experience. Claudia is an animal welfare professional who has been working in animal shelters for many years. Jason (Ilan) is permanently work from home, so there is always someone home with your baby! We have had 13 foster dogs ranging from small puppies to super seniors. We are a positive reinforcement family with experience in reactivity, separation anxiety, stranger danger, resource guarding, and arousal/high energy behaviors! We are able to provide medical care including medications, injections, and breathing treatments! Our home is empty without our own doggies, we so are so excited to give yours all the love! While Claudia works full time out of the house, Jason (Ilan) works from home full time! Your baby will rarely be home alone, if at all! We can easily crate your dog if you would like and have cameras with motion detection in each room so we can ensure your pup is safe. We provide daily updates on your dog so you can know they are doing well. We are experienced handlers who are fear free certified. We are prepared for anything that might happen!

About: Hi there! I grew up on a farm in Maine surrounded by animals, so caring for dogs (and just about every other kind of pet!) has always been a natural part of my life. From playful puppies to gentle seniors, I’ve had experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. During my childhood, there was never a time when I didn't have at least three dogs in the house, so I know how to handle multiple pets and their unique personalities. Over the years, I’ve helped friends and family with dog walking, sitting, and general care, and I treat every pup as if they were my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, quiet cuddles, or energetic playtime, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I know Portland well and enjoy exploring its many dog-friendly parks and trails — perfect for keeping your pup active and entertained. I’m also looking to earn some extra income doing something I genuinely love: spending time outdoors with amazing four-legged friends! I’d love the chance to meet you and your dog and help make your life a little easier. I work as a fellow with a hybrid schedule, so my week has plenty of flexibility for walks, visits, and overnight stays. I’m always remote on Fridays, which makes long weekends easy for me to accommodate. I have two cats of my own that are not fond of sharing space with other animals, especially dogs. Therefore, I am currently unable to offer in-home boarding services.
