“Maria was an incredible drop in cat sitter. I can’t recommend her enough. She sent so many photos of my kitty and gave him so much loving. Definitely will be having her take care of my kitty again.”

“Words cannot adequately capture how superb James was. I had so much anxiety leaving my babies to take a vacation, but it’s clear I had nothing to worry about with James. He was kind, caring, and attentive to the intricacies of managing my four pets. I’ve had a lot of people pet sit in the past, including friends and family, but nobody has done it better than James. I cannot recommend him highly enough!”

“Sera was super kind and thorough and our cats loved her. Would definitely ask her to sit for us again! She made the whole thing very easy, had great communication, and even sent us some pics of them during playtime while we were away :)”

About: I frequently petsit my friend dogs and cats when they are out of town. I grew up with dogs and really miss having one at home. I work full time, but my hours are a bit flexible. I'm available most days and if I have a blocked off day you really need petsitting, please let me know and mostly I probably adjust my schedule. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks! I typically enjoy spending as much time as possible with your pet! I love going on long walks and quick runs with pets. Please let me know if you have any particular care needs for your pets!
“Briana took excellent care of our diabetic cat! She really went above and beyond, playing with him and giving him affection, and is one of only 2 sitters who have successfully been able to administer insulin injections.”

“Jess took great care of my 2 kitties when I was away. I got a daily photo with a cute snuggle picture of my friendly cat. It felt good to know they were so well cared for.”

“Justine was great! Came to our house ahead of time to meet our very shy cat. She was prompt with updates and lots of photos. She even got our kitty to let her scratch and pet him! Highly highly recommend.”

“Lily is wonderful. She has been caring for our two independently-minded cats for a couple of years now, ranging for periods from a few days to three weeks. It is fair to say that she has won them over completely - - they are enchanted by her. We see this in their playfulness & excitement with her on the Ring camera. It is clear that she loves animals, that our cats love her and she loves them. Always conscientious, reliable, and a quick communicator, we are delighted to have found her!”

About: Animals have always been the center of my world, from growing up with pets to pet-sitting countless dogs and cats across NYC. My two cats, August and Ivy, are the absolute loves of my life - My goal is simple: to provide your beloved pets with the exact same high standard of care, safety, and affection that my own two companions receive at home. I work in the office 3 days a week, but I have an hour for lunch and live only 7 min from my office. If close enough I will be able to check in midday as well as morning and after work. I have a fenced yard, though my cats are indoor only I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and enjoy playing fletch for round after round after round. I am organized and will have notes based on what you need for each drop in, will supply pictures, be there on time and stay the whole time. Having used rover myself I know how integral these things are!

“Absolutely the best dog sitter! She took such great care of our zoey! It was such a peace of mind during our daughter’s wedding weekend. We will be using her again!”

“Jesika was so great, so helpful and flexible and reassuring! This was our first time leaving our cat all alone and she went above and beyond to make sure the kitty was ok!”

“Madeleine was great with my golden Layla! I sent a last minute booking and she was very timely with her response to my rover request and followed all instructions given!”

About: Hi! My name is Kale and I have worked with many breeds and temperaments making me confident when it comes to keeping your pet safe and happy! I am available for drop-ins, walks, sittings. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and providing medications. Experienced, new to Rover! I am focusing purely on keeping your animals safe and happy while you’re away. I have a reliable car and open availability after choosing animal friends over the corporate life. I’m attentive and make your furry friend the priority when they’re on my watch. I’m probably more excited to hang out with them than they are me. Always fed, hydrated, and cuddled.
“Jacquelyn is a like a fairy godmother for my cats! She took time to learn their personalities and play styles and how they like affection, and sent AMAZING updates with pictures for each visit. We feel so lucky to have found a person like her!”

“Rachel went above and beyond when our Miss Nahla was quite unexpectedly less than welcoming to her, despite them meeting twice beforehand. Rachel was willing to work a different approach and was wonderfully successful. We are very grateful for her being a super and direct communicator and for giving it a go a second time.”

“Kelly went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were taken excellent care of. We were able to really relax knowing Kelly knows what to do. She was very thoughtful and made two new furry bff's. Lucky to have found Kelly!!”

“Meagan was fantastic with my kittens! Lots of pictures (she could be a professional animal photographer, some of them are so good) and lots of updates. She was also very flexible with my schedule.”

“I was in a last minute punch after a cat sitter changed plans last minute. Nishat was exceptionally responsive and swooped in and saved the day! She also took great care of my kittens!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Falmouth. On Rover:
- 99% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
