About: Hi!! I'm Mia, a student living in Portland, Maine. I grew up with dogs and have cared for family and friends' pets for years, so I'm comfortable with different sizes, energy levels, and routines. I have hands-on experience giving dogs insulin injections, so if your pup is diabetic, I can stick to their schedule and keep an eye on how they're doing. I also have a cat with medical issues of my own, so I understand how much patience and attention a pet with health needs takes. I send photo and text updates after every visit, so you'll always know how your pet is doing. With my current schedule I prefer drop-ins and walks, but I'm open to boarding, house sitting, or anything else you need. • Mon/Wed/Fri: afternoons and evenings (after about 1 PM) • Tue/Thu: lunchtime walks and drop-ins • Sat/Sun: wide open for walks, drop-ins, and overnights But can be flexible Walks and drop-ins (in your home) • I'll go over your pet's routine, feeding, meds, and emergency contacts at a meet-and-greet before the first visit. • Dogs stay leashed on walks, and I use your preferred collar, harness, and route. I don't let them off-leash or approach unfamiliar dogs unless you've okayed it. • I carry waste bags and water, and I'm careful about ice, heat, and busy roads, especially in Portland's winters. • I lock up when I leave, and I never share your address or key details. • I send a photo and text after every visit, and I'll tell you right away if something seems off. • I follow your vet's feeding and medication instructions exactly, and I log doses and times for pets on insulin or other meds.

About: For many years in San Francisco, I was a house and Pet Sitter. It started off with dog walking / sitting and then word got around and I had a couple of regular gigs. I’ve been an animal lover all my life and have owned several different types since I was a child. I have a 13 year-old daughter who also loves animals and would love to accompany me at times if you are OK with that too. Hello, I currently work part-time so I have most mornings and evenings to feed, walk and play with your critters. I live in Portland so prefer things that are in the town or nearby. I am open to house sits and boarding animals within 45 minutes of Portland. I do have two cats so if I am boarding, they need to be OK with that. If at your home… I will do your routine for the animals. If at my home…I currently live in a large house, I have a yard that is not fenced in that they can go out to the bathroom and on leash in, as well as the Back cove two blocks away and a safe residential neighborhood to walk in. I love taking dogs to dog parks and on adventures to walking trails and beaches. I have two cats that have been around other animals and after warming up seem to do well coexisting.

About: I grew up with big dogs and many cats and have a lot of experience with them! Family and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their pets while they are out of town or if they are behind on time. I am an animal lover and would love to keep your pet company while you’re away. I currently work full time so my schedule varies weekly! I would’ve to hep get your pups outside when I get home from work or before depending on my shift. Please reach out to coordinate! About: I am a true animal lover. I’ve had dogs my whole life, but also lived with cats, medium dogs, even the largest dogs (I used to have a St. Bernard so I’ve seen it all.) I’m hoping to get some extra walkies in with new fur friends here and there. Or maybe check up on your fur baby while you’re at work or out of town. I treat all animals like my own and will respect them just like I do with my own sensitive girl. I have to give my dog her oral meds on a strict schedule every day and check her for side effects throughout the day, such as bruising, thirst, blood in the stool… I monitor her daily for all of this as well as giving her outside time every couple of hours to run, play ball or tug-of-war, and then end of day walkies. I definitely have her built into my every day routine. I plan my weeks around her appointments and pill times. My top most consideration is always what does my pet need and what do they expect of me for their unique day-to-day? Do they like to snuggle or do they want to run outside? I like to consider what the specific pet needs out of me and accommodate. My girl is very anxious and high energy so she needs lots of running time, but she also loves her night time cuddles before bed. I will care for pets the way they need me and that’s on their terms because they’re all different.
