Lily is absolutely wonderful as a cat sitter. She loves animals, loves our two cats Timber & Smokey, and they clearly love her! She has cared for them multiple times for us for periods ranging from a few days up to weeks. Lily is personable, upbeat, always reliable & responsible, and communicates quickly & clearly. We are always very comfortable knowing she will be there for our cats. I recommend her strongly.

Words cannot adequately capture how superb James was. I had so much anxiety leaving my babies to take a vacation, but it’s clear I had nothing to worry about with James. He was kind, caring, and attentive to the intricacies of managing my four pets. I’ve had a lot of people pet sit in the past, including friends and family, but nobody has done it better than James. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Our sweet Rose handled an emergency situation with out kitty while we were in another country, and as always went above and beyond what any cat sitter would be expected to do. Rose is our guardian angel.

About: Animals have always been the center of my world, from growing up with pets to pet-sitting countless dogs and cats across NYC. My two cats, August and Ivy, are the absolute loves of my life - My goal is simple: to provide your beloved pets with the exact same high standard of care, safety, and affection that my own two companions receive at home. I work in the office 3 days a week, but I have an hour for lunch and live only 7 min from my office. If close enough I will be able to check in midday as well as morning and after work. I have a fenced yard, though my cats are indoor only I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and enjoy playing fletch for round after round after round. I am organized and will have notes based on what you need for each drop in, will supply pictures, be there on time and stay the whole time. Having used rover myself I know how integral these things are!

Matthew did a great job with our dogs. He took them out on walks and took great pictures for us to see. He also gave them treats and was good to them. He had 3 dogs to deal with over the time and they all seemed happy with him. Great dog sitter who I would definitely use again!

About: I have loved animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and bunnies. I previously worked on a farm where pets with various behaviors and ages lived. I am responsible, communicative, and loving when taking care of animals. I work part-time at a local bakery and am finished with my work day by 10:30am. I am free to walk or visit your pet with my flexible schedule. I cannot have pets stay over night in my home, but they are welcome during the day. I have a large apartment in a safe neighborhood

Katie has been fantastic in her drop-in visits with our mini wiener dogs. She responded quickly when our previous Rover friend let us know she was moving, and has been professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with since that time. Most importantly she goes out of her way to keep both of our dogs safe and happy, one who likes to cuddle and the other who is always looking for the next adventure.

This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience. Chrissie was wonderful to work with. From the beginning she was very responsive and flexible as I had originally messed up the dates; she quickly updated our booking without issue. The attentiveness to our two cats was very appreciated and it allowed my husband and I to be away without worry. She maintained great communication and provided thorough updates. We would highly recommend Chrissie and we will be looking to book again with her in the future.

Incredible pet sitter/house sitter and animal lover. We have had Zayne both drop in and stay over to watch our pack. Taking care of four dogs can be a lot and she nails it. Even with two dogs needing meds, she was totally on top of things. We highly recommend you choosing Zayne as your pet sitter.

Being able to have Ella check in on our dog was a major relief on such short notice. Our main concern was that he would be lonely and Ella was kind enough to spend some time on the couch with him while she studied. We will definitely reach out to her again! Thanks Ella.

Lily has been absolutely wonderful as a cat-sitter for our two cats over the last 3 years - - dropping in on them for visits from a few days to a few weeks. Always reliable & responsible, our cats love her. She clearly loves them as well. We watch them bouncing down the stairs to greet her & then play with her on our Ring cameras. As of July 2026, there are 507 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cumberland Center Station. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cumberland Center Station. On Rover:

  • 99% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
