About: I have always loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid! I have been around dogs since I was little and I live with a cat now! I would adore taking your furry friend for a walk or checking up on your cat when you are away. I am currently trying to fit dog walking into my schedule in the mornings before my job starts (STARTING IN MAY). I can also check up on your furry friend in the evening. I am also building my online business so days I am not at my other job are more flexible! I am very good at directions and pay attention to details. I will follow the directions left by the owners when doing a check in! I listen to the pet, and if they are not so sure of me, I let them come to me (especially with cats!) And of course there will be lots of pets!

Jill gave my dog, Finn, an amazing day when I had to travel for work. I always hate to leave him for long stretches of time, but I didn't have to worry at all because Jill gave him walks, took him to the beach, and even kept him company! When I came back from my long day of traveling, Finn was happy and tired from having a great day. Grateful to Jill for taking such excellent care of him!

About: Hi, I’m Katie! I’ve owned and pet-sitted both dogs and cats all my life. I currently have one kitty named Joni at home, but have lots of past experience with pups. I’ve cared for pets who take meds and tend to be on the anxious side. I’m excited to spend time with your best friend(s)! I work full-time, but have a fairly flexible schedule and can accommodate working from home and breaks to check in on your pet. I’m generally free on evenings and weekends, as well. I’ll follow your lead to make our time together the most safe and comfortable experience possible for your pet. Feel free to set up a meet-and-greet beforehand to go over any special instructions.

About: My pet care experience began when I was a child. Grew up having dogs and other pets in the house. It was the norm for me. That is until college came about and then moved to a large city. Having a pet wasn't viable during those years. This pattern broke when I found myself being asked to house sit for friends that I was also being asked to hang out with their pets while they were gone. I soon began to be a go to person for a few close friends to babysit their pets and plants. The skills that I have with pets are being able to understand them with body language. Hence the nick name dog whisperer. I am currently working part time and have Wednesdays and Thursdays, including the weekend available. Any time of the day of those specifically are perfectly feasible to accommodate care from me. I follow the diet guidelines given to me and don't alter from it. Outside of that, I make sure they are treated with love and attention throughout my time with them. Walks, play time, relax time...it all has a moment through within the day.

About: I work at The Bark Yard, a fear and force free doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I care for dogs daily in a positive, stress-free environment. I’ve grown up with small to extremely large dogs—mainly Boston terriers and Great Pyrenees—and have hands-on experience with feeding, medication routines, enrichment, and reading canine body language. I also personally own and care for a cat, so I’m comfortable providing attentive, gentle care for both dogs and cats. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily and weekly routine. I work hands-on at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, so caring for animals, following schedules, and reading behavior is second nature to me. At home, I care for my own cat with consistent feeding, litter maintenance, playtime, and observation. Because pet care is built into my lifestyle—not something I squeeze in—I’m reliable, attentive, and able to adjust my routine to meet each pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and maintaining their normal routine. I carefully follow all written and verbal instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, and household rules. I respect the pet’s space, read body language, and move at their comfort level—especially for shy or anxious pets. I keep doors, gates, and leashes secure, maintain a clean environment, and leave the home as I found it. My goal is for pets to feel calm, safe, and cared for in their familiar environment.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies who need structure and playtime to senior pups who require patience and gentle care. What sets me apart is my focus on making each dog feel safe, loved, and at home, whether that means long walks, belly rubs, or sticking to their exact routine. I’m reliable, attentive, and quick to notice changes in behavior or needs, which gives pet parents peace of mind. If your dog needs medication, extra exercise, or just a little extra snuggle time, I’m happy to provide it. Every dog has their own personality, and I love tailoring my care to make sure they’re comfortable and happy. I am currently in medical school so my schedule is busy but with plenty of time free on the weekends! I have full days (8am-6pm) Monday and Friday, but only brief afternoon classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and would love to spend my non-class time with a pup! I am additionally free any time on weekends as my weekends mainly entail staying at home to study. I am currently unable to offer pet care in my apartment. I live in an apartment building that is not pet friendly. I am able to travel wherever is needed!

About: I've taken care of dogs cats and other critters since I was a kid. I used to watch Molly the Collie, the neighbor's dog since I was a around 10. I have watched, walked, kept company during thunderstorms, fed pills, and played with many pets over the years. Often dogs and cats but I also have experience with parakeets and chickens and fish. Professionally I am an aquarist and I care for marine fish and invertebrates and freshwater species of fish and turtles. I have also cared, professionally for various reptiles and amphibians, including, but not limited to, a six foot long black rat snake named Edmund, an anxious king snake named Rex, an irritable baby alligator named Pickles and turtles of every shape size and age. I love animals and I want to treat your pet with the same respect and care they get from you! I'm currently working part-time, Sunday through Tuesday, 8:30-4:30, so I have a great deal of flexibility Wednesday-Friday to play with your pets while you are at work! I am excited to meet pets in their territory and maintain their routines and care. I am careful to learn and respect the norms at each new home so that I can give the best care possible to my critters and peace of mind to critter parents. I have a very small house with barely room for me so I am unable, typically to bring pets into my home, but am always willing to be flexible and accommodate in any way that I can.

I have cared for dogs of all weights, breeds, and temperaments. Let's work together to figure out the best care for your pets! I love providing exceptional tailored pet-sitting services for all my clients! In 2024, I moved from Westchester, NY to Portland, ME! Before I moved, I had a list of nearly 50 pet-sitting and dog-walking clients. I worked with many families for over a decade! For some clients, I provided weekly care. For other clients, I would pet-sit for several weeks at a time while they traveled. I am flexible and willing to work with you to meet your needs! Are you disabled? I wear an N95 mask whenever I visit homes for dog-walking. I am happy to discuss other ways to make my services more accessible to you! My current schedule is very flexible! I have open availability, including weekends! In general, I am free every day of the week from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Before scheduling an appointment, I like to sit down with every new client to discuss each pet's routines, preferences, and medications. I also like to discuss any possible concerns! For example, do you take your dog on a specific walk every day? I want to maintain as much normalcy and consistency when caring for your pets!

About: Hi! I'm Mariel! I’m a 30-year old living in Munjoy Hill. I recently left my corporate job of 8 years to go 'all-in' doing what I love most: caring for, playing with, & exercising dogs. There is NOTHING better than a happy, snoozy pup. 🐶 💤 I have experience caring for all breeds, sizes, and ages. I've also owned & trained puppies (love that puppy phase!) so if you have a new member of the family, that needs to get out some puppy energy, I'd be happy to help. I'm a reliable & responsible dogwalker/sitter available for drop-ins or longer adventures. I also offer house & pet sitting if your pup is most comfortable at home. I have plenty of references, if needed as well!
