Kym and Robert have taken care of our dog, Rosie, multiple times over the last couple of years. They are reliable, caring, and keep us updated with photos and messages while we are away. Rosie is always happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we return home. It gives us real peace of mind knowing Rosie is in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Kym and Robert to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Katie was great with drop off and pickup. She administered Clover’s meds and was quick to get back to me when I communicated with her. She was also very flexible with my late pickup when plans changed, and I really appreciate that.

Ksennia took such great care of my dog Murphy for several days at her house! I got a lot of photos and updates on how he was doing and he looked super happy and comfortable in every one. Her place was very neat and she even had a kennel in their yard for the dogs. I will definitely ask her to dog sit again!

Sadie's stay with Trisha and her family was fantastic. They accommodated a last minute change of schedule.Because sadie had eaten chocolate on the drive and we needed to deal with it before dropping her off. Tricia's dog and kids were all friendly and enjoyed having sadie. Sadie loved being there - Plenty of outdoor time and plenty of people time! Trisha was the best fit for Sadie with a dog sitter that we've ever found!

John is amazing. Our little Arlo is afraid of everyone (except John) He almost didn’t want to come home with us. He took such good care of him. He will always be my go-to. One thing, your pup may be lackluster the next day from the exercise he got and missing John.

Hank and his mom Rachel were such a blast for our dog Bode to stay with. He had a great week of playtime, couch time, and what looked like hours of dog parkour. We will absolutely be sending Bode back.

About: Hi! It's nice to meet you (& hopefully your pup too)! I'm Lindsay, an active, responsible, and caring pet-sitter who treats each pet like they're my own. I've had plenty of animals around since I was born & I've dog & cat sat for friends and family a bunch over the past 10+ years, from quick stop-ins for food & water to walks & overnight visits. Nothing brings me more joy than leaving an animal happy and tired from a great day together. I work from home, so I have flexible daytime availability to visit your pet. My work schedule fluctuates depending on what projects I'm working on, but I can always make time for a walk! Your pet's well-being will always be top of mind. I’m currently offering dog walking and check-ins. I would be walking your dog around the neighborhood or to the closest park for some much-needed fresh air! If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, please reach out :)

This is the first time we used the services of Jeanne Y. As dog sitter for our dog Crosby, an almost three year old active mixed breed (lab/boxer). We were very pleased with the overall e perience and would not hesitate to use Jeanne again or to recommend her services to our pet-owner friends. I really appreciated the opportunity to meet Jeanne prior to Crosby's stay. I also appreciated the pictures Jeanne shared with us of Crosby's stay. Crosby had to the opportunity to run in the large enclosed ring by Jeanne's barn. According to Jeanne, Crosby enjoyed socializing with other dogs staying on the farm over Christmas. The pictures JeNne shared with us showed this as well. We also appreciated Jeanne's flexibility in when we could drop off and pick up Crosby. Our experience with other kennels is that they are not often as flexible.

Rachael was amazing with Maizy. Maizy vacationed with her for 8 nights. As promised, we received many pictures and updates daily. She was in tuned to how our girl was feeling and we could see the happiness on Maizy’s face in the pics. Rachel reached out with food questions when needed. We seriously could not have asked for a better vacation for our Maizy girl! Highly recommend Rachael! Hopr the secret doesn’t spread too fast so we can book Rachael again!

About: Dogs give me a lot of love and now I have time to give back. I have 3 boys ages who may join and help me walk dogs if multiple leashes and paces are involved. I work from home and take a lot of long walks. I have kids who will sometimes join me on longer excursions in the woods. I have been trained by a sweet elder lady Tornjak named Rhae who taught me how to care for sensitive dog without provoking any anxiety.

There are 297 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Cape Elizabeth. About 96% of Cape Elizabeth sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
