Christine is a new favorite dogsitter! I left one of my dogs with her and her canine crew for five days—she came home happy, healthy, and tired after romping around the big fenced yard, dipping in the pool, and snoozing on the couch. Worry-free dogsitting from a true dog lover. Thanks, Christine!

My little guy King stayed with Molly for 5 nights. He's usually very shy with humans at first, but he seemed to have a great time while staying there, which set me at ease. He got to meet other doggos and make other friends too. He loves being able to roam and play in a fenced yard, so that was a plus! Molly kept me posted on Kings daily activities and how he was doing, and also sent me pics daily! King always looked like he was having so much fun! Definitely made me worry less about leaving him for more than a few days. The coziness and warm vibe in their house made me feel good about having King stay with them... I'd definitely use Molly again for daycare or boarding for my sweet King!

About: I grew up with dogs and I miss the pure joy they have for this world. I can't own one with my current situation, but would love to look after yours. I'm a working professional who is kind and courteous. If you want me to know anything ask, feel free to ask! -Alex I work a full time remote job, with easy morning and evening walking times. The afternoon tends to be a bit busier for me so I may not be able to take an extended break but can make sure your pup has plenty of bathroom breaks and long walks. I am kind and courteous of other people's space. I offer sitting in your space or walks, because my apartment doesn't allow me to have dogs.

I know my dogs will be in good hands with Khaila, and she's my first choice in sitter in the Saco area. She's flexible with plans, responsive, and very communicative. I appreciate the updates she shares with me, and I know I don't have to worry when my dogs are being watched by her. Thank you Khaila!

Rachael was amazing with Maizy. Maizy vacationed with her for 8 nights. As promised, we received many pictures and updates daily. She was in tuned to how our girl was feeling and we could see the happiness on Maizy’s face in the pics. Rachel reached out with food questions when needed. We seriously could not have asked for a better vacation for our Maizy girl! Highly recommend Rachael! Hopr the secret doesn’t spread too fast so we can book Rachael again!

Mariah, Kyle and family took good care of our 10 yr. old Portuguese Water Dog during our week long family vacation. They treated him like he was part of the family and he enjoyed being around their dog and another one they were also boarding. Having a fenced in yard was perfect for playing and getting exercise. They were easy to communicate with and wonderful about giving regular updates and sending photos.

About: I have loved and been loved by animals my entire life. :-) t would be my absolute honor to care for your pet! I have off-app pet sitting/walking and house sitting experience. I am comfortable with all personalities or ages. I currently regularly watch a reactive golden doodle and two kitties. On top of that, I also have my own baby cat named Jojo. I am extremely flexible and willing to answer any questions. I look forward to meeting your loved ones. Please reach out with any additional information wanted! I work full time Sunday-Thursday from 3pm-11pm. I am available for any pet care before 3pm on those days, and all day long on Friday and Saturday. I am also willing to be flexible and see what I can do for emergency situations where a pet needs attention while I am at work. I love being active! Taking dogs for walks, play and providing enrichment is something I value a lot. I also believe play and attention are important for cats too. Ideally, a clear idea of what your pets day to day looks like will help us both be set up for success. I am fully willing to follow whatever your pets needs are. I just want them to be happy!

We recently were away on vacation and were very excited that our Maizy girl could go on her vacation at Rachael’s - again!! There is nothing like being away and knowing our furry girl is having as much fun as us. Lots of good walks & snuggles. As always, Rachael provided lots of photos through out Maizy’s stay. Maizy needs meds on a particular schedule & Rachael always follows through. Thank you Rachael for another fabulous vaca for our girl! See you soon!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in Scarborough on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 298 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Scarborough. About 96% of Scarborough sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
