Dog LOVERS near Higgins Beach!
We have a loving home and love sharing it with dogs! We've lost Buddy, our dog of 17 years, and Bruno, our dog of 13 years. We miss them! and want more dog love in our lives but we're not ready for one of our own quite yet. So we'd love to love yours! Karen is home so your dogs won't be left alone for more than a few hours at a time and only occasionally. (On weekends, one of us and sometimes both of us are always home!) We have a big yard and we're just 2 miles from the beach, where we love to take our dogs! We are kind animal lovers. We will treat your dogs the way we would love ours to be treated. We don't have a fussy house so if your dog likes to hop up on the couch, no problem! We look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! Schedule
Karen is home most of the time. Steve is home every day after 4 and we are either both home on weekends or one of us will be home on the weekend. Basically, someone is always home. We do go out, of course and your dog would need to be able to be left alone without separation anxiety.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a quiet, safe and loving home. It is just the two of us who live here. Our home is completely dog friendly and the dogs stay on the first floor. There is easy access to the back yard via our deck so no stairs to navigate if your dog is an elder pup. We have a large (unfenced) yard so the dogs have a change to get some fresh air in between trips to the beach, woods, park, etc.
A typical day
We live in a walkable neighborhood in Scarborough. We also hop in the car and go to the Higgins Beach (our home away from home) which is just 2 miles away. We also like to walk at the Pleasant Hill Preserve, which is one mile away. Our back yard is heavenly.
