Availability
Karen is home most of the time. Steve is home every day after 4 and we are either both home on weekends or one of us will be home on the weekend. Basically, someone is always home. We do go out, of course and your dog would need to be able to be left alone without separation anxiety.

We have a quiet, safe and loving home. It is just the two of us who live here. Our home is completely dog friendly and the dogs stay on the first floor. There is easy access to the back yard via our deck so no stairs to navigate if your dog is an elder pup. We have a large (unfenced) yard so the dogs have a change to get some fresh air in between trips to the beach, woods, park, etc.

Does your dog have any special needs, quirks, or anxieties? Also, does your dog get along well with other dogs? Can your dog be off leash at the beach? Where does your dog sleep at night? Please let us know what you'd like us to know about your dog. We love to celebrate and honor each individual dog!! Just a few notes - an additional rate may apply if you would like your dog to be the only dog we care for during their stay. Also, if you have a very easy sweet and small pup, we may be able to care for them for a bit less than $75 per night. We can discuss details.
A typical day
We live in a walkable neighborhood in Scarborough. We also hop in the car and go to the Higgins Beach (our home away from home) which is just 2 miles away. We also like to walk at the Pleasant Hill Preserve, which is one mile away. Our back yard is heavenly.

We have a loving home and love sharing it with dogs! We've lost Buddy, our dog of 17 years, and Bruno, our dog of 13 years. We miss them! and want more dog love in our lives but we're not ready for one of our own quite yet. So we'd love to love yours! Karen is home so your dogs won't be left alone for more than a few hours at a time and only occasionally. (On weekends, one of us and sometimes both of us are always home!) We have a big yard and we're just 2 miles from the beach, where we love to take our dogs! We are kind animal lovers. We will treat your dogs the way we would love ours to be treated. We don't have a fussy house so if your dog likes to hop up on the couch, no problem! We look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! We have hosted many dogs through Rover, with many repeat customers, so please see our reviews!! We have been Rover hosts for over 4 years and are nearing 100 5 star reviews!! Thank you!! Karen and Steve were wonderful! They were very communicative and sent pictures daily. They also took Huey on great walks and even to the beach. We felt very comfortable with Huey in their care.
