About: I have always loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid! I have been around dogs since I was little and I live with a cat now! I would adore taking your furry friend for a walk or checking up on your cat when you are away. I am currently trying to fit dog walking into my schedule in the mornings before my job starts (STARTING IN MAY). I can also check up on your furry friend in the evening. I am also building my online business so days I am not at my other job are more flexible! I am very good at directions and pay attention to details. I will follow the directions left by the owners when doing a check in! I listen to the pet, and if they are not so sure of me, I let them come to me (especially with cats!) And of course there will be lots of pets!

My schedule is flexible since I currently work part-time, which allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I’m available Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 9am–3pm, as well as Friday afternoons. This schedule allows me to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, and care during visits or house sitting. I always do my best to work with each owner’s routine so their pet’s day stays as normal and comfortable as possible. I believe every pet deserves care that’s tailored just for them. About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life, so that’s 25 years of loving animals, but just 11 years as the sole caregiver of my own. From Labradors to Chihuahuas, to Police K-9s, I’ve loved them all, though I’m currently a cat lady. For the first time in my life, I don’t have any dogs at the moment, as I don’t feel like I have enough space for it to be fair to them. So this is how I get my dog fix, and my steps in at the same time 🤭. I currently have 2 cats and 1 hedgehog, I’m a sucker for an exotic pet. I’ve also had 4 snakes in the past (my husband is terrified or else I’d have some right now). One of my cats is leash trained, and one has some medical needs, so I’m familiar with oral medication administration as well. I do work full-time during the week, so I am only available after 5pm. Sometimes I’m able to step away for breaks as I work from home 3 days per week, but my work is pretty irregular, so afternoons and evenings are the best bet for my availability. I live in a relatively small condo, so I don’t have much space. As much as I would love to offer boarding, I don’t think it would be fair to your pet, as I also do not have a yard. BUT I’m more than happy to stop by your home and fulfill any requests!

About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. Our day care rate is based on an 8 hour day. We're happy to have your dog with us for longer, but we may ask for an additional fee based on the number of hours. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: I'm a lifelong dog owner and have enjoyed the experience of teaching my daughters the joys and responsibilities of caring for our dogs. As lead parent, I've been passionate about opting for daily outdoor adventures with my daughters and dogs and have often heard, "Boy, you have your hands full!", to which I have always replied, "I need to keep everybody happy somehow." Romps on the beach or marsh, trail running, and biking or rollerblading the Eastern Trail are just a few of our favorites. Over the past few years, we've said goodbye to our beloved Boss and Kona. We're still craving dog energy around our home and outdoor adventures, and want to assist other families in the Scarborough community to achieve "a tired dog, a happy dog" experience that we've known and love. We feel blessed to have a doggy daycare buddy, Finnegan, with us most weekdays and he is dog friendly. I work from home while my daughters are in school and am off with them during the summer months. We are available to care for your dog throughout the day and evening, and love boarding dogs for overnights. Summer hours are very flexible for walks. During the school year we can walk your dog weekdays after 3:30PM; or as scheduled outside of those hours upon request. My Mondays and Fridays tend to be light on my primary work and I carve out time for doggy adventures and exercise. We can accommodate based on your needs and recommendations specific for your dog(s). Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues beforehand. If any medication needs to be administered, I'd be glad to assist.
