Your fur baby's new side bestie! 🐶
They/them pronouns; unfortunately for health reasons I can only work with non-smoking households. We can negotiate, if smoking is only ever done outside. I sometimes work with my spouse, especially if there's more than one pet in the home or you'd like me to stay overnight (this is for my safety), to make it even easier for your pet to receive the walks and attention they need. I will bring this up when we talk, giving you an opportunity to let me know if you're okay with us working as a duo or not. I have never lived in a home without dogs or cats for more than a year. Furry friends are vital to me and I understand how wonderful and magical it is to have each unique pet in our lives. I have 10+ years of daily cat care experience, and 15+ of daily dog care experience. Additionally, I have previous employment history working directly with puppies under 6 months of age, and playing with and doing basic training for dogs in need of plentiful stimulation. My own cats have sensitivities and quirks that require special care, and I'm ready and qualified to listen to and adhere to your loved one's unique care needs. I also have experience with senior dogs and love to work with them! <3

Safety, trust & environment
For me, the biggest concern is your pet's safety and comfort. I keep a watchful eye on all pets in my care to ensure I know where they are and what they're doing, and I keep their environments free of debris and hazards. I also want to make sure all toys used are approved by you, so there's nothing unexpected. Food will be given exactly as instructed, and I treat health conditions and unique needs and concerns for your pet with the utmost responsibility. I also will treat your home with respect and leave things as I find them. Your instructions and preferences will be followed to a T.

Sparrow was wonderful with Winnie, paying attention to her needs and checking in with us regularly. Good communication, very present, and asked questions to make sure they had all the necessary information. We'd happily work with them again!
Their attention to detail was impressive. They noticed habits and personality traits in our girls that we know and take for granted. They could tell that Brynn was having some regular arthritis pain and that Lilly was off her potty schedule and quickly communicated that to us to make sure we were aware and to see if there was anything they could do to help. They’re great at asking questions when they think anything should be brought to our attention and want to know if there is anything they can do about it. Their passion and love for fur babies was evidenced by their regular and thorough check-in texts, the time they spent time with our fur babies, and pictures they sent. Their attentiveness and regular updates regarding Lilly’s med schedule and Brynn’s arthritis pain gave us peace of mind while we were away. We definitely will ask them to spend time with Brynn and Lilly next summer when we return to Maine. Would recommend them to anyone!
Sparrow took great care of our pets and house. They kept us informed of their stay and were very responsive! They asked great questions and clearly have a lot of experience house sitting.
Sparrow was great. They were very attentive to Lilly and Brynn and showed them tons of love. They took time to understand and adhere to Lilly’s strict medication schedule which is critical to her care. They sent plenty of updates to let us know our girls were being cared for and happy. Lilly and Brynn are looking forward to spending more time with their new friend!
I used Rover for the very first time and found a gem in Sparrow. They met with me ahead of time, as my 12 yr old Westie has meds both morning and night and anxiety issues. Honestly, Sparrow’s communication with me was stellar. Fiona stopped eating the first morning I was gone (Westitude and a nervous Nellie!) and Sparrow immediately texted me. Their concern was very reassuring, and once Fiona figured that she was in caring hands, the rest of their stay went smoothly. Sparrow stayed overnight in my home for 6 days, and I returned to an immaculate home. I would not hesitate to have Sparrow doggy sit for Fiona in the future. They get a 10 on a scale of 1-5!!!!!
This was my first experience with Sparrow and I was delighted to see how happy my cat Rasmo was to be in their tender and attentivecare. Sparrow sent lots of updates and was very responsive to my questions. I also received lots of photos showing Rasmo snuggled up and relaxed, which really helped to put my mind at ease while I was away. I would hire Sparrow back anytime!

Schedule
When I accept a job, it means that I have the dates requested either 100% available, or any other drop-in jobs I've accepted match with your requirements for care frequency. For instance, if your pet needs potty breaks every 2 hours, I will check that I don't have any other engagements that would take me away from your pet more than 2 hours. Thankfully, my other work can be rearranged to accommodate my sitting schedule, meaning your fur babies receive VIP status in my planner. <3

- Please let me know: - any medications - food and feeding schedule - any behavioral issues you're aware of ("sometimes she nips if you reach for her food bowl" or "sometimes he bolts after rabbits and squirrels") - any new training you might be working on (ie. "We're trying to teach her not to get on the couch so please don't let her get up." or "We changed his feeding schedule. Now he eats when we do, so please have dinner at the same time--6:00 PM." etc.) - any allergies or special medical needs ("sometimes has accidents" or "can't get up on the bed without help") - any special rules ("no going in the study")
