About: Animals have always been the center of my world, from growing up with pets to pet-sitting countless dogs and cats across NYC. My two cats, August and Ivy, are the absolute loves of my life - My goal is simple: to provide your beloved pets with the exact same high standard of care, safety, and affection that my own two companions receive at home. I work in the office 3 days a week, but I have an hour for lunch and live only 7 min from my office. If close enough I will be able to check in midday as well as morning and after work. I have a fenced yard, though my cats are indoor only I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and enjoy playing fletch for round after round after round. I am organized and will have notes based on what you need for each drop in, will supply pictures, be there on time and stay the whole time. Having used rover myself I know how integral these things are!

About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. We love active days just as much as laid-back ones, and we’re happy to match whatever energy your pup brings. We both grew up in homes with animals- at one point, Amanda had five dogs and a cat! We have cared for dogs of all breeds and energy levels, from teacup-size rescues to large-breed couch potatoes, plus plenty of other animals over the years (including Sparkles the Bearded Dragon, Amanda’s current classroom pet). We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced-in backyard that dogs love to explore. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. Whether it’s a weekend adventure, daily daycare, or a cozy overnight stay, we’re here to make your dog feel happy, safe, and loved. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. Our day care rate is based on an 8 hour day. We're happy to have your dog with us for longer, but we may ask for an additional fee based on the number of hours. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: i have been a dog owner my whole life, and currently have chinchillas and a cat! “I definitely recommend Catey, particularly if your quadrupedal babes tend toward anxiety or need confident medication administration. This is the first sitter I've ever hired who wasn't already familiar with my cats and our home. I was nervous because of my boys needs medicated eye drops every 12 hours, which isn't his favorite thing by far, and he also generally takes a while to get comfortable with new people. Catey's super calm and solid demeanor was evident from the get-go, and this helped my boy a lot. Meds went off without a problem. Everything that needed doing for both cats was done, and my boys were chill as can be when I returned home. Catey was also super communicative and seemed like a solid, kind person in general. About: Growing up, there was only one week of my life when we did not have at least one dog. Each family dog had a quirky and distinct personality, ranging from serious and loyal to silly and playful. I understand that each pet is just as unique as their parent(s), and each one deserves the individual love and care we give our human family and friends. I am a very patient and reliable person with a deep love for all animals (big, small, canine, feline, avian, you name it!). My other job (as a pet photographer!) is very flexible, so as long as I don't have any photo session appointments, I am likely available to take care of your pet. My cat is an inside cat, and my dog prefers humans to other dogs. I understand that different animals have different needs and personalities, and I am ready to meet your pet where they're at, whether that's chilling on the couch or going on a hike. You know your pet best, and I will always follow your instructions and use your recommendations on how to create a safe and fun visit!

About: I'm a lifelong dog owner and have enjoyed the experience of teaching my daughters the joys and responsibilities of caring for our dogs. As lead parent, I've been passionate about opting for daily outdoor adventures with my daughters and dogs and have often heard, "Boy, you have your hands full!", to which I have always replied, "I need to keep everybody happy somehow." Romps on the beach or marsh, trail running, and biking or rollerblading the Eastern Trail are just a few of our favorites. Over the past few years, we've said goodbye to our beloved Boss and Kona. We're still craving dog energy around our home and outdoor adventures, and want to assist other families in the Scarborough community to achieve "a tired dog, a happy dog" experience that we've known and love. We feel blessed to have a doggy daycare buddy, Finnegan, with us most weekdays and he is dog friendly. I work from home while my daughters are in school and am off with them during the summer months. We are available to care for your dog throughout the day and evening, and love boarding dogs for overnights. Summer hours are very flexible for walks. During the school year we can walk your dog weekdays after 3:30PM; or as scheduled outside of those hours upon request. My Mondays and Fridays tend to be light on my primary work and I carve out time for doggy adventures and exercise. We can accommodate based on your needs and recommendations specific for your dog(s). Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues beforehand. If any medication needs to be administered, I'd be glad to assist.

But I also work with destination clients. I started my life out with a pack of German Shepherds and have been caring for animals my entire life. I’m experienced with all sizes, temperaments, and personalities— and other animals that are atypical pets..
 A core focus in my work and life is animal communication. For parents who enjoy understanding their pet more deeply, or have new pets, I’m happy to share insights into behavior and needs – once I’ve spent time getting to know your pet.
 I also have training in small animal massage and energy work. I offer consistency in play, exercise, Respect for your training routines, and am always attuned to what your pet actually needs.

While I don’t yet have Rover reviews—most of my work has been through private clients—I’m happy to provide strong references upon request. I’d love to connect and see if we’re a good fit. My schedule is flexible. I generally work at “home” so am able to spend a lot of time with your pet, letting them know that you’ve made sure they are taken care of after the suitcases are out the door.
