About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. About: I am a true animal lover. I’ve had dogs my whole life, but also lived with cats, medium dogs, even the largest dogs (I used to have a St. Bernard so I’ve seen it all.) I’m hoping to get some extra walkies in with new fur friends here and there. Or maybe check up on your fur baby while you’re at work or out of town. I treat all animals like my own and will respect them just like I do with my own sensitive girl. I have to give my dog her oral meds on a strict schedule every day and check her for side effects throughout the day, such as bruising, thirst, blood in the stool… I monitor her daily for all of this as well as giving her outside time every couple of hours to run, play ball or tug-of-war, and then end of day walkies. I definitely have her built into my every day routine. I plan my weeks around her appointments and pill times. My top most consideration is always what does my pet need and what do they expect of me for their unique day-to-day? Do they like to snuggle or do they want to run outside? I like to consider what the specific pet needs out of me and accommodate. My girl is very anxious and high energy so she needs lots of running time, but she also loves her night time cuddles before bed. I will care for pets the way they need me and that’s on their terms because they’re all different.

“I definitely recommend Catey, particularly if your quadrupedal babes tend toward anxiety or need confident medication administration. This is the first sitter I've ever hired who wasn't already familiar with my cats and our home. I was nervous because of my boys needs medicated eye drops every 12 hours, which isn't his favorite thing by far, and he also generally takes a while to get comfortable with new people. Catey's super calm and solid demeanor was evident from the get-go, and this helped my boy a lot. Meds went off without a problem. Everything that needed doing for both cats was done, and my boys were chill as can be when I returned home. Catey was also super communicative and seemed like a solid, kind person in general. I couldn't ask for more from a sitter!”
About: I'm a lifelong dog owner and have enjoyed the experience of teaching my daughters the joys and responsibilities of caring for our dogs. As lead parent, I've been passionate about opting for daily outdoor adventures with my daughters and dogs and have often heard, "Boy, you have your hands full!", to which I have always replied, "I need to keep everybody happy somehow." Romps on the beach or marsh, trail running, and biking or rollerblading the Eastern Trail are just a few of our favorites. Over the past few years, we've said goodbye to our beloved Boss and Kona. We're still craving dog energy around our home and outdoor adventures, and want to assist other families in the Scarborough community to achieve "a tired dog, a happy dog" experience that we've known and love. We feel blessed to have a doggy daycare buddy, Finnegan, with us most weekdays and he is dog friendly. I work from home while my daughters are in school and am off with them during the summer months. We are available to care for your dog throughout the day and evening, and love boarding dogs for overnights. Summer hours are very flexible for walks. During the school year we can walk your dog weekdays after 3:30PM; or as scheduled outside of those hours upon request. My Mondays and Fridays tend to be light on my primary work and I carve out time for doggy adventures and exercise. We can accommodate based on your needs and recommendations specific for your dog(s). About: I’ve been an animal lover for my whole life! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds, cats, cows, and chickens. Walking dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I have worked for a dog walking company for the past 3 years. Also, I have worked on multiple farms where I’ve cared for farm animals and dogs/cats. I will care for your pet as if they were my own! About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life—from Cavapoos to Corgis to Wheaten Terriors to Doodles, to Boxers! I’ve also had the pleasure of having a Goldendoodle of my own as well! My sweet pup was in an accident and required lots of specific care such as wound care and medication administration for many months. I am a very patient and dedicated pet sitter and will treat your pet like my own. I also have experience with senior dogs and love to work with them! <3 When I accept a job, it means that I have the dates requested either 100% available, or any other drop-in jobs I've accepted match with your requirements for care frequency. For instance, if your pet needs potty breaks every 2 hours, I will check that I don't have any other engagements that would take me away from your pet more than 2 hours. Thankfully, my other work can be rearranged to accommodate my sitting schedule, meaning your fur babies receive VIP status in my planner. <3 For me, the biggest concern is your pet's safety and comfort. I keep a watchful eye on all pets in my care to ensure I know where they are and what they're doing, and I keep their environments free of debris and hazards. I also want to make sure all toys used are approved by you, so there's nothing unexpected. Food will be given exactly as instructed, and I treat health conditions and unique needs and concerns for your pet with the utmost responsibility. I take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. I treat every home with the utmost respect and every pet as if they were my own. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during each visit, so you’ll always know how your furry family member is doing. I also require a meet-and-greet before new bookings to ensure we’re a great fit and to help your pet feel comfortable before our first visit.
About: I take myself out for walks anyway, dogs are just amazing company! I'm excited to get your dogs moving outside in a safe way that burns off some energy and allows exploration! I love being outdoors in any weather condition. Being away from home, I dearly miss my own dog, so spending quality time with some of the best creatures in the world is an amazing added bonus. I’m available weekdays before 11:30, and any time on weekends! I work in the afternoons, so my availability is before 11:30 and after 6 pm on weekdays. I’m happy to be flexible to suit your changing needs, especially if something comes up last minute that you need support with! I know it’s an act of extreme trust to have another person interact with your fur babies and I take that responsibility extremely seriously!! Whether in your home, my home, or just walking around the neighborhood, I promise to pay attention to, care for, and love your pets like they are my own!
About: Have had a wonderful cockapoo for nearly 6 years. I have perfected my art of walking and if schedules align would love to bring your dog along too! Usually available before 7am then 930-3pm and again in the late evening if needed. Caring for my own dog and family and when possible your dog, too! I have a very dog friendly home for my dog. I use a leash in my own yard for my dog. If working in another persons home I would respect their rules and expectations on caring for their dog.
About: I love animals with my whole heart. I’ve had a sweet dog of my own for the past 10 years whom is truly my best friend. Other than my own, I’ve taken care of pets for friends & family for as long as I can remember. My relationship with animals on a whole is a special one for I respect them & am interested in what their behavior is trying to convey to us humans. I have previous volunteer experience at Antler Ridge Wildlife sanctuary in NJ, as well as previous experience in a VCA animal hospital as a tech assistant. I’m responsible, dependable, & very compassionate. I have a deep love for animals & aspire to one day have a nonprofit animal rescue. If your animal is with me, I will treat them with kindness. I know what it’s like to have to work long days away from our furry family members, personally it stresses me out. I would love to be able to ease that feeling of worry or guilt for you & be there to give your dog or cat some love! My schedule at the moment is a little all over the place. Typically every other week I have time off & can offer daily walks, & drop ins. Weekends I can typically do walks & drop ins as well. Mornings, afternoons, & evenings work when I have time off. I don’t have a fenced in yard & don’t plan to board your animals at my home. But when they are in my care at your home or on a walk I will make sure they are always safe. I’ll always check in with you before caring for your animal to see what sorts of situations may be stressful for them/ what their personal restrictions are. If anything ever seems off with your pet when I see them I will notify you immediately. Clear communication is key for safety!
About: I’ve been an animal lover for my whole life! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds, cats, cows, and chickens. Walking dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I have worked for a dog walking company for the past 3 years. Also, I have worked on multiple farms where I’ve cared for farm animals and dogs/cats. I will care for your pet as if they were my own! I’m working a remote part-time job which leaves me with plenty of time to walk dogs throughout the day and in the evening. Additionally, I have a very flexible schedule on the weekends. If I am caring for your pet in your home I will make sure to follow whatever schedule you have for them. I will take them out to play often and give them lots of love.
About: I grew up taking care of four dachshunds and two cats, and that has continued my entire life. I have experience caring for elderly animals,puppies, kittens, animals with disabilities and special dietary or health needs. Now I have 1 cat who I take care of on a daily basis. I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.
