“Lisa is so good with Franklin! She is super punctual, very caring, and completely adheres to our care instructions. Also, love the photos she always sends of our pup. I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience working in the pet-care industry. I have worked both full time and part time as a pet sitter/dog walker. I have familiarity with a large number of breeds and personalities. It doesn't matter if you have multiple animals in your home needing care, or just one. I am currently full time for pet sitting and/or dog walking and available days or nights, including weekends. Mornings, midday, evening, and late night. I will meet with you prior to caring for your pets to go over their routine and care so we are able to keep the same schedule while you are away. The goal is limit stress for both you and your pet during the separation.
“Christina was incredible and put our mind at ease when it came to leaving our dogs for a weekend. She was thorough, timely, and very communicative. She even sent us pics after each visit of the dogs having fun!”

“We really appreciated Marna's communications; letting us know when she arrived and how Alphie greeted her. Alphie felt comfortable enough to give Marna some lovings, which was what we were hoping for. It felt good to trust our little man to Marna.”
About: I’ve had dogs and cats by my side for almost my entire life, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of dog breeds, from small to large. Over the years, I’ve cared for puppies and kittens as young as four weeks old through senior aged. learning the unique needs of every life stage. I’ve also spent time fostering dogs, preparing them for successful adoptions by providing love, training, socialization, and medical care. This deep, lifelong experience has given me the knowledge, patience, and skills to confidently care for other people’s dogs and cats as if they were my own. I'm currently taking a break from the corprote world and looking for new adventures. This gives me plenty of time to care for your pet(s) as needed. I will happily care for your pet in a way that keeps them safe and makes you feel at ease. Meeting your pets individual needs.

“Stacey once again did an exceptional job taking care of our boys. She provided thorough updates and plenty of sweet photos. I never questioned if our boys were being well cared for. She also went above and beyond by watering our plants. We are happy to have someone reliable and that our cats feel comfortable with when we are away. Thanks Stacey!”

“Briana took excellent care of our diabetic cat! She really went above and beyond, playing with him and giving him affection, and is one of only 2 sitters who have successfully been able to administer insulin injections.”

“Sera was more than we could ask for! I was apprehensive leaving our cat for two weeks, but right away Sera made us feel very secure and made sure our cat felt very loved. The daily updates and photos were perfect and we could tell our cat loved her so much we started to feel jealous 😂😂😂 Highly highly recommend!! Surely our Rusie can’t wait for us to take another vacation!”

“Gigi was a pleasure to work with. She did a Zoom meet and greet. And help me to move the date of our appointment. She left numerous pictures and a review. I highly recommend Gigi.”

“Justine just finished caring for our two cats for the first time and we certainly hope not the last time!!!! She was communicative, detail-oriented, and sensitive to how our cats were doing and what she could do to help them. For example, when one of our cats wasn't eating, she moved the food to the cat's hiding spot, which solved the problem! Thank you so much, Justine, for taking care of our cats and reducing stress on our wedding weekend! :D”

“Sara is wonderful, her attention to detail, thoughtful communication is one of my favorite qualities. Tatertot was well taken care of on her drop in visits. We will rebook, when she has availability. Your pets are in good hands! I highly recommend”

“Darby watched our cats twice a day for a week while we were away on vacation. She was easy to communicate with, provided regular updates and gave excellent care for our kitties while we were away. This was our first Rover experience and it gave such peace of mind knowing our pets were well cared for. We hope to book Darby again when our next trip comes up!”

About: Animals have always been the center of my world, from growing up with pets to pet-sitting countless dogs and cats across NYC. My two cats, August and Ivy, are the absolute loves of my life - My goal is simple: to provide your beloved pets with the exact same high standard of care, safety, and affection that my own two companions receive at home. I work in the office 3 days a week, but I have an hour for lunch and live only 7 min from my office. If close enough I will be able to check in midday as well as morning and after work. I have a fenced yard, though my cats are indoor only I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and enjoy playing fletch for round after round after round. I am organized and will have notes based on what you need for each drop in, will supply pictures, be there on time and stay the whole time. Having used rover myself I know how integral these things are!
“Elizabeth took great care of our cats! She took pictures and provided detailed descriptions of each visit, and took initiative when necessary. We would absolutely hire her again!”

About: I've been caring for my personal cat since 2018, although I grew up with cats and a dog in the house and had close relationships with them. I have a Bachelor's in Animal Behavior from the University of New England (UNE). I worked at a doggy day care for a year and since the beginning of 2025 have been walking dogs and providing other pet care services for clients. Pet care is the focus of my weekly routine. I'm available from 10am-5pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and 10am-4pm Fridays, for walks, and can be available for check in visits or housesitting any time of the week. I go above and beyond to try to make sure your pet enjoys their time with me, while also following all rules and instructions you might leave me. I provide a summary of each visit as well as at least one photo, to make sure you know exactly what's going on with your pet.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Westbrook
“Lyndsay was great! She was responsive, sent a ton of photos of our babies, and kept us updated throughout our trip. We don’t have the easiest five-animal household, but Lyndsay handled everything with ease. She also did a wonderful job administering medication to one of our 5-month-old kitten, which gave us extra peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future and highly recommend her!”

Jay's knowledge, experience and passion for animals is immediately evident. Not only are they extremely attentive and responsive regarding communication, they put our very anxious senior dog at ease within minutes of meeting. Jay gave wonderful updates with lots of photos at each visit (including always finding our more reclusive cat) and I am so grateful to know my pets were in such good hands.

Jordan was amazing. Communication was phenomenal- everything from scheduling to updates while we were away. Jordan is easy to get along with, and very considerate (a side note of thanks for bringing in a package out of the rain!). We highly recommend Jordan and will be returning customers!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westbrook. On Rover:

- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
