About: I had had three dogs in the time since I was six years old, one being a lab mix and two being Dobermans. I have experience with reactive dogs subsequently, and am not afraid of big or little dogs at all, even if they aren’t the nicest. I have done several week-long dog sits for a former client, as well as a three-week long dog sit for a coworker. I loving long walks myself, and they are even better with a furry companion. I currently work mornings usually until 3, so I would be happy to do some evening walks for those who work late, home-sit and go to the house on my lunch break as well, or do drop ins as needed. I live in an apartment with two other roommates and none of us have pets. Dogs and cats alike are more than welcome to sleep on the bed or furniture, and I have plenty of places for them to hang out as well as necessary equipment (water and food bowls, litter box, litter). We have an unfenced yard, and live on a very quiet and safe residential street that is near a trail along Fore River.
About: I have been working with dogs and cats professionally since May of 2012 with my primary focus on dog walking. From puppies to seniors, I have walked and pet sat all temperaments of dogs. Additionally, I have a year and a half of basic dog training experience, which also included working with reactive and anxious dogs. Being fluent in dog body language is essential! Subcutaneous injections are also a part of my skill set, as I used to have a diabetic cat that needed insulin injections twice daily as well as a client that needed Adequan injections twice a week. I am available any day of the week for walks and drop ins from about 7am - 8pm. I am now available full time for care in the Standish and Gorham areas. I LOVE my job! Taking care of dogs and cats was my heart’s calling and I’ve never looked back. Getting to know your furry critters and building a trusting, mutually beneficial relationship with them is my favorite thing in the world. Every dog and cat has a unique personality and I enjoy learning what works (and what doesn’t work!) for them and lovingly cater to their specific needs, likes, and dislikes. When caring for dogs in my home, they have constant supervision and are free to roam the living space. This is ideal for dogs with separation anxiety! I will do all walks, outdoor playtimes, and potty breaks on leash, as often as they need. If the dog likes, they will sleep in bed with me and my pug mix!
About: Been watching homes and pets for neighbors and loved ones since I was a kid, have continued to do so for acquaintances and friends of friends and have a developed a small network of folks who count me as dependable, professional, and more than competent. My schedule is currently super flexible and I can likely be available whenever you need. Longer stays or overnight stays are also easy to accommodate! Cannot currently accept any pets at my apartment, but happy to bring the dog to a park, let them out in your yard, go for a walk around the block, or just hang out inside with whichever pets need company!
