About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life, so that’s 25 years of loving animals, but just 11 years as the sole caregiver of my own. From Labradors to Chihuahuas, to Police K-9s, I’ve loved them all, though I’m currently a cat lady. For the first time in my life, I don’t have any dogs at the moment, as I don’t feel like I have enough space for it to be fair to them. So this is how I get my dog fix, and my steps in at the same time 🤭. I currently have 2 cats and 1 hedgehog, I’m a sucker for an exotic pet. I’ve also had 4 snakes in the past (my husband is terrified or else I’d have some right now). One of my cats is leash trained, and one has some medical needs, so I’m familiar with oral medication administration as well. I do work full-time during the week, so I am only available after 5pm. Sometimes I’m able to step away for breaks as I work from home 3 days per week, but my work is pretty irregular, so afternoons and evenings are the best bet for my availability. I live in a relatively small condo, so I don’t have much space. As much as I would love to offer boarding, I don’t think it would be fair to your pet, as I also do not have a yard.

About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. We love active days just as much as laid-back ones, and we’re happy to match whatever energy your pup brings. We both grew up in homes with animals- at one point, Amanda had five dogs and a cat! We have cared for dogs of all breeds and energy levels, from teacup-size rescues to large-breed couch potatoes, plus plenty of other animals over the years (including Sparkles the Bearded Dragon, Amanda’s current classroom pet). We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced-in backyard that dogs love to explore. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. Whether it’s a weekend adventure, daily daycare, or a cozy overnight stay, we’re here to make your dog feel happy, safe, and loved. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. Our day care rate is based on an 8 hour day. We're happy to have your dog with us for longer, but we may ask for an additional fee based on the number of hours. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: My super strength as a pet caregiver, is my interest in getting to know an animal's personality and working mindfully and respectfully with their nature. I prioritize safety, trust and attention. I've taught young children and raised kittens, puppies and chickens over the last twenty years. As a lover of Great Pyrenees (having raised three) and cats, I have great respect for the subtle and obvious efforts our animals use to communicate with us. I'm experienced with all ages. Senior pets are very dear to me. I've had the honor to provide comforting care for my own animals and provide tender touch, medications, dietary support, and a calm presence through their final months. About: Having grown up with dogs in my family since I was very young, I have seen how they add so much value to our lives. Our pets lives are short, so they deserve our fullest love and attention. You can rely on me to walk, feed, play, bathe, and care for your pet to my fullest potential. I am home a majority of the time throughout the day, and have plenty of time to care for your pup! I also have a flexible schedule, and can work something out with you. I live near trails and the beach, my home is clean and comfortable. I have a small yard for your pup to play in. I usually spend most my days outdoors.
