7. Alma D.
“We had a wonderful experience leaving our dog Willow with Alma! She was very communicative before and during the booking which always makes the Rover process feel easier and more reassuring. Alma’s dog, Birdy, is super sweet as well. Willow seemed comfortable right away and according to Alma settled in more as the day went on. Great yard, deck for doggie lounging and overall set up from the house (super easy to see the yard from most parts of the downstairs). We will definitely book again. Highly recommend!”
8. Susan L.
“Susan is a wonderful communicator and we loved all the photos she shared during two days of doggy daycare! She was very attentive and took great care of our Cash! Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a great dog caregiver in the Portland area because she goes above and beyond. Her and her dog Blue are great caregivers!”

10. Catharine S.
“I am the owner of an amazingly playful, outgoing, 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix named Zeke. Unfortunately, I travel a good amount of the time and am not always able to bring him along with me. Catharine has helped me care for Zeke a number of times and has always gone above and beyond! She is reliable, trustworthy and just plain fabulous. Zeke and I couldn't imagine going to anyone else in times of need.”
11. Jill C.
“Jill has cared for our dog (Lacey) and cat (Oscar) several times in the past and she never disappoints. Our animals are very comfortable around her, and she takes great care of them, walking the dog a couple of times a day and giving Oscar the pets and play time he desires. I would highly recommend Jill as a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and always loved taking care of them. I would love to take care of your pets too. I love to go for long walks, runs, and I’m outside for most of the day! I am currently a college student with most weekends free, so I’ll have plenty of time to take good care of your pups and cats! I have an unfenced yard but plenty of trails and roads near me. I will always take our furry friends out with a leash. This is an animal friendly home and they’re free to roam around when they please.
15. Rachel L.
“Rachel and her children were so wonderful with Reynard. Rachel sent frequent updates, pictures, and videos during his stay. Reynard came back home a happy boy. We would definitely recommend Rachel and book with her again”
16. Roy & Simone T.
“Roy is an exceptional human being who loves all dogs from various walks of life. Roy is incredibly calm, considerate and kind. We are next door neighbors and our dog absolutely loves him, and he tackles him constantly. Roy’s wife Simone also has an insatiable love for dogs and couldn’t be any sweeter and also very responsible. They have two dogs, Jack and Donnie, who are so silly and gentle. I would highly recommend these two to watch your family member as they have watched over our dog and given him a 5-star experience every time—even let him cuddle and sleep in their bed with them —just like he was one of their own. I feel so fortunate to have them live nextdoor!”

About: I've lived with animals my whole life. Growing up, I lived with many cats, dogs, rabbits, and two amazon parrots. I have volunteered at shelters and worked at a pet grooming service in my teens. Currently, I live with four cats, one gecko, and many different pet insects and arachnids. At the moment, I'm sitting a dog and a four year old child for a neighbor every Monday, as well as semi-regularly watching a pair of senior dogs and four adult cats for a different couple. I would love an opportunity to care for peoples exotic pets because as someone with exotic pets of my own, I know it can be very difficult to find knowledgeable and trustworthy sitters to care for them if I'm gone. Of course, I'm also happy to meet and care for fuzzy friends too! If you have any questions, please just shoot me a message. When I'm not sitting I make my own hours for work, so my schedule is very flexible. This excludes Mondays when I sit for my neighbor. Because I already live with several pets, I usually care for pets in their owners' homes, but I do make exceptions for well-behaved pets that get along with cats. I have a large (unfenced) yard and a car fit for multiple dogs to get them there or to any destination if the situation calls for it. As a precaution, I will always require that the owner be present with me for the introduction, and I would ask that they allow me to accompany them on a short walk or be present during a feeding so that we can build trust before the owner leaves. Every pet has a different personality and set of needs and I pride myself on my ability to understand animal body language well enough to know what they need and want. Care and interaction vary case by case, but my main goal is to keep all the animals in my care safe and happy.
