“Lacey, Chad, and Joseph were amazing hosts!! Hazel was happy, tired and thriving upon pick up. Lacey was very informative and welcoming and they have a beautiful and safe set up for your 4 pawed family members. If I could give more than 5 stars I surely would. We needed a sitter in a pinch when ours wasn’t available and Lacey was quick to respond and help us out so that all of us (including Hazel) could have a fun day trip! She kept me up to date throughout the day with pictures and updates, providing lots of toys and games for Hazel so she wouldn’t be bored and loved on her like she was her own. I will definitely recommend Lacey and her fam to anyone who needs a sitter in the Southern Maine area and we definitely will inquire again. Thanks so much guys!!”

About: I was born and raised with dogs, and animals continue to be a huge part of my life. I have an associates degree in veterinary technology, and am a licensed veterinary technician. I have fostered senior and special needs dogs, volunteered with shelters and rescues, and spent years working in a busy shelter/clinic in NYC. I also have a great love and respect for birds, having fostered many pigeons and doves through my former job at a wildlife center. I have extensive experience with feeding, caring for and medicating several species of animals, but my original and enduring love of dogs and cats is at the heart of what keeps me working in this field. I believe that each animal is an individual who is deserving of love, respect and consideration, and improving the lives of all creatures is my mission! I"m currently working part time and from home, so I have plenty of flexibility and availability to arrange time to care for your furry or feathered friend. I currently have one pet of my own - a dove. He lives part time in his cage and part time free-range, so any dogs I take in for boarding would have to do a meet and greet to make sure everyone will be able to peacefully coexist!

“Melissa was very easy to plan with and helped make the process simple. My dog really enjoyed her time with her and was thoroughly exhausted at the end of the day! I also really appreciate all of the pictures Melissa sent during my dog’s stay!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs. They’re just the best. My partner and I have been consistently boarding our friends’ dogs for the past five years or so — for a weekend at a time, or for up to a month sometimes. Your dog (we prefer to take one at a time) is sure to be entertained, fed, and walked (two long walks a day if the dog is up for it), as well as pampered with as many scratches as they want. We’ve boarded some senior dogs as well, and they’ve been wonderful. I work full-time, and would prefer to limit myself to weekends currently. Weekends are usually casual, with occasional trips to the beach or the woods. My partner and I would love to have a walking buddy when we venture out! I have a fairly large apartment, and dogs are allowed on the furniture. If yours is trained to not be on the furniture, I’ll respect your rule. I’ve watched dogs who are crate trained, and am familiar with how that works. I just ask for a food schedule and restriction list — I never give dogs “people food,” unless of course their person gives the okay — and the dog gets the living room to themself when it’s time for bed. Morning walks and some zoomies, breakfast, playtime whenever, plenty of scratches, then another late afternoon walk, dinner, and chill time.

“Our Archie loves hanging out with Katy and her dog, Zuni, for doggy day care! Katy is very quick to reply, took great pictures and Archie always seems very happy and well-taken care of when we pick him up:)”

“Brooke responded quickly to my communications and accepted our last minute booking which was so helpful. Our pup got frequent walks and had a good day in Brooke’s care!”

“Rose was a delight to work with and scout had the best time.”

“I am so grateful to have found Nicholas to help care for my 4 m/o puppy. I adopted her as a stray rescue and he has provided the perfect family home setting to keep her safe and happy during my long shifts working in a hospital. He is always quick to respond, and it means so much to not worry about her while I am at work. Most importantly - she is always excited to arrive, and so content and exhausted when I pick her up at the end of the day. To anyone considering booking Nicholas, you will not be sorry!!”

14. Andrew & Jeffrey R.
“I was initially apprehensive about leaving my dog, Rosa, with a new sitter, but Andy exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment we met, I knew he would shower my little friend with love and care. Andy's compassionate, attentive, and fun demeanor immediately put me at ease. During our initial consultation, Andy asked thoughtful questions about Rosa's habits, likes, and dislikes, and even took the time to understand her unique personality and quirks. He was flexible and accommodating when it came to scheduling walks and playtime, and kept me updated with photos and stories about Rosa's adventures through regular pupdates. What truly impressed me was Andy's genuine affection for Rosa. He treated her like his own from the start, demonstrating a deep understanding of canine behavior and body language. He even sent me videos of Rosa playing with her favorite toys and snuggling up for belly rubs and head scratches! Rosa now recognizes him and gets incredibly excited to see him, giving him four paws up! Andy is always available to answer any questions or concerns I may have, and I feel confident knowing that Rosa is in good hands. I highly recommend Andy to anyone seeking a trustworthy, compassionate, and experienced dog sitter. He truly has a gift for connecting with dogs, and we're grateful to have found him. Thanks again for taking such wonderful care of my beloved friend! It such a relief to know she is in your loving care while I’m away. ♥️”
