About: Hi there! We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. We love active days just as much as laid-back ones, and we’re happy to match whatever energy your pup brings. We both grew up in homes with animals- at one point, Amanda had five dogs and a cat! We have cared for dogs of all breeds and energy levels, from teacup-size rescues to large-breed couch potatoes, plus plenty of other animals over the years (including Sparkles the Bearded Dragon, Amanda’s current classroom pet). We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced-in backyard that dogs love to explore. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. Whether it’s a weekend adventure, daily daycare, or a cozy overnight stay, we’re here to make your dog feel happy, safe, and loved. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: I grew up with a big black lab mix, and now I have a tiny miniature poodle. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and pets of all types! Would love to care for your furry friend! I just finished a seasonal summer job and I am looking for some extra money during the holidays/ winter! My schedule is very open and flexible I think animals are comfortable around people who are comfortable with animals, and that’s me! Willing to walk, feed, clean, and play with ur pets!

About: I'm a lifelong dog owner and have enjoyed the experience of teaching my daughters the joys and responsibilities of caring for our dogs. As lead parent, I've been passionate about opting for daily outdoor adventures with my daughters and dogs and have often heard, "Boy, you have your hands full!", to which I have always replied, "I need to keep everybody happy somehow." Romps on the beach or marsh, trail running, and biking or rollerblading the Eastern Trail are just a few of our favorites. Over the past few years, we've said goodbye to our beloved Boss and Kona. We're still craving dog energy around our home and outdoor adventures, and want to assist other families in the Scarborough community to achieve "a tired dog, a happy dog" experience that we've known and love. We feel blessed to have a doggy daycare buddy, Finnegan, with us most weekdays and he is dog friendly. I work from home while my daughters are in school and am off with them during the summer months. We are available to care for your dog throughout the day and evening, and love boarding dogs for overnights. Summer hours are very flexible for walks. During the school year we can walk your dog weekdays after 3:30PM; or as scheduled outside of those hours upon request. My Mondays and Fridays tend to be light on my primary work and I carve out time for doggy adventures and exercise. We can accommodate based on your needs and recommendations specific for your dog(s). Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues beforehand. If any medication needs to be administered, I'd be glad to assist.

About: I truly care about taking the time to get to know each pet’s personality. I am attentive to specific routines, including administering medications. I am experienced with dogs of all ages, from puppies to older dogs. You can count on me to treat your dog with the same love and respect I'd give my own. I am currently a graduate student with plenty of time to meet the needs of your family! I am available all day Wednesday and Friday. I am also available Monday morning, Thursday morning, and Tuesday afternoon. I am also available on the weekends when needed! I always respect your home and your pet’s routine. I double-check doors, leashes, and feeding instructions to keep everything safe, clean, and consistent. I prioritize safety and trust with every visit.

“If I could give Lexie 10 stars I would! She was such a wonderful caretaker to my cat Maggie who has specific medication needs & gastro issues. Lexie even offered to set up a meet & greet prior to get to know Maggie and ensure things went smoothly while I was out of the state. Lexie is a great communicator, follows important directions and made me feel connected to my Maggie while I was away. The videos, pictures and detailed and thorough messaging was a dream. I had so much less anxiety than I had prior to booking Lexie and was able to enjoy my time off knowing that Maggie was in the best care. Overall, Lexie is just overall incredible at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone who needs pet care for their dog or cat. She is also just a great human in general with a kind personality and is super easy to talk with. I will definitely be utilizing Lexie in the future. About: I've had pets my entire life. They've been of all shapes, sizes, ages, and unique health needs. I only work part-time at my current job so I'm left with a lot of free time. I'd like to fill it constructively, and what better way than to spend time with happy critters that I love! I usually work less than 20 hours a week, and have a child in school, so my mornings and afternoons are usually free. When I do work during the week, it's only short shifts. Try to keep the pace whatever pup I have is comfortable with. Diligently cleaning up after on walks. Making sure the pup feels comfortable, happy, and safe in all situations.
