About: Please reach out for any availability and questions. Ive taken care of many different types of animals of different levels. I have owned a verity of pets through my life. From bats, chickens, horses, reptiles, rodent, cats, dogs and more. I had my own farm when I lived in Florida. I have taken care off family, friends, and neighbours animals. I work a full-Time, 8-4 M-F job. I have weekends off. I have some flexibility with my daily hours. I can make arrangements if needed. I have a fenced in yard and two leads attach to my house and garage. My dogs are pretty lazy and rather enjoy their time in the house. They are pretty codependent. I will care for my clients pets as if they were my own while following their expectations and requirements.

About: I have loved being with my dog Boomer for almost 5 years now, from 7.5 weeks on. I also handled my family dogs on numerous occasions. I am currently in between jobs, so my entire schedule is molded around being available for a pet at anytime. I understand the need to have someone as devoted to their pet as I am. My schedule is very flexible. I have a friendly dog named Boomer, he is almost 5 and loves to go on adventures. Living here in Yarmouth gives me almost immediate access to many parks, trails and dog parks for our pets to go romp around in.

About: Hi! I’m a veterinary student home for the summer, and I’d love to help care for your pets while you’re away. I’m currently in vet school and have years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and more — both in clinical settings and at home. My experience includes walking, feeding, administering medications, and managing pets of all temperaments and sizes. I’ve also worked in animal hospitals and have a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and health. Growing up, I cared for my own pets and frequently dog-sat for neighbors and family friends — it’s always been second nature to me. Whether your pup loves belly rubs, playtime, or just needs a calm and reliable presence, I’ve got it covered. I’m responsible, responsive, and will treat your pet like one of my own. Let me know how I can make your pet’s day brighter while you’re away! I have a very flexible schedule with work right now, allowing me to take care of your pet's needs throughout the week whenever you need. When caring for pets in your home, I aim to keep your animals as comfortable and stress-free as possible by maintaining their normal routine. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules and medications to walks, potty breaks, and playtime. I make sure fresh water is always available and that your pet gets plenty of love, attention, and stimulation throughout the day. I will also make sure to be respectful of your space and tidy up after myself and your pet! Because I’m a veterinary student, I’m also trained to spot signs of illness or discomfort, and I’m confident handling pets with special medical needs or behavioral quirks. Whether your pet loves cuddling, playing, or quiet companionship, I tailor my care to what makes them feel at home.

Jack is kind, caring and was great with Tilly. They are very flexible as we had to change plans at the last minute. This was much appreciated. I feel Tilly is in good hands with Jack and will definitely have them take care of Tilly in the future. Highly recommend.

Annie did a great job with my dog! His walking needs are variable and she always made sure that even if they took a shorter walk, she spent time with him. I’m really appreciative of her communication and her genuine care for my pet.

Joshua was great with Sushi! He took her for several walks and did doggy daycare for us in his home. He even gave me an adorable Polaroid of her after her first day and a little report card. Definitely recommend and would book again!

Jill gave my dog, Finn, an amazing day when I had to travel for work. I always hate to leave him for long stretches of time, but I didn't have to worry at all because Jill gave him walks, took him to the beach, and even kept him company! When I came back from my long day of traveling, Finn was happy and tired from having a great day. Grateful to Jill for taking such excellent care of him!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Peaks Island. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Peaks Island.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Peaks Island. On Rover:

  • 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
