About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have had three dogs and two cats over the years. I’m currently raising a golden retriever puppy with my family and absolutely love spending time with dogs. Friends have always trusted me to watch their pets while they’re out of town because they know I treat every animal like family. I’m the kind of person who stops people on the street just to ask if I can pet their dog. Caring for animals genuinely makes me happy, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability to give your pets the attention, care, walks, and love they deserve. I care for every pet like my own, always putting their safety, comfort, and happiness first. I stay alert on walks, careful around other dogs, people, traffic, and our surroundings to make sure pets feel safe and secure at all times. I also have a fenced yard for safe play and experience caring for and crate training puppies since I currently have 2 dogs.

I would’ve to hep get your pups outside when I get home from work or before depending on my shift. Please reach out to coordinate! Not only will I walk you dog but I’ll make sure to give them lots of love and more than just a bathroom break! I’ll make sure to get the energy they’ve been saving all day out.
“We were very pleased with Lily’s service. Having a mid day walk was able to cut down on the potty accidents with our older dog while we were at work. She even was able to tame and walk our other protective dog that’s never gone outside for any other dog walker!”

I carefully plan my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and care they deserve, whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay. About: I've been a small animal veterinary technician for more than 10 years. My specialty is senior care, including managing cats or dogs with diabetes or kidney disease. I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. I am also an experienced horse owner. I am currently working part-time, and can easily fit in visits to your furry friends. I am based out of Gray and will travel within 30-45 minutes of my home. I can also provide over-night care as well. For home visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes with your pet at each visit, if not longer. During that time I will play with them, take them for walks (if canine), or sit quietly if a kitty or older canine prefers. I will feed, ensure they have fresh, clean water, and maintain litter boxes if feline.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and have lots of experience caring for all kinds and sizes of dogs! I am careful and loving of all dogs, without exception. I have long experience walking and working with reactive dogs, and have cared for dogs overnight for families with as many as eleven dogs! My recent experience is with herding and working breeds so I am accustomed to handling large, smart dogs. If walking your dog, I'll walk at a fast clip or ramble to allow lots of sniffing, as your dog requires. I love to jog alongside a dog as well, and may do that if desired for repeat clients with athletic dogs. For drop-ins, I'll play, snuggle, or provide enrichment to break up the day for your dog while you are not home. Finally, I am a teacher on summer break so I am truly flexible and available, looking forward to being outside with dogs in the beautiful Maine summer. Thanks for considering my profile! I’m a teacher so my schedule is totally open in the summer. I love to walk and jog with dogs! I will have limited availability for continued care once the school year starts. I have long experience with caring for all sorts of animals, not just mammals. I love animals and look forward to helping yours live their best lives!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
